- The Three Degrees is an American female vocal group, which was originally formed in 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The original members were Fayette Pinkney, Shirley Porter and Linda Turner. Porter and Turner were soon replaced by Janet Harmon and Helen Scott. The line-up from 1967 to 1976 was Pinkney, Valerie Holiday and Sheila Ferguson,
The Runner was a hit for the Three Degrees in 1979 reaching #6 in the Netherlands and Belgium and # 11 in the UK

This song was COPIED and reproduced by Indian music director "Bappi Lahiri" with song title "Inteha Ho Gai" in Bollywood movie "Sharaabi" released in year 1984. Music director earned a lot of fame and money with re-production but never gave any credit to it's original artist "The Three Degrees" who really deserves. (source: copycatlistcom)
