I saw this video today. I was very touched. I read Brook’s book and learned about the importance of 20ema, and only discovered its usage, but I used it to break through 20ema and then start to enter at a higher or lower point. It is slightly different from your usage to observe the closing of a candle at the high or low of the previous one after the break, and it makes sense. thank you very much
EUR/USD JAN 2020 - JUNE 2020 Backtesting results H1 Time frame 94 trades 37 wins 57 losses at 1:1.4 RRR giving a negative expectancy of -5.2% and a strike rate of 39%
Just used this technique on my recent trades, and it worked! try using this with MACD indicator when candle crosses 20EMA check if signal line touches MACD line and momentum of volume is increasing on histogram for confirmation.

i think this video was created for me because now im at the process where i lost so much money and i even thought of quitting but something tells me that i should start afresh and do the hard work because there is no other way, I have to succeed
I tried this on EURGBP.. did 99 trades in back test.. for a 44.44% win rate.. but the break even is 41.67% using 1.4RR. So it is profitable but only 2.77%. I would assume that would get eaten up in fees commissions etc etc .. but definitely interesting.. be curious to see on other pairs..

I'm a beginner but I would of thought the process would be much faster using historical data rather than waiting for the setups in real time I could be wrong.
What do you mean with instead of going back? I think a good suggestion is to backtest with historical data and have at least 100 trades in a single currency pair, and if all good start demo trading which can also be considered as forward-testing for a period of time before putting in your money. But that's just an opinion.
I'm NEW to trading. From what i've gathered over the last few months of listening and learning from you and others, these analysis strategies are applicable to STOCKS as well as FX. I don't know if the back testing will work, but i'm going to try and back test it on a few stocks, even if only to practice back testing.

I havent finished the full EAP programme yet but its great. It teaches you full profitable strategies (without skipping essential bits like on TH-cam vids) on the best pairs (not all pairs works for all strategies) and by the end of the course you get full trading plan, spreadsheet, risk management plan etc and most importantly you get full support from Steven via emails. I have been in forex for over a year now and struggled to learn just off TH-cam (read a few books as well) and still was losing money. I just finished a manual backtest of 100 trades for gbpchf, 41% winrate and just barely profitable (my data of course). For 100 trades to end up profitable with no optimisation at all seems quite good.

Simple yet effective. I’m 3-0 already and I just started using this strategy. I suggest that you combine this strategy with an indicator like the Mac D or stochastic oscillator for increased accuracy.

This strategy works the best i found on like jpy pairs with like a 50-60ish % win rate

I havent finished the full EAP programme yet but its great. It teaches you full profitable strategies (without skipping essential bits like on TH-cam vids) on the best pairs (not all pairs works for all strategies) and by the end of the course you get full trading plan, spreadsheet, risk management plan etc and most importantly you get full support from Steven via emails. I have been in forex for over a year now and struggled to learn just off TH-cam (read a few books as well) and still was losing money. EAP is like the eye opener that puts all the missing links into place. I have learnt more in the 2 weeks with EAP than I learnt in the last year. I will update my feedback once I finish the course and earn my first million 😁

I just finished a manual backtest of 100 trades for gbpchf, 41% winrate and just barely profitable (my data of course). For 100 trades to end up profitable with no optimisation at all seems quite good.

You have at least once taken overlapping trades. So this must be taken in consideration when backtesting.

Simple yet effective. I’m 3-0 already and I just started using this strategy. I suggest that you combine this strategy with an indicator like the Mac D or stochastic oscillator for increased accuracy.
