The headmaster scenario is really easy once you understand a few basic things. These days I challenge myself to see how many points I can get. I always do the tour first and then the dinner.

Schmooze points are capped at 60, you can't get more than 54 Room Points before the tour ends, and the most you could ever fill the HM's hunger bar during the scenario is from -29 to +100, giving 65 points. I believe you can show more than 3 rooms during the tour. It's all about points. When you reach more than 40 points, the tour will end automatically, but if you don't, after showing 3 rooms you can continue.
Before my sim greeted the headmaster I spam this interaction to the limit, they can greet each other a few times in a row. But the option is available only before they greeted each other. It boosts their relationship significantly. It’s cheating but it’s ok with me.
I consider myself a Headmaster master, most of my sims go to private school simply because I like the uniforms (That's my Bri*ish culture coming out). However after watching this video there's so much I had no idea about, I assumed the headmaster just preferred food that requires a high cooking skill to make like turkey or lobster, no more slaving over the stove, he's just getting spaghetti from now on. I don't know if this is fact, but I think when schmoozing about school work etc its better for teens to do it, idk why I just rarely have a good interaction when the adults do it.
If you fail at first try, you can call the HM on the phone as a friend like any other sim (or invite him over as a friend). Then invite him officially second time, when he already likes you. One time my mom-sim had a romance with the HM :D It helped a lot!
I remember a few times the headmaster didn't even give the family a chance to talk to him. As soon as he arrived, he said he didn't think the family was fit for private school and he just left. I think I read somewhere it's because of having trash or holes around the house, but I'm not sure.
In another test for the scenario, I literally littered the entire lot with rubbish piles when the HM arrived. The Environment was at the minimum, -100. Did not scare the HM off. It may have been something else, like the HM not finding a place to enter the house or exit his car.
Extra tip for those who have seasons: You can pretty much ace the director scenario by serving fish your sim has caught, the rarer, the better. A golden trout dinner brings a ridiculous amount of points.
I suddenly remembered that I’ve been playing this since age 8-9 and thought “private school” meant something like, it’s just you and the teacher in the whole class.🤣
I never had troubles with it, not even when I was 9 years old. It was only when I came on TH-cam that I saw that other found it hard. But yeah maybe that’s just me…. I love these sort of video’s though! Learn something new everyday
Thank you very much! I was never able to get any of the kids into private school before 😅 I have been playing the game for the last few months again and will definitely try this 👍
I always used to have my Sims make Lobster Thermidor beforehand, put it in their inventories, and then take it out and serve it just when he arrived :)
haha same! i mean i certainly failed a few times especially at first, but i played sims 2 as a kid and honestly did not have difficulty getting a family into private school. i would actively choose not to put them in if it made no sense for their story 😂
I thought that the tour would end when reaching 40 or more points, rather how many rooms have been shown, but yeah, 40 points is usually 3-4 rooms. Also for the schmooze points it would always work to make the headmaster have dinner next to a serious and not-nice Sim. Both the General and Tank always get a load of points through that.
I might be talking crap here, but I do recall seeing my Strangetown and Veronaville sims wear those different coloured uniforms to school looong time ago. Haven't played in those neighbourhoods for ages, maybe everybody wearing blue uniform in all the towns was broken with one of the updates? A little trivia about the headmaster disliking salad - private school is a base game mechanic, and leftovers functionality didn't arrive until Four Seasons, and storing food in inventory wasn't a thing prior to University, so back in the good old days the sims had to prepare the food for dinner as the headmaster was already around, to make sure it wouldn't spoil during his visit. All the more advanced dishes come with higher risk for them either getting burned or starting a fire - should the fire happen during headmasters visit, the points would be deducted from overall score. Chef's salad does not require cooking, therefore it can't start a fire. So this was dev team's way of making sure you put an effort and not try to stuff headmaster with a safe salad :D Also, if I'm not mistaken, romantic interactions significantly increase smoozing points. Some sims will do everything to secure their children's future 😅
That's most likely because romantic interactions have a larger impact on relations in general. It's probably not viable most of the time because every HM starts with a near neutral relationship to your Sims. Could be more interesting if it's a second attempt, or a second wave of kids, though!
Thanks for making this! I bombed my first headmaster tour cause my game glitched and he got stuck on the front porch, and my tour sucked on my second one because I couldn't figure out how to give a tour, lol. Third times a charm I guess.
A couple of things I should note: Teen sims in private school with start a teen job at level 2. If your front yard is messy (with overgrown plants usually) the headmaster will reject you instantly (that's something I remember experiencing anyway). You can max out the schmooze points but busting out the voodoo doll from BV for a massive friendship boost with the headmaster because that item is super busted in this game.
I never knew about the sparkly Seasons fresh food - great tips! It's become so easy for me to get my Sims into private school, I just cheat with the college adjustor these days because it's monotonous.
A good tip for this is catch a bass and make bass with squash. It is super filling, takes no cooking skill, and it doesn't usually take too long to catch a bass.
thanks for this video ! i tried to get a teen in private school yesterday and i was kinda in a hurry to cook so i just went with a chips platter and got 18 food points LOL i'll definitely serve him porkchops today 👍
Fresh Fish (bass can be caught easily, and no one needs a high cooking level to prepare), is actually the most filling meal, and I find that I receive the most points when made well. I used to be a die-hard lobster thermidor player, but the failure rate is too high, fires can break out, and if you want to prepare early (placing meal in fridge), mods that allow your sims to autonomously eat from the fridge need to be removed (Sims tend to like to eat the highest quality foods first). Does the Private School Mod allow for scholarships for the poor sims (I am looking at you Beau/unborn baby Broke, et al)? I agree that the hot tub is too glitchy, are there any mods that combat that? I think it is hard-coded for lightning strikes in the head master scenario, so placing indoors might help alleviate that aspect. Another tip is to call the headmaster the same day, and hours prior to 5pm, or else his arrival will be glitched. Also, if the outside of your home has a low environment score (weeds, puddles, trash, etc.), the headmaster will not even enter the home, and you will fail before you begin. I sometimes purposefully fail the scenario, to get to know the headmaster better, to improve chances (as well as grades) for a second go at the scenario, plus now that you have met the headmaster, he can be invited out/over, or just chatted with on the phone to further build up a rapport.
When I was a kid, one thing that I thought counted towards impressing the headmaster was getting the sims to be wearing fancy clothes. You know, present themselves well dressed, either in normal clothing or formal xD And I'd spend so much time make the sims run back and forth to the wardrobes, because they kept changing out of the good-looking clothes! - A dive in the pool? Now you're going to have a meal with the headmaster in bikini! - Sim took a little nap on the bed? Now you're going to talk with the headmaster in the living room while wearing pyjamas! It drove me insane and no wonder I never could get the kids into the private school. The headmaster doesn't care if you're naked even xD
Turn on the lights for the headmaster's tour to increase the environment. He always likes to see toilets no matter what. I think it's because the room is stuffed with objects relative to its area. The environment calculation isn't realistic. Someone wrote that Will Wright originally wanted to make an architecture simulator, but the result is meh. You can have someone gift you good food in the inventory. I think you need a mod that drops the person's priority in the hot tub and makes him exit on high body temperature or precipitation. I've never gotten him to drink coffee. Turns out he needs an adult or an elder (not a teen) with a coffee cup in hand before he considers drinking coffee. Otherwise it won't count if you just have 2 cups waiting. And he won't see the community espresso machine or a mod that has the category. He needs the Espresso Machine guid. In private school they wear small shoes. A mod is needed for them to have the black rebel boots.
So there are exactly 3 basegame uniforms and 3 basegame hoods. I can bet my ass all 3 were to be used based on the hood you play with but it was never implemented.
omg my headmaster also got stuck in the hot tub, never gave me points, and ended up failing the scenario. i had no idea it was known to be buggy i thought i had just downloaded a conflicting mod or something
@@ScrawnyTreeDemon Looks like links don't work as I thought I had already commented on this yesterday - you can look up "Mini Fixes" by Lenna9 on Mod The Sims. One of those mini fixes is the headmaster hot tub fix.
Watching this now because I didn't own the sims 2 when this came out (I finally decided to download it) If your sim uses the voodoo powers of friendship on the headmaster and succeeds, that's 60 schmooze points. I usually then serve cake and the headmaster is satisfied without a tour. Note that this only works if your sim hasn't done this previously on the headmaster, or the relationship with the headmaster has dropped back to 0/0 (note that there are 3 headmasters in every neighbourhood).
Private school being free seems to be an oversight they never fixed for some reason. Both the memory and the pop-up after the headmaster scenario clearly state that private school is gonna make the player pay for it which it doesn't.
One thing I experienced is if you have sims woo-hoo'ing during the tour and he walks in on it, he instantly becomes disgusted and says the family isn't up to his standards/etc.
Hey Merta, have you ever noticed that cats NEVER sleep on a cat tree without the controlPets cheat enabled (cats never sleep on it autonomously for some reason)? It always bothered me and i've never seen a modification fixing it, i heard rumors that cats use it only when they have high relations with other pets etc.
The headmaster is the most annoying character in the game. I invited him over three times and the first two times he got stuck in his car. The third, I was 50 minutes away from completing it but my Sim decided to give birth and the headmaster glitched and reset 😂
Tried some of this and was 1 point short. My sim's husband was the one who wanted his children in Private school. I used them failing to convince the headmaster to finally break up their marriage (as part of the storyline). The man is such a horrible dad, horrible father and horrible person in general. Can't wait to play him solo when i get to his turn in the rotation (i moved him out)
Yeah, I guess private school is mostly for rich people, so makes sense 😆 Never thought of that. Will he eat if it's not regular food served on a counter?
Schmoose works better if your Sim have good charisma. I always choose the sim with more charisma for interact with the headmaster. I'm sorry for my bad English, I'm a Spanish speaker.
If you're friends with him and if your interests on school, money and job are high, you immediately get 60 points for schmoozing. Then all you have to do is show him the house, you don't even need to serve dinner.
For some reason I get 0 points for the food every single time and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. And I can only show him one room of the house and I’m unable to show him more and my house has more rooms upstairs but it won’t let me and he keeps saying he’s seen the room before
I've said this before somewhere but I'll never forget when I got more points than the max needed and my alien sim got rejected and I'm inlined to think it was because he was an alien hybrid... seemed sus to me
I always use cheats with the headmaster. 😂 I use Sim Modder to raise my relationship with him, making it much easier to earn schmooze points. I also manually raise the level of whatever Sim is cooking to the max and cook lobster.
Możesz pokazać dyrektorowi tyle pokoi, ile chcesz, wycieczka po pokojach zatrzymuje się, gdy osiągniesz 40 punktów. (I translated this, sorry, I don't speak Polish. I hope this helps anyway!)
There's actually worse things. In a follow-up to the whole chef salad thing I analysed on that Reddit post, someone was curious as to the different ways that Pork Chops could be cooked (as I mentioned it in the post). The game determining whether a Sim is a good, medium, or bad cook goes five layers of code deep. Just to show different animations of Sims cooking pork chops, and improve its quality based on the animation that was shown. It's insane how much work went into the game.
This is completely unrelated, but for some reason, in my Sims 2 game, the unsavory dastardly looking guy has entered my sims home lot. All he does is harass my sims by pickpocketing them every time they leave the house. Is this supposed to happen? Or did I do something to make this happen.
Thankfully, Richard Dastardly left on his own eventually so now my sims' wallets are saved. But now I have an army of gardeners in my house. I guess there was a farmer's convention I wasn't aware of.
I hope I'm not paying them by the hour because I haven't seen any of them trim a single hedge yet. They're just playing poker in my living room and eating all of my food.

haha same! i mean i certainly failed a few times especially at first, but i played sims 2 as a kid and honestly did not have difficulty getting a family into private school. i would actively choose not to put them in if it made no sense for their story 😂
I didn't know about the extra points with coffee, drinks and hot tub! :0 thank you!
Love the sparkly tomato cereal lol
yummy
So this was dev team's way of making sure you put an effort and not try to stuff headmaster with a safe salad :D
Also, if I'm not mistaken, romantic interactions significantly increase smoozing points.
I once invited the headmaster while my Sims were living in an apartment, and after greeting, I got an immediate reject message.
If you prepare dinner with fresh ingredients from the garden, even a burnt meal will give you over 40 points.
Thanks for making this! I bombed my first headmaster tour cause my game glitched and he got stuck on the front porch, and my tour sucked on my second one because I couldn't figure out how to give a tour, lol. Third times a charm I guess.
A couple of things I should note:
Teen sims in private school with start a teen job at level 2.
I’ve needed a video guide for years… even though one has probably existed for years.
I would love more videos like this
When I was a kid, one thing that I thought counted towards impressing the headmaster was getting the sims to be wearing fancy clothes. You know, present themselves well dressed, either in normal clothing or formal xD
And I'd spend so much time make the sims run back and forth to the wardrobes, because they kept changing out of the good-looking clothes!
I laughed way too hard when the headmaster was struck by lightning looool
Did the headmaster drink too much coffee? His head shaking, hahaha. (0:02)
Sims always shake after coffee, one is enough 😆
I was so scared of this “quest” in sims 2 😂 I was failing all the time when I was a kid
mmmm fresh tomato cereal, my fav! Thank you, this was very interesting :)
I didn't know about coffee or drinks. I thought I might learn something new even though I don't usually have problems with headmasters.
I never knew about the coffee/ drinks etc! I use the mod that makes private school cost money to make it more realistic
Always love these videos from you
i had no idea you got extra points for serving coffe, it makes alot of sense tho
So there are exactly 3 basegame uniforms and 3 basegame hoods.
I can bet my ass all 3 were to be used based on the hood you play with but it was never implemented.
I actually remember them working! They must have been broken somewhere along the way.
Yeah, green for Strangetown and red for Veronaville, but they don't work 😆
omg my headmaster also got stuck in the hot tub, never gave me points, and ended up failing the scenario. i had no idea it was known to be buggy i thought i had just downloaded a conflicting mod or something
There's a mod on mod the Sims that fixes the hot tub issue
Oh, cool!
Could you drop the name, by any chance?
@@ScrawnyTreeDemon Looks like links don't work as I thought I had already commented on this yesterday - you can look up "Mini Fixes" by Lenna9 on Mod The Sims. One of those mini fixes is the headmaster hot tub fix.
@@smwforever45 Excellent! Thank you
He got struck by lightining LMAOOOOO
Watching this now because I didn't own the sims 2 when this came out (I finally decided to download it)
If your sim uses the voodoo powers of friendship on the headmaster and succeeds, that's 60 schmooze points. I usually then serve cake and the headmaster is satisfied without a tour. Note that this only works if your sim hasn't done this previously on the headmaster, or the relationship with the headmaster has dropped back to 0/0 (note that there are 3 headmasters in every neighbourhood).
I've never been this early to a marticore video :)
Private school being free seems to be an oversight they never fixed for some reason. Both the memory and the pop-up after the headmaster scenario clearly state that private school is gonna make the player pay for it which it doesn't.
Yeah, literally the symbol of private school has a simoleon on it...
Therapist: when did your anxiety begin?
Me: sims 2 headmaster event
I really appreciate this
I am at the top of my career and graduated in the Dean’s list. Schmooze about School and Work score me a solid 80 points out of 90😊 lmao
One thing I experienced is if you have sims woo-hoo'ing during the tour and he walks in on it, he instantly becomes disgusted and says the family isn't up to his standards/etc.
No, that shouldn't happen, unless he has feelings for one of the Sims and gets jealous
As a cat owner with a cat tree, this is just realistic cat behavior lol
8:05 how to change theme from blue to silver?
Gray UI mod
Next how to have a good party 👍
That's so uncomplicated that I might make it a Short 😂
No because that's so true 💀 it's so much harder for me lmao it used to be worse I've gotten better but still
Thank You sooooooo Much!!
Can't wait to play him solo when i get to his turn in the rotation (i moved him out)
For the dinner, I would put up a banquet table and serve turkey
Yeah, I guess private school is mostly for rich people, so makes sense 😆 Never thought of that. Will he eat if it's not regular food served on a counter?
Schmoose works better if your Sim have good charisma. I always choose the sim with more charisma for interact with the headmaster. I'm sorry for my bad English, I'm a Spanish speaker.
No need to apologize for English on this channel, I'm not a native either!
If you're friends with him and if your interests on school, money and job are high, you immediately get 60 points for schmoozing. Then all you have to do is show him the house, you don't even need to serve dinner.
It's not that easy to befriend him within 6 hours, but you can use a voodoo doll 😆
whooo marticore!!!
For some reason I get 0 points for the food every single time and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. And I can only show him one room of the house and I’m unable to show him more and my house has more rooms upstairs but it won’t let me and he keeps saying he’s seen the room before
Maybe a mod interferes?
I always wanted to make a TH-cam video like this
I've said this before somewhere but I'll never forget when I got more points than the max needed and my alien sim got rejected and I'm inlined to think it was because he was an alien hybrid... seemed sus to me
I literally got a mod that lets you bribe him instead of dealing with him.
I always use cheats with the headmaster. 😂 I use Sim Modder to raise my relationship with him, making it much easier to earn schmooze points.
I also manually raise the level of whatever Sim is cooking to the max and cook lobster.
(I translated this, sorry, I don't speak Polish. I hope this helps anyway!)
@@smwforever45 yep, I understand 😁 have a nice day 🥰
Such a complicated system damn.
Do you have graves of children on your lot?
No, I haven't had any kids die in my game.
The only grave on this lot was the grave of an elderly mother who died of the flu.
They're just playing poker in my living room and eating all of my food.
how can i play TS2 on Win10 and not wait 10 minutes for it to boot up
If you have a lot of custom content, try reducing it. Also, reorganizing your downloads folder can help by making sure that you don’t have folders buried within folders buried within folders and so on, also helps to edit the file names of CC if they have symbols like ( ) ! { ] and spaces in them. Underscores _ and dashes - are okay though.
@@kore3919 tried even without CC...still same problem
@@wastintime8792 Do you have enough RAM, hard drive space? A good CPU? Dedicated graphics card? Do you have any programs running in the background that don’t need to be running while playing the game? TS2 has always been a game that can take a bit to load up, just depends on a lot of factors like CC and computer specs.

@@wastintime8792 Are you already using the "Graphics Rules Maker" to have your graphics card entered into the game's files? Ten minutes seems really long either way, but having the game recognise your graphics card will immensely help with other issues.
I'm still mad at my mom for deleting my game where I finally succeeded at sending the kids to private school. All because I was playing with lesbian moms.
_You can change topic?_ ... **What the fuck?** (Been playing since '07.)
Base game feature 😆 Yeah, you find out the most basic things many years later, that's The Sims 2 ❤️
my sister went to private school when my mom and step dad got married lol, cost 40k a YEAR. crazy. though, you dont have to invite a headmaster and suck up to them when you want to go to private school. I think for a good percentage of them you dont even have an application process. u just write a check and boom in ur in.
