A solution to that is applying a non scented lotion on chest, all around neck, and shoulders. 3 sprays shirtless 3 sprays with whatever you are putting on, try not to hit the same spots directly. It Adds 1:30-2hrs or more depending on skin type. We oily skin people are blessed 🤣
I have mandarine basilic in my collection and i absolutely love it. A bit feminine to my taste but i can live with that because it is such a happy uplifting and refreshing fragrance. I would also recommend the ginger one from the same collection

@@mattl7424 I get around 6-7 hours from it, within 2-3 hour mark, people can easily smell you especially indoors. After 3 hours, the scent is more subdued. Generally I would recommend to heavy overspray this, cause it's a light citric cologne. You won't offend anyone with this. Layering to boost the projection is also a good idea 👌

My wife bought me the afternoon swim and because it's the type of cologne you can spray liberally I spray it all over abundantly. Under my shirt and on my shirt. I get compliments almost very day, even when I can't smell it on myself anymore. I work 10 hour shifts and walk into different rehabs all day so I constantly go into new environments and people notice it. I own like 10 other expensive colognes and this is the only one I ever want to wear because it guarantees compliments.

I've been wearing Mandarine Basilic for years now. Apart from it's quite mediocre projection and longevity (but hey .... that way you get the pleasure to abundantly spray it all over ;) ) I find it to be a realistic mandarin, and an uncommon beautiful fresh but round mouthwatering fruity (but not sweet) fragrance, very uplifting and easy to wear, and in the end less simplistic than it looks by the name. Thank you for your useful revews :) ! as I know now I can get it cheaper than in Sephora and co I'll probably buy Mandarine Basilic again. I also have my eye (and nose) on the other summer fit eau de toilette "granada salvia", a more recent fruity launch in the Guerlain's aqua allegoria range. Please excuse my probable english mistakes. I have Orangea from Profumum Roma and 1/4 of Orange Sanguine from Atelier. I sampled six Atelier but not so sure about them, maybe Oolang Infini is good, I'd like something of light and sparkling for spring summer after shower.
I wish the aromatic note in Mandarin Basilic was something other than basil, but it does die down enough for it not to bother me. My favorite of what I’ve tried of the Aqua Allegorias so far is Bergamot Calabria. Teazzura might be a second but I need more time with it
Hey Sebastian, have you tried the guerlain forte version? It‘s more heavy on mandarin and less on basil than the original Mandarin Basilic version but it‘s a bit creamier and sweeter as well, yet remains fresh!
I have a sample of the Guerlain and really love it. I’m interested in trying the LV fragrance line but I’m having a hard time choosing which to buy. Thank you for the comparison video, think I’ll try one of the others since these two are similar.
Good luck buying Mandarine Basilic at those prices today. I am sure that Guerlain is not selling many of its scents in North America at this time; the resulting rarity is increasing prices as well as our rising inflation. Maybe also axed in Guerlain's recent house cleaning?
I like them both. The Afternoon Swim is my favorite of the two. It's so delicious and such an uplifting, juicy citrus. The only thing challenging to me is the cologne vibe after drydown. If it didn't have that it would be perfect for me. That doesn't deter me from loving it though. One of the best citruses I have come across.

I understand we all have different opinions and I guess different noses , but Guerlain Mandarine Basilic nd Afternoon Swim are like day and night ! They have nothing in common . Guerlain is straight mandarin , nothing like the sophisticated and complex Louis Vuitton .
I'm not fan of LV fragrances it's very pricy with poor quality they sell the name of the brand but GUERLAIN is a great house with a huge experience in this field.

Checked out their Oud line for e.x Ombre Nomade?! Its good quality stuff and stronk AF, one of the most potent fragrances Ive tried so far.
