When do I post?
I post every Saturday at 11:00am ET (8:00am PT, 9:00am MT, 10:00am CT) and if for some reason I'm not able to post at that exact time or day for a particular week, I'll make sure to let you know ahead of time on my Community Tab or Stories. Hi, Ava! Thoughts on the lip situation: I recently repainted the Basketball Barbie and she absolutely has to have teeth, because of her mold. I learned a valuable lesson though- don't paint the teeth all the way to the edges. Just a stripe in the middle is plenty, since real barbies actually don't have teeth all the way to the edges anyway. And if you add more white paint at the top edges of your white stripe it will look like she's smiling a bit more.

It is fun. My avatar is MiniME. I wanted to interact in the dolliverse without my face in the photos. Even ppl who don't do makeovers can just choose any doll to represent them. 😊
Lol true but It'd be hard for me as I'm short have a ton of freckles and am mixed race. (European, Chinese with a splash of native american)
@@dolliesminituresandcollect7663 Mine doesn't really look like me. I have freckles and moles. My hair isn't as thick and my skin is lighter. She's close enough tho. ☺ There are people that make custom miniMEs.

#ddsquad Your mini me looks so great! I need to make a new one because my doll's skin tone is very dark compared to me. I couldn't find a lighter brunette barbie and didn't have the rerooting tools. Also love the ponytail!
You can make a rerooting tool. Using wirecutter pliers, cut a needle eye on a slant. Need a needle with long but narrow eye.
Oh, first put the needle in a pencil eraser or an exacto knife tool b4 cutting. Google it. There might be better ways. My technique is over 15yrs old. 😊

Hey Ava, I’m such a big fan! Thoughts on the lip situation:
I don’t think u should paint it as it would look a bit weird. Also the dolls hair looks so pretty 😍 when r u going to do a face reveal? #ddsquad
If you paint in the teeth don’t have the white go all the way to the corners of the mouth or it will look weird, if you look at another Barbie that has teeth you can see that they keep it a relatively thin line that’s mostly concentrated in the middle. Maybe if you keep a Barbie with teeth next to you when you paint you can follow the reference
Here's a tip for painting over teeth. Use toothpick and fill in with a very tiny bit of modeling paste or matte medium. You can also let some mod podge or white glue set and get thick.
Slightly rub your index finger over the area until no more rubs off onto your finger. Let dry about 10min.
This area will be either the top or bottom lip(you choose). To be more realistic, I paint top lip slightly darker than the bottom. 😉 #ddsquad

Ava, Girl...I was wondering where you been???? You like your mini-me, hiding out!!! Your mini-me is looking beautiful with your "fixing her up". I had never seen anyone use tin foil to make curly hair. You have definitely taught me something. I liked her with out the smile/teeth and with the smile/teeth. Do not put in teeth. I did not know the top of the ear is called the helix? Her fingernails and toe nails turned out good. The outfit is cute. Keep the pony tail. You did really good on your mini-me.

You should put the whole head in a bag and then put it in the boiling water. It keeps the face in tact, doesn’t mess with hair you’ve already re-rooted and glued, and for dolls with the temporary tattoo trick you like it won’t mess that up either. It still gets warm, it just protects from the water.

It takes practice. I once cried because I just couldn't get the repaint thing. A doll buddy said just keep trying you'll get it. Literally the next day I had it. 😉
