I really don't see why people are getting so bent out of shape about this song. If a person requests and is granted permission by the original owner to use a melody or a song, like Sovereign did with the Cure, then they can do what they like with it, within reason. She pays them their dues, makes her own and comes up with this. It's not the worst song in the world, and it doesn't disgrace the Cure song in anyway. It's just a decent song in it's own right.

There's something deeper going on here than the sexual innuendo of her sexuality and the glances, (which was all I could see back when I was 15-18.) Much much deeper, and there is a deeper reason she is doing her music and I doubt it is for gender equality either. Something deeper. Only she knows what it is and honestly there is a mystique about it and a hidden quality to it in the subtlety. So many people are drawn in by the sexual glances but I don't think she is doing it for attention, for getting "many girls" or trying to turn people lesbian. I think there is a 'lucid signalling' quality to it. Maybe something to do with sovereign power? Something esoteric and occult. The entire concept of this song being about "being human" is an ironic play on the fact that she knows she is not but placed in this human experience. I was going to say something else but I forgot and will come back to edit this comment if I remember..
This song is terrible. The Cure (Close To Me) have ownership rights and all that and for anyone who tries to pass this off as post modernity (look it up) has clearly got something wrong with their head. This is blatant thievery and a disgrace to what current society calls 'Music'
