- How to make this CottonSoft Twisted Doughnuts. Chewy on the outside and soft in the inside.
Here's what you'll need:
1 cup warm water (250ml)
2 tsps instant yeast (6g)
1 egg
2 tbsps sugar (30g)
3 and ¼ cups all purpose flour (400g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
3 tbsps butter (45g) unsalted
3 cups oil for frying
granulated sugar for coating
PORTUGUESE:

I read 1 cup of water and thought it was a mistake, lol. Happy to see a recipe calling for water because I'm out of milk. Yesterday I made your garlic and parsley cream cheese filled buns (just didn't fill them with cream cheese). I used them as a vessel for chicken sandwiches. Yes, I fried those chicken tenderloins. 😬 Not bragging but that was a great tasting homemade chicken sandwich. 😋 For that recipe I was given the temp the oil needed to be. Can you please tell me what it should be for these donuts and how long we fry on ea side? These would be great as is but also with cinnamon sugar or a little bit of melted chocolate drizzled on top. Maybe toss some shredded coconut on top of the chocolate before it sets? 😋 Thanks Savor... 🙏

What is the timing for the rise 🤔
Depends on temperature where you are. Where I live, its currently winter so I put my dough in a large plastic container with a lid and sit it in a sink with hot water ( 2-3 inches up the side). Takes 45-60 minutes for me doing that. You just need to see when dough is double in size.

Whenever I've made doughnuts in the past, they always turned hard after half hour... These doughnuts were not only super delicious they didn't turn hard even after a few hours (until they were all eaten)! Awesome recipe 👍😃
