Some friends assisted me to put together this video comparing the Minelab SDC 2300 8” coil to the Coiltek 11” round Gold Extreme.
There was a coil test pad, set up over time hence the measurements in metric & inches, with targets buried at various depth that we used to test the coils. Both SDC 2300’s were set on Mode 4 with Threshold 5. No additional speakers or audio enhancers were used.
I think you will agree that the targets, when located, were of a higher, crisper sound with the Coiltek 11” in this comparison.

@@vandamned6979 On coin sized targets, I have found salt to be a little deeper.

Craig, I’ll see what I can do. Access to the test pad is not in my area at the moment. I know from experience, the GPZ found all targets. The 5c piece on its side was fairly faint. Thanks for compliment. 😀⛏⛏

Both coils and machine are specifically designed for gold, lead maybe but coins?

Not sure what you mean, nithn2do. Yes, coil and machine are designed for gold detecting… not coin or relic hunting. 😀⛏️⛏️

Terence, it’s simply a case of reviewing what equipment/products are available at the time. 😀

Wouldn't it be better to use gold....considering that is what I gather you are looking for.

If you left gold, in a public test pad where it was filmed, it wouldn’t last long 👀😎.

Test results indicate that if you want to find bigger nuggets buy a GPX or GPZ 🍺
