  • In the style of my favorite performance of it, Cyprien Katsaris'.
    Far from perfect, but if I gave into that qualm, I'd never post anything XD

    2 x Shure SM81 (5ft away, 10in apart, pointing away from the piano, ~100-deg angle between L/R)
    Scarlett 2i2
    Audacity: Notch filter at 174Hz, low-pass at 20KHz, compressor (piano preset), normalize to 0dB
    DaVinci resolve for merging A/V

    I think it's pretty good! But in the parts of the piece where you speed up like if someone was chasing you, I think you should slow a little bit the speed. Not because you're "not able to play it well", but because, for me, it sounds much better with a slower peace. Only an opinion!

      @@ElSarcasticoo Thanks for the feedback! It seems many performances speed that 'B' part up significantly, but I definitely might get a little over-zealous with that XD

      @@Ethan_Beauclaire Yeah lol, I've also seen so many performances like that.
      But, if you think in changing the way to play that, and if you haven't seen it yet, I recommend you to watch Kissin's performance as well, maybe you'll like it!
