- Eliud Kipchoge is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner. He is the 2016 and 2020 Olympic marathon champion, and holds the world record in the marathon. He is widely regarded as the greatest ever marathon runner and one of the greatest sportsmen in history.

No no ! Never. The greatest is by far Bekele. What he did ( 10 times world champion in cross country, world records in 5000 1000m etc… , 2h 01 mn in marathon…) , is impossible for Kipchoge to reach. It’s a lie to say that !
Bekele is the greatest runner of all time. Not Kipchoge. Just look What he achieved and then talk . A very big difference.
@@oussamachraibi1787 I mean that is definitely not a bad take but he isn’t my goat. I mean we are talking about the man who did what was thought to be impossible (sub 2 unofficial Marathon) and he is so good that when he loses it is shocking no matter who the competition is.

I started running late in my life. I could only run for 2 minutes until my heart and lungs give up. Then I ran my first 5k in 40 minutes, and I felt like a champ. Then my 5k dropped to 30 minutes. Now I'm training for my first 10k ✊🏼

Congrats man! I myself want to start running again after 12 years, I haven’t ran 5k since 2009.. 32 years old now so I hope I can get my condition back. This was inspiring

When he run under 2 hours, the western media said he had an edge with the shoes, but since the shoes hit the stores, no one has attempted to run a marathon in under 2 hours. Eliud Kipchoge is simply the best marathon runner of all times. ❤

I went on a 9 mile run and towards the end found myself running into a headwind. As I felt my form get sloppy I thought of Kipchoge and picked up my form. I still looked like an overweight mid 30s father but I tried to channel my inner Kipchoge 😂😅

Dude runs at an average of 25-30km /hr speed nonstop 😮 A beast , A machine!
not to say it's slow, but over his sub 2 he around 21-22 km/hr, still fucked but 30km/hr is pretty much impossible. the fastest 1k ever was about 28km/hr

Kipchoge's running pace is impossible for the average man to maintain for even 5 minutes - I cannot imagine how much he must have trained, and the incredible feats his body is capable of.

He ran under 2hrs but It was a science project involving top runners in a designed controlled set up .
Impressive, and he broke that mental ceiling, but I agree, he needs to try to achieve it now in the normal sub optimal conditions of a marathon.
My dad ran 2:26 at Boston. Thats like 530 a mile or so. Thats fast. To think he ran a full minute faster per mile for his time is crazy. He might be an alien
