Inverted full back is the biggest thing that happened in the game in last years, and this retro here actually shows us how the defensive side of things has evolved in the past few years, also, Klopp with his pressing and Pep with his tactical tweeks and trends have embodied these changes in the modern game

I think not, because he said a long while ago that a good counter-press is the best #10 a team can have. Relying on collective chance creation rather than individual creativity, that is. His Dortmund team was conspicuous for the absence of such profiles, Götze or Kagawa were not employed in such a role even they theoretically could fit the bill.

Wenger won when the league was drinking before and after games and forced his players to take their job seriously. And he never took his English club to win anything in Europe. Nope. It was obsessive possession by Pep. Gegenpressing was counteract, reply to “we don’t give u the ball”. 10 has been dying since early 00s. Change of modern game (more pace, more intensity, different tactics) killed 10 before arrival of Klopp. Also increasing financial gap between top elite clubs and the rest contributed to killing of 10 as most clubs couldn’t afford creative playmakers so they had to find new ways to stay competitive.
