Hi Dave, nice bike I think they're great bikes, especially in those colours! I was very impressed with the low chassis shift cam version I rode. If my pockets were deep enough and I could live with the repair bills when the suspension eventually fails and other things that may end up costing a fortune, I would have one in a heartbeat as the ride and look so amazing! 👍
I bought one this year the rally for two up touring for me and the wife. Never had a BMW before always toured on my GSX 1400 which she is now 17 years old which I could never part with. And even the wife said I could not sell her. The BMW is a brilliant bike for us we love it. Practically a unicorn bike (Option 719, Clearwater lights, sound bomb, black OEM cases, heated seats, all modes, Puig touring windshield with stabilizing kit, fender extenders, Alt Rider pivot foot pegs, etc.). The issue? Bike values in the USA. The market is very soft. The 2016 is worth $9.5k on trade in. The 40th Anniversary edition will cost me $16.9k. The only therapeutic intervention is…well…GSAirTherapy, with a new (to me) “therapist“.
I fitted the vario to my screen which allows it to be in the lowest position without any buffeting! The only downside to the GSA is the 30litre fuel tank which some say makes it top heavy, never felt it on mine. Keeping my 3 year old Adventure for another year at least as there is nothing out there I like. Looking forward to seeing you enjoying the new bike😂. Be well and ride safe and love to all the family, Trev
Had a very similar idea with my 1200 last month got 200 yards down the road and realised I was making a mistake. The 1200 as been and still is utterly brilliant..so did I save myself few grand? Hell no bought a triumph speed 400 to keep the GS company 😂

Last Saturday we visited the Triumph showroom and came away with a brand new Final Edition Thruxton!! I thought F’it, life’s short! My wife and I are both BMW riders, I have the 1250 GS in Triple Black and agree it just an amazing bike.
Hello Dave. How is the new bike treating you?😂😂😂 I know you bought the bike😂. Just kidding. But what I will tell you is don’t buy the AT you will regret it not because it’s a bad bike but because it would not be what you love. My two cents. Take it for what it’s worth coming from a 1250 GSA owner. Good luck with the decision and looking forward to seeing the bike on the channel
Just do it Dave, life is way too short. I have a 2021 1250GS, it's a great bike. However, I recently decided to test ride a new Honda Goldwing, just to get it out of my system because I knew I wouldn't like it. I pick up the GW on Wednesday, sadly the GS is going. But my decision making included, like others have said, I don't know how long I've got left. I could always buy another GS if the GW doesn't work out; it's only money.
Lovely bike Dave but you did spend the ride down explaining that your 1200 GS (which is a fair bit lighter) felt top heavy on your way to ABR. getting a taller heavier bike feels a bit counter intuitive. I was fully loaded at abr on my 1200 and must admit I felt a bit the same. I think I might be more tempted with a standard 1250? Whichever I love your enthusiasm so keep em coming!
Yeah it was only top heavy because of all the tent stuff and kitchen sink I took with me. The GSA again doesn’t actually feel its weight because of the low down boxer.
Dave, I had the same model. Check those cylinder heads for corrosion. It’s a common problem, I had a completely new engine block and heads done under warranty. The bike only had 12,000 miles, full BMW service history, ACF 50 applied during the winter months and it was a fight to get BMW UK to carry out the repairs. However, they would not do the exhaust headers or the swing arm which were also corroded. Have you noticed the 1300’s have a new engine finish now, that’s probably the reason why. Anyway that bike was stolen not long after, I now have a Tiger 900 RP fit and finish better than BMW’s. The Tiger was fantastic over the Priests Leap and on the amazing L roads you have over there in Ireland.
I had the same on my 18 month old GS. New engine cases but the engine wasnt right afer the work, they sorted after the 3rd visit but i had concerns the engine may have been comprimised so chopped it in..........................bought a GSA, mad maybe but for me there was nothing that came close.

Its not uncommon for people in the states to buy a GS or GSA with more than 100,000 miles on them. As long as it has a long service history with a dealer. I think your GS has many more years of riding enjoyment. But it dont hurt to upgrade

The only thing which concerns me is how much the Stelvio might drop in value as Guzzi have just said they’re bringing the same model out next year with electronic suspension.
Well the new model will probably be around 3 grants more on the market like the mandello.I would say less electronic is always better, less potential bugs, beside if keeping the bike long term then not so much of an issue. All the on your riding and perhaps will cross each other on the road I'm in Roscommon. .@WheelieGoodTV

Absolutely stunning machine, beautiful colour scheme. It be a no brainer for me. How was the seat comfort, normally a selling point for you’re good self
Hi Dave, I'm thinking about trading my 1200 in for a 1250. I bought some gold wheels for the 1200, which do fit the 1250 as well. You can get the 1250 GS for a reasonable price now. I've just ordered a chigee with your discount code 👍 justing waiting for delivery. I like my gadgets, boys and there toy's 😂.
My inside leg is 29.5” yet a GS etc are way too high for me. You must have extendable legs or high heels! 😂 Second question , what’s the issue with your existing GS? 😂
🤣🤣 No issue with my GS apart from the fact I want a GSA. 🤯 I really love my GS so I’m not too bothered if it doesn’t sell. I just thought this GSA was absolute perfection 👌
My 2c worth Dave,i wouldn't buy anything from Joe Duffy. Also what they offered you for your gs would be enough to put me off them! Christy is ccs would source the bike you're after and give you a good trade in price for yours if you had a chat with him id say👍

Too tall and too heavy, preferred the standard but moved to Ducati, if I went back to BMW I’d buy the RS. I found the GSA boring and why do you need a 30L tank in Europe?
Don’t buy it, Dave. Save your pennies and buy the 1300 in a couple years when the new ones have been traded in and your future self will thank your present self.
Remember how BMW wanted to rip you off when you had your suspension problems. Surely you do not want to give them more money. You loved the Stelvio. Try and get one of them and be an individual and not part of the herd.

@@thepeakybiker I think you have the same colour too?
@@WheelieGoodTV yea mate amazing bike honestly
Great video mukka keep it up see ya soon
Great accountant story............. lol
🤣😉
The problem with using it in Min suspension is it rides like a Bouncy castle!
Try a KTM 1290 Adventure. Bruce is going that way, but may be an option.
When I went to look at the GS I said to my misses I am not buying just looking I rang her back one hour later and asked can you come and pick me up in the car, they wanted my trade in straight away and I had to wait for the new one
Swore I seen one of then in ccs today
Absolutely stunning machine, beautiful colour scheme. It be a no brainer for me. How was the seat comfort, normally a selling point for you’re good self
@@TheGrandTourer24 the seat was the most comfortable I’ve ever sat on. Love the bike but my GS hasn’t sold yet. 🤯🤯
The last of the 1250 bikes... probably the 'de facto' gsa. And it doesn't look a t-rd like the new one.
About to test ride one of the current crop of run out models tomorrow, should my bank account be worried?
@@moonrakercbr1649 oh yes! 🤣👌
@@paullee3727 nice! Enjoy the CHIGEE mate, it’s bloody brilliant!!
Just trade the black in for this one.
A small problem is that the dealership only offered my 8 grand for mine.
I’m in the same dilemma got a 1200 low had it two years 18 plate
Do I go for a 1250 😮
I’m definitely trading but my dilemma is 1250 GSA or GS??
Just buy it, you only live once, 😁, Ps, what's the jacket you're wearing ?
😉👌 The jacket is a Merlin but I forget the model?🤯
My inside leg is 29.5” yet a GS etc are way too high for me. You must have extendable legs or high heels! 😂
Second question , what’s the issue with your existing GS?
I know this makes sense. 👌💪
Recon they just sold you your dream
As a lady who watches your Videos, I really do not need to know what you are looking at on the beach. Don't be sexist.
Other than that I enjoy your videos.
Just daft lads banter, sorry if I offended you. 🙏
You must 😂
Feck it Dave.
Buy it.
Dont they have a low saddle option for that also? I've the same leg length.
Weirdly the seat height is fine in this. I must have grown??🤔
@@WheelieGoodTV 😃 Gives me hope that I won't topple over at junctions off a GS1250.
GSA is just the dogs bollocks.
I know 😉
Life’s short…if you can afford it go for it
Too tall and too heavy, preferred the standard but moved to Ducati, if I went back to BMW I’d buy the RS. I found the GSA boring and why do you need a 30L tank in Europe?
Aaaahhh you’re crushing my dreams Ian!!🤯🤯🤯 I know what you’re saying though….but I still want one!🤣
Don’t buy it, Dave. Save your pennies and buy the 1300 in a couple years when the new ones have been traded in and your future self will thank your present self.
Gs-911 WiFi is compulsory purchase for these, don’t ask me how I know this🤨
@@julianmorris9951 I shall research this Julian.🤔
Remember how BMW wanted to rip you off when you had your suspension problems. Surely you do not want to give them more money. You loved the Stelvio. Try and get one of them and be an individual and not part of the herd.
@@peterdane9138 wise words I know, but I love this GSA even more than the Stelvio…….this week!🤔🤯
@@WheelieGoodTV what will you love next week? 😂
That’s a lot of moulah for what is a five year old bike with probably 6 months warranty. Stelvio is not much more brand new….
@@Nordkapp65 yeah I know, decisions, decisions, decisions…🤯
