Arguably, Stryper has reached more people than many of those famous, hypocritical ministers who spoke out against them. Those ministers just sat in their house of worship and expected people to come to them. Stryper took the lords message to places and people who may never hear it otherwise. The lord said himself that the healthy people don’t need a doctor. Throwing bibles at the crowd, unashamed in who they are and what they sing about...not to mention they have incredible playing skills. Stryper is metal as it gets
All those other hair bands are gone or they are touring singing the same old 80s songs. Stryper just put out their best album to date called "Fallen". Go check it out!
A testimony in glam metal format. God always wins. He is the foundation! Bad Brains are Christian too--Hardcore Punk Rock band and dedicated to serving God.
Oh, you mean Mr. In and out? He was in and out of Stryper 4 times in a 31 year span! Perry Richardson is the perfect fit for Stryper, not only at Bass Guitar, but at backing vocals.
I've noticed a common theme among a lot of evangelicals. There's this constant roller coaster. Ex, I got saved, but then I got into drugs. Then I quit the drugs and re-dedicated my life to Christ (because I didn't get it right the first time). Then I got into Calvinism or Lordship Salvation. Then 2 years later I realized those doctrines were demonic. So I had to repent and start over. Etc etc. and on and on it goes. No stability. Just constant drama.
you know, I wonder watching this now, what was going through Tim Gaines' mind in these interviews because he was a raging drunk for years and hid it from everyone. Except the band, or maybe not. I am no Christian, but I did like the music, and I am a recovering heroin addict and it was a bitch having to hide it from everyone. But being a public icon for Christianity and having to keep this image of goodness and of being a person with a really high morale compass had to be a bitch. It would easily explain why he had to find a way to cope, and unfortunately he became an addict. I hope he figured out what he needed to in order to get clean, and I wish him the best.
Tim is the type of guy who was not intimate with God. He has always been very apathetic to Christianity. Well, without much reference to a Christian life!
The BBQ Jerk ....sorry that happened to you. I've met these guys any times and they are always very kind to me and those around me. I could tell that Timothy was completely disinterested in meeting anyone and almost had a grudge against his own fans. He was under conviction.
Rodelberth Aceves You misunderstood, Michael said we are not a Christian band. We are a METAL band who are Christians. And so it plays out in the music.
As a stryper fan and knowing old school Christians ....they did more for the youth. They helped me. 777
Great to hear some of Tim's story in this interview.

Weird to see Tim doing so much talking.
G Star Tim is an awesome dude, just finding out his father was a Christian pastor!
Wondering if it has to do with Michael not being there.
Amen and amen
It’s a shame that Stryper and a lot of us Christian rock bands were attacked from the church and also from secular radio Industry😎Rich Secrist

Everyone wanted to interview Stryper back then.
Need Tim back in the band , all original is the way to go !!

I disagree. Perry adds so much to the band and Tim was detracting from the band’s message ( from what I understand).
@@ronaldshank7589especially during the first four albums
Jimmy swaggart had a problem with it lol!!! You shall know them by their fruit, not. Their suit and tie.
no stryper without Tim Gaines
Not so. Tim was awesome, but I'm also enjoying Perry and the solid head songs on the last few albums. Godspeed bro.
Tim: “I know Jesus Christ will last forever in my life” over 30 years later he’s a pastor ❤
Tim Gaines? How do you know?
