Baba Fafowora is a legend. Truly, Agba Yoruba, living a peaceful life, still consistent and very constant. God bless the rest of your day, sir.

Thank you for this interview. . This is one of unsung heroes of the music industry. The songwriters of those era were underpaid, unrecognized and unrewarded. It is such a shame they didn't get their rewards for their talents and hard work.

Politics in Nigeria destroyed many things and posterity will judge the corrupt politicians that brought Nigeria to this low level with no development.I weep for Nigeria that never recognised these musicians and people that offer Nigeria nothing are enjoying with our common wealth.

That man still had a lot up his sleeves. If you had allowed him, he would have talked more and more for hours (I think). Please, next time, allow these Oldies and Legends express themselves the way they like. Of course, you can still structure the program. You can segment it and offer breaks in-between.
See, your program might be the only medium they have to express and pour out everything they have got to say about life, culture, music, politics and whatnots.
Thank you so much for this interview and the previous ones. You're really doing a great job. Kudos to you.

Great interview that evoked nostalgia. Thanks to Pa Akinlolu Fafowora for delving into history and for his frankness regarding the origin of WAZOBIA. I had always thought that 'Aiso Aba' was composed by Osofisan until now, so much to thank Pa Fafowora for. I remember the great C A Baba with his wisecracks and stage theatrics, he was from Egosi Ekiti that together with Eseta forms what is known as Ilupeju Ekiti today. KSA borrowed a lot from him in terms of stage performance and songs. His album 'Oro T'onlo' had tracks like Aso Ala, Talomi sere that were influenced by C A Balogun"s works, there was also 'Nibo Lolo, nibo lore' in another KSA"s album that was vintage C A Baba. I also remember Fajuke's record store which was our evening rendezvous for listening to latest records. Fajuke baba Kofoworola, may his soul rest in peace. I also recall that by the mid 50s, the taxi rank was in the field opposite the town hall, kids used to fall over themselves to be sent to fetch the taxi for the elders as they would enjoy the ride.

Whaoo. Your comment is full of content on its own sir. E ku aigbagbe. Unfortunately, not much of C.A. Balogun's records are still available. I have just one track. I heard he recorded many. KSA confirmed he was greatly influenced by C.A Balogun and I.K Dairo.
Dele Abiodun borrowed Ko soro lati fe yawo, eyi to soro ju lowo obe.. which was a popular song by C.A. Balogun.
I'll like to speak with you privately sir if eventually you read my comment.

This baba was saved from himself by not pursuing a career in music. The decadence would have consumed him. That is the beauty of having a solid family background.
