I’m pretty sure the link up with preemo came via leaf dog who’s the first guy on the track. He’s a mad producer and has produced tracks for a lot of east coast heads, including a few wu tang tracks. I think he done a few songs on the inspektah deck album but don’t quote me on that. But yeah he’s a sick producer and has a few old school connects out there who linked them
Yo so this video is a bit old but I do know how this collab came about so I'll comment. The four owls came about largely from a collection of artists doing gigs in and around bristol. In 2015 I went to a gig headlined by DJ Premier and KRS one with Rag n Bone man and the four owls as (relatively unknown support acts). On the back of that gig KRS one released a couple of records with the group and established a connection with Premier. Hence the Bristol-NY connection.
Your comments on wanting to hear other tracks of there's is fair, it's hard not to come off a good track with a Preemo production. I would recommend listening to "Control" it's off the same album and in my opinion their best track.

I get you're trying to critique the track but to say it would be better switching from the uk to new york is small minded man. British hip hop has it's own identity and even though it's one of the greatest american producer laying down the beats it still has that british mentality. DJ Premier did the track as he was a big fan of leaf dog and what he was doing for hip hop and he said some of the freshest shit was coming out of the UK. Thats why he agreed to produce for them. Lots of reaction videos from USA listening to Four Owls and Ocean Wisdom can't believe what they're hearing. UK is producing some of the greatest hip hop to come out of the last ten years. MF DOOM spoke about this. FLIPTRIX of the four owls and top dog of High Focus Records has pioneered and supported some of the finest hip hop acts that blow most of the commercial shit out the water. Check out "The Mouse Outfit" and "Cult of the Damned" for reference. If You want some recommendations message me. Why do you think Method Man is on tracks with Ocean Wisdom and Sway is raving about Dizzee Rascal?

Simple videos is a very UK thing yeah primo produced it I don't think you can make it sound not like a primo track primo is a very distinctive producer.

owl member Leaf Dog produced the first album Promo heard them while on tour in UK they became friends. PROMO produced all their other albums.
