Thanks for sharing this footage. It has been rarely used in other documentaries of the Buffalo Soldiers in Italy.

This is the Buffalo Division? The Italian front was a cultural mosaic. There were Americans, British, South Africans, Indians, buffalo division of black Americans, and the Brazilian Expeditionary Force. The Brazilian troops was the only ethnically integrated. The Brazilian contingent was very diverse, reflecting the miscegenation of Brazilian society. There were descendants of Germans, Italians, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, blacks, Indians, etc ...

In total the FEB was composed of a division with 25,000 men.
Great video. That everyone has the strength to fight for a world without prejudice. :)

The 92nd division was no different than any of the other multi-national contingents that fought in the British 8th Army or the American 5th Army.
    They won.
    They lost.
    And sometimes lost big.
At various times the soldiers of every contingent were smashed by the Germans the 92nd's turn came on 12/26/1944...it was their turn to be driven off and they were.

Sad part is that the Black Troops in WWII did not understand that they would be judged
by their actions and they were not so hot in combat because they didn't understand that
    their time had come.

Ronald C. Uehara STFU!!! LIES!!! MY Grandfather , 11 great uncles and 47 cousins served WWII and they Totally understood everything that was conveyed due to the fact my grandpa and countless other relatives were college educated. However, if not they (generally speaking) were just as good or better than anyone who served. Most importantly, they were all proud to be part of military and each of them made it home to their wives and children. Black soldiers have fought wars in this country since the REVELATION WAR even though to this day we are, for the most part treated like shit evidence by your ignorant comment too. SIT DOWN

Ronald the Italian army was one of the worse armies in the war but still kicked the 92nd Buffalo Soldiers ass in Dec. 26 1944.

But the 92nd also fought against Germans....Not a 2nd rate force by any means.

@@cplduce They faced a DeciMas marine battalion according to one marine veteran interviewed on the channel he said they made contact with 92nd inf and during the firefight many of these troops buckled, RSI anti armour gunners supplied by German forces took out two Sherman's and forced the entire unit to retreat... RSI marines where stunned to the fact they were out numbered out gunned and with limited weak supply lines. Another U.S regiment that was lateral arrived later and drove RSI forces further north.

Rock no source need just do a quick research. It’s true. Blacks never gained any respect or any type of benefit from serving in the war.
