Moved my neff dishwasher and it came up with this error code. Followed your video, sir I owe you a massive thank you. Water had gotten into the tray as described and raised the polystyrene disc. Saved myself a small fortune, and learned new skills. Thank you.

What a star! Best video I've seen all year. So clear I was able to fix my dishwasher! I don't know what caused the leak, but by mopping up the water under the machine to unfloat the disk, the error disappeared and the machine is working again. Everything he showed was exactly what I saw - he could have been in my kitchen! Thank you. First rate.

Thank you! Your video helped me fix my bosch/siemens. Only a couple of tablespoons water in the bottom. Cleaned up and checking for leaks after a couple of washes. SO satisfying to do that with no experience. Especially to see the machine actually looked exactly like yours:) Cheers from Denmark

Thank you. You saved me from buying a new machine. I wiped the tray dry and also tightened the four screws inside the dishwasher (the ones who is holding the pump against the bottom) Be careful as they are only screwed in the plastic.

The combined views of this video and the original one (that I did just because my own dishwasher broke) totals almost 1M. So hopefully that equals a lot of money saved and a lot less going to landfill

Thank you for the excellent directions. Yours was the only one that was very clear about which six screws needed to be taken out to get the cover off. Based on your instructions and watching the dishwasher cycle, I was able to identify and repair the leak.

Hi! I am very grateful because of the video what you have recorded to us. It helped a lot after our dishwasher show the E15 code. We tried to leave the dishwasher tablets which you can buy in any shops to change bio, sulfate free products but it generated a lot of foam which came out and goes into the bottom of the machine. Now it is working perfectly and we changed back to the original tablets. We are going to save the world in an another way. :)
    Thanks again! Cheers.

Great Instructions thank you for the video. Just one point in some dishwashers (Bosch Canada) the styrofoam disc may have a larger center boss on it. Which doesn't show on your video. However people have to remember the flat part of the disc goes down to the reservoir cup. Switch sits on the large boss. It all fits greatly. Great instructions Matey (Not sure if Canadians like to just complicate things) Cheers :-)

Thanks, my dishwasher is working again. Two things I'd love to get some clarification on. First, there was water in my salt compartment. Is that a problem? Second, I had an integrated front, so the screws I had to remove weren't the same as the ones you removed. An opportunity for a follow-up video.
But thanks to this video I now have a working dishwasher that I fixed myself.

So, that's great! Presumably, then, water should never enter this bottom part of the dishwasher, correct? I have a new one that is throwing the error code, so investigated as you suggested (actually managed to get a strange wrench I have to remove those two screws without having to remove the front panel), and that eps float is indeed surrounded by water! As it's under warranty, guess I'll have to ask for a repairman to turn up...
Thanks a lot for your very clear, concise video!

If it happens again, best bet is to remove the bottom cover and run a cycle to see if you can spot where it's coming from.

Check the rotor arms for splits at the side, if they are split, it will chuck water into the lower base.

FYI Bosch sells a "repair kit" (actually a "deficient seal design augmentation kit") for about $20.00. The intention is to improve the sealing of the main sump to the bottom pan of the main dishwasher (those 4 screws you see when you look at the bottom from inside the dish area). Naturally you should confirm that this is the actual cause for you, first. Apparently their engineers are confirmed idiots, but instead of taking responsibility and doing a proper recall they just sell a "work-around" to the suckers who bought their dishwashers (like me) and then quietly changed the design on newer units.
Anyway, you can buy their kit from a variety of online sources, including this one:
    www.bosch-home.com/us/store/accessories/12005744
Also, here is a how-to video (in German - just turn on subtitles in English or whatever you need first):

I just did this, but I ran into a problem getting the dishwasher out of the kitchen cabinets. I have sheet vinyl flooring that runs part-way into the dishwasher cavity. When I tried to pull the dishwasher out, the back center support “foot” got caught on the edge of the vinyl and trapped the dishwasher. I was very unhappy about this.
I lifted up the front lower frame from the floor so I could look underneath the dishwasher. I had someone help tip the washer forward, and I slipped a yard (meter) stick under the washer such that the rear foot rested on the ruler, and the ruler held the vinyl flooring edge down. I was then able to slide the dishwasher all the way out with the rear foot riding on the ruler.

It would have been nice for you to describe an actual problem. In my case, water comes down the rectangular tube that connects the bottom of the dishwasher door and discharges to the reservoir where the styrofoam float sits. The rectangular tube is at the center of the front behind that sharp plate and the sound deadening material at about 6:04 in the video.

Thank you so much for your great video. There was a little water accumulation around the styrofoam disk. I couldn’t figure out how to get the part out and I was afraid I’d break it so I used a towel. I ran an express cycle and hooray it worked. The big problem I had was reassembling the door because the 2 plastic clips fell out so I had no idea where they came from. It took me a long time but I finally figured it out. I hope I can reassemble the door panel without too much trouble 🤞

Fantastic video @Sawickipedia. I watched with my 13 year old son who was able to correct the flooded sensor area. My Bosch has the integrated door which required the removal of 12 Torx screws. Once removed, we dried under the styrofoam disk with paper towels and reassembled. Unit works perfectly thanks to the advice from the wonderful bearded man in the video! Happy New Year!

Great vid. Thanks from Canada. I just fixed an E 23 a few days ago, so when E15 popped up just now. Ugh. I love Bosch but this is my second one at this house. First one did not last very long, big leak in a faulty inlet control ruined just finished basement ceiling. Anyway, I am hoping it was the standing water, and jiggling that fixed the E23 that caused the small amount of water in the base that caused the E15. Dried it all up, blew a fan for a bit, then replaced styro float and now fingers crossed. I did a rinse cycle just now, and no visible drips. Doing a full wash cycle curently. Thanks again.

Nice to have such clear footage.
In my case the leakage came from the dish salt bowl.
It was leaking past it's neck.
Solved it by applying ship's windows glue.
You just have to remove a large plastic swivel which you can see after taking off the filler cap.
Then tuck in some glue all around the neck.
Put the swivel back on and leave it to dry a while.

Very helpful video, thank you. Bosch 500 has a bunch of wires connected to the outer panel. It was awkward but I was able to remove the lower panel and dry the float without removing these wires.
Also the Bosch 500 had about a dozen t20 torx screws holding the panel on. I didn't realize until the end that there were two different lengths. I guessed that the longer ones were at the top of the panel and so far so good.

Thanks for the video! Managed to clear the water from the trough, and we're good to go.
I had this problem come up after running a washing cycle with too much detergent. I read somewhere that using too much detergent can create more suds that the machine can handle, and that will end up leaking through to places where they shouldn't. So make sure you read detergent/soap packaging, and put in the right amounts.

@@Sawickipedia have you seen leakage along right side of washer, where stainless meets plastic base. Upon removing side panel i found the base has bowed outwards, causing the seal to leak water over electric control panel. Will try to dry it out and seal with silastic inside and out (maybe a couple of screws might help). Will take photos before and after.

Very helpful instructions. I was nervous about removing the front panel because my handle and top look slightly different; and it wasn't obvious what woujld happen if I removed those screws. (Although the six screws are there just as you showed.) Honestly, it was very easy to simply pull the dishwasher out from its enclosure and see everything from the exposed side of the unit. I could see all of the hoses and wires you showed in the video. And, it was not much trouble to remove that styrofoam disk, dry out the area and put it all back together again. I have no idea if that water built up over two years or two days. But the unit is running as I type this.... thanks again.

This worked like a charm. Thank you so much! Excellent description. Step by step, very clearly laid out. The only difference is that we have a newer model Bosch that had wires connected to the outside panel, so I would advise caution when pulling the panel away just in case. Those needed to be carefully disconnected. Also, we couldn’t run a test cycle until the panel was reinstalled. Other than that the directions were spot on. Just saved us hundreds of dollars!!

Thank you! This was a huge help. My mother's dishwasher wasn't working and she didn't know what the error code meant. I found your video and we were able to clean out the mess that was clogging up the dishwasher.

Hi, great video. Saved me getting a call out guy, even if I could during lockdown.
Found a little water in the tray, which looked as it it had accumulated over time. Interested to see how long the fix lasts or if the leak worsens.
    Thanks a lot from Ireland.

Thanks mate. The “Made in Germany” model is a little different but if you own a free standing model without the kick board you will need to tilt the machine back about 45º to effectively get the lower panel off. The height adjustable feet may prevent the lower panel coming off. I unscrewed the feet and the panel was more easily removed. I dried and cleaned the water sensor polystyrene disc and tray but still get the E15 error code. I think the inlet valve might be the next item to look at as water immediately filled the float valve tray when the water tap was turned back on (judging by how the pump kicked in immediately upon restoring power).

Hi! Is there any reason why a brand new dishwasher would have this error code? We literally used it twice. Help please!!

For someone who describes DIY as Destroy it Yourself, it's real credit to you that I could do this. Thanks so much. This saved me a few bob and earned me lot of confidence.

Brillant ! Thanks from France. I found water indeed, the switch must have been "depressed" ;-) On my Bosch dishwasher, the last 2 screws (5:20 of the video) can be accessed and unscrewed without unscrewing the 6 screws of the front panel.

Got a Bosch that first coded E07. Changed dryer fan. Worked a few days and now coding E15. How are the these related or are they related?
