  • Well, this one has been a long time coming... My Blooper had a very long 'lock down affected' journey to reach me, but now that we've spent some time together it's time for Bloop Session: Vol.1 - Features & the Basics. I'll plan to dive into some of the more in depth stuff at a later date when I feel I've discovered some really noteworthy stuff that I haven't yet seen being shared. many thanks to Joel, Scott, Mark and everyone else who worked tirelessly for months to bring us this looping gem, and thank you very much to you for watching, please enjoy responsibly!

    Very useful & practical techniques.... I like the dip switch stuff... makes way more sense seeing this video. Can't wait for the next one.

    What is great here for me in addition to the great music bits and licks, is the really nice timing when overdubbing and the lovely compositional choices. I am totally getting into mine. Got it a few days ago and it has possessed my very soul😂 It is that good...This by far the most musical and thorough demo of this I have seen. Really amazing work! Thank you...

    MY Blooper is in the mail, and I'm incredibly excited. It's going to replace my RC-1, which is at the end of my board right after ym D1 and Slo :) That section made me happy. Thanks for the great video!

    One of the most inspiring videos about the Blooper! More please ;) Any thoughts about the Mood in comparison? Thanks

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a heap, really appreciate it. It’s not really something you can compare, it’s like comparing chorus to reverb. They’re pretty different. I have a MOOD demo further back on my channel and Stefan of ‘the pedal zone’ did a great MOOD one just this week too.

    • @Efimer
      @Efimer 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ponderersounds3172 I understand, it's just that some of the modifiers can sound similar sometimes (trimmer can sound granular too) and I have my doubts. I already saw your video about Mood, I'll check the other one while I wait for your part 2 ;) Thanks!

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cheers bud, you’re right there are a few sounds that can be similar but I think the main difference that really does set them on different plains is the actual way you as the player interact with them. MOOD isn’t technically random but is definitely something that influences what you play as you have to collaborate with it even if you have a pretty good idea of what sound it’s going to throw back at you, it only gives you fragments to work with and you need to build the music around it. Blooper, even if you approach it arbitrarily and asynchronously, is rooted in having a foundation that is predictable and retrievable if things go astray, and can support a much larger portion of music or infact the entire backbone of a song.

    • @Efimer

      @@ponderersounds3172 Great explanation. I like the immediacy of the Mood but the possibility to recall full loops or some of the layers will work better for me I think. For more immediacy, I suppose blooper should be used as a delay with the mods on to get a similar effect. Thanks again!

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks man! This is an ampless tone actually, Bondi Breakers set clean > Blooper > Cabzeus. And the Walrus stuff added for the ambient stuff.

    Hello, please tell me. I had a power outage and after that my Blooper started not working properly. At first it did not pass the signal, but after that it got better, but the Stability knob when turned on i.e. Turning to the right when recording a loop or overlay mode began to produce noise, the hissing disappears when you turn off this function and turn to the left. What could it be? Help me please.

      It’s a hefty cost, I get a lot sent to me for free but this is one of the pedals I’ve bought out right of recent times and I don’t regret the investment.

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There’s definitely noise added into stability intentionally. You probably just can’t hear it very much on mine because there’s audio running the whole time too.
