Su Qing Un One of the most interesting things I’ve learned about them is how amazing their ability to reason things out, and to solve problems. The narrator of the clip I’m posting here says the wild orangutan in it “found” a carpenter’s saw, and rather quickly figured out what it is for. Honestly, I don’t know whether or not the film crew left it laying around for her to “find,” or if, after she found it, one of them used one like it in plain view of her to saw through a branch or something, but either way it was quite a revelation to me. Take a look:

      They're really smart animals.
There's another video where they use stones like a hammer to crack nuts.

Just for your information, the commentator should not refer the animals as "orang" because it means "human or man". "Orang utan" literally means "Jungle/Forest man." It is abbreviated from hutan - jungle/forest. So the commentator should have said the entire word "orang utan."
This is not meant to be a criticism.

Tony Lau true ... it’s as bad as them mispronouncing it as orangu-tang 😂. That’s always made me cringe.

you guys feel good about watching them and you say that they are beautiful but you are killing them by buying products such as nutella. Don't buy products with palm oil in as much as you can, there are better alternatives to it.

They move so slowly 😂... also , they remind me of spiders with 4 legs ... or hands ,,. Their feet look like stretched out hands lol 😂. They’re so cool though ! They just really do look like big round balls of hair with spider legs though. Wonder why their stomachs are always so big and round. Guess they don’t
Really exercise that area .. their upper arms are definitely strong. They just look weird lol. At least they don’t have that huge cranial / brow ridge like every monkey and every other ape has. But ooh lord , they’re cute in the ugliest way 😂

SÓ HISTÓRIA TRISTE they’re apes ... not monkeys .. and yeah ok. They’re “
So smart “? Haha ... sure they can do certain things requiring cognitive function but everyone that’s so easily appeased and amused just throws out the term smart for just about anything that remotely has the brain level of a 2 year old.
