Shawn Johnston I worked with animals for a while and it’s great! But sometimes they don’t pull through and it’s heartbreaking when they die. So if you do work with animals just be ready for the one that won’t make it.
I love seeing Fionas biography! So much work, dedication and love for this beautiful little hippo. It really took a village to raise this baby. And what an opportunity for us humans to learn from her. Also an honor for the rest of us mortals to be able to see all this film of this incredible creature ❤️. Love Fiona!
I was thinking the same thing, you can see how dedicated they are to her, they really worked hard to help Fiona thrive. You can see how passionate they are about their jobs and about Fionas welfare, its a wonderful thing

Why would anyone give this video a thumbs down? I am not a huge fan of zoos but they are helping to save some animals from certain death and even extinction in some cases. Yes there are zoos throughout the world that should be shut down but Cincinnati isn't one of them. They put in so much dedication to saving any animal they can. Man has made a mess of the animal kingdom from over hunting, poaching, illegitimate sales, deforestation...I could go on and on so it is up to man to help these animals come back and that is what this zoo is doing. I love Cincinnati Zoo. Great job and great people saving animals. Ty ty ty!

I have been watching her videos since the birth. Though it is thousands of miles away and I will probably never have a chance to actually get to see her, she has and will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks to all the staff members for their dedication for this beautiful water sweet potato. She is growing up be just fitting the name princess Fiona..!!You guys are the best..!

I literally just spent the 13 minutes laughing so hard because of the insane cuteness of baby Fiona. I have tears running down my face.
Fiona reminds me of when I would go to the Washington, D.C. zoo and watch the cute and adorable pigmy hippos spinning their little ears around and around . It made a big impression on me and was my favorite display.
Congratulations to each and every person in Cincinnati who helped Fiona survive and thrive!!

I have ALWAYS loved hippos! Adult or baby, doesn't matter. I've loved them since I was 3 or 4 years old (in my mid 30s now). ❤🦛😍 I have always loved most of all how they wiggle their ears 😍😍😍🦛🦛
So for me, when all this happened, when baby Fiona was born, I was already hooked just on the basis of it being a hippo... then Fiona totally charmed me on her own merit. ❤🦛❤🦛❤🦛❤

I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the videos with Fiona. what a great crew at this facility. they should be very proud of their accomplishments. I have followed the story and just wanted to let you know how impressed I am, of your staff. You can truly see how much they love this baby and ya know Fiona knows too. she knows how much you love her too and that is the best thing ever. The reward is her being happy and healthy and I think you accomplished that for sure!

I had this big stupid grin on my face this whole video...You guys are the best! I'm in NY, near the Bronx Zoo and after seeing this and seeing how much hard work and dedication you all put into not only keeping Fiona alive, but getting her to thrive, it just really made my day. I'm sure she's huge now. She is a true miracle and without the staff being there for her 24/7 from day one, she wouldn't be here. Great job, everyone!!! That is true dedication. Thank you for all you do for all the animals at the Cincinnati Zoo!

She has such a cute tongue. It was so cute when she licked the side of her tank. When hippos open their mouths I never noticed the tongue. I love seeing her sink and jump underwater. I wish I was that comfortable in the water.

Then they turn adult, still looking cute, with awesome gaping mouths...that are super dangerous! They can get to be 4.5 Tons (up to 9000 pounds!) and kill Lots of people in Africa & yet, their facade is Still cute.

Ive watched fiona before but ive never seen her birth videos, feeding schedules, changes in food amounts & bottle sizes .. im a marine lover but this little lady stole my whole heart and all staff efforts shows so much dedication you can see the love the staff has for not only fiona but their work . Fiona is what you call a gem...shes just so precious but at the same time a beautiful warrior!!! Great job guys!!! ... though i do have a question and maybe i will find my answer in future videos but HOW IS FIONAS MOM DOING!!?? I know staff has stated that mom was chewing up the food for fiona ... what is moms name ? obviously fiona gets her strong genes from her mama 😊
