I was a little disappointed with Legion’s parkour, since London is pretty much a hotspot for free running. Shame they didn’t utilise people’s occupations that altered their agility.

How come game studios always manages to downgrade their games when they have a great platform to begin with... WD1 Awesome combat and takedowns and such, weapons felt like weapons. WD2 hacking got made a lot cooler and parkour was improved greatly, yet somehow WD3 managed to not include any of that...

@ymif Well the parkour in AC is actually better than in Watchdogs 1...but Legion's parkour is shit... I mean Aiden atleast rolls when he jumps from high places... That is a must in any parkour but in Legion... They just jump and run it off... And that is just scratching the surface check a side by side comparison of Legion and Aiden's parkour... I'd say Watchdogs 2 had the best parkour ...yes it is not perfect especially Marcus's backflip before jumping off an edge is redundant because it realistically reduces speed... But overall it has the best parkour in the series.... I just hope they make a patch in Legion's parkour and improve on Watchdogs 2 parkour

You clearly haven't seen the older operatives very slowly rolling over a railing in legion
Like many things with Legion, they made the animations lack personality because they had to be the same across all characters. So anything that's unique or stands out would be distracting if on a bunch of characters. The "play as anyone" gimmick held the game back so much. Your operatives can't have personality. They just either all behave the same, or once in a while a random one is given a piece of dialogue on phone conversations or in the safe house. But they can even contradict a line that very character said before by making them regret killing and then later saying a character should have been killed or something. The whole thing is a mess. You can't get attached to any character in Legion because nobody is a real character. The only thing that makes anybody unique is their shallow gameplay quirks which adds so little and many don't make much sense. Like why a character can use a stun SMG but not a stun rifle. What logic is there in that restriction? It's just to encourage the player to recruit. But the fact features like blackout, disabling power to doors, framing a target, buying vehicles or weapons, etc. were just straight up removed from the previous entry makes the entire game feel like a giant step backwards. At the very least, shouldn't any operative be able to purchase or remove a melee weapon?

You summed it up pretty good, I love legion regardless, but I was just playing thinking to myself the same thing, "why can't I disable doors, that was so useful". I think Aiden uses blackout, but that's about it.
@@trevthekidd It’s a bit more chaotic than blackout which kind of bothers me; since I believe vehicles go haywire. And the lights don’t go out. It seems the game was designed without Blackout in mind so it’d be impossible to implement. I’m glad they at least gave him something similar.
@@TheDanteEX yeah bro you're right af, when I used it at first I expected the lights to go out but they all stay on, I was actually kinda mad because it was the coolest signature move Aiden had, the lights always going off before he does something badass

I swear dude, all Legion did was reuse the motion capture from WD2 while giving the player a janky looking run animation, and in addition, did a crappy job ported it over. The entire parkour system has, for no entire reason, been downgraded into nothing more than a joke. It’s stiffer and sadly didn’t reach my expectations when I had my hands on it. All Legion has going for it is it’s shameless inclusion of Aiden and Wrench into this disappointing sequel 😤

Watchdogs legion was definitely fun, but now that im replaying them all i can see how unnatural the transition was from wd2 to wdl. The story felt super weird due to the futuristic aspect. I loved how shrouded in mystery DedSec was in wd1, but in wdl anyone can just join dedsec? not only that but the wd1 dlc for legion felt weird too. I think it was a missed oppertunity to not have Jackson follow in Aidan/s footsteps, and continue his legacy as the fox. but instead hes just some guy with ptsd. he almost feels like a different character.
Why would Jackson want to follow after the fox? Sure he could be able to do it but why would he do it? It makes no sense. Jackson and Aiden’s ideas and justice mentality split.
Watch Dogs parkour is great but nothing beats Assassin’s Creed

For me watchdogs 1&2 is better than the Watchdogs Legion. Watchdogs Legion is quite nice but im disappointed because the parkour style they had isnt the same as watchdogs 1&2 is different. Still watchdogs 1 is still my favorite because it has the best story.
If I were to dig into watch dogs legion, I'd start with their voice actors...
Takedowns absolutely goes to legion, it has the animations of the first game (you can play as Aiden Pearce) plus dozens of animations for each operator

Well Ubisoft is the creator of the legend Of parkour Games assassin's Creed so they did a good job
Assassin's creed isn't a parkour game, it includes some parkour moves but it isn't about parkour. The only real parkour game that exist is the free running game that's based on parkour lifestyle of London with real traceurs.

Watch Dogs 2 has decent freerunning and parkour, but the animations are really buggy. In Watch Dogs 1 however, there are little bugs with the freerunning, also combined with a good camera position.

As someone who has brought all 3 Watchdogs on their release dates, own all the dlc's (BadBlood was the first DLC I ever brought) & considers it my 2nd favourite gaming franchise I should be able to say without a doubt that Legion was the biggest insult in gaming I have personally ever had. If they wanted to experiment with new features to that extent they should of created a new game or a spin off series. Watchdogs 2 had the best world and gameplay with Watchdogs 1 having the best story. Watchdogs 3 should have the best graphics but as a British person did not really think London looked that great, the dystopian future theme ruined it a lot as futuristic dystopian and an almost 2000 year old city does not match that well

1 - same animations, 2 - best and fluent parkour (With tricks), 3 - not that good but feels more realistic parkour animations than others.

Watch dogs is one of those hidden gem titles what we seen may not have been the end product but it was still a very solid game and doing fairly well 2 titles later still will never forgive ubisoft for the blantent lie and selling us a completely different game almost but its not that bad considering 🤷
Would not say a completely different game, just downgraded. A lot shown in the trailer was in the actual game. Just the explosions, effects and a few hacking elements were missing. It's like RTX on and off.

There are something I found out on watch dog 1 parkour, player won't jump when pressing space bar or any key that climb but in watch dog 2 and legion player will jump near some place with gap between.

I think Watch Dogs Parkour is very defensible, since Aiden is not young like Marcus, Aiden Pearce is 39 years old so his Parkour is simple and slow.
