Anyone who played this knows when you get to Brazil in Story mode it got hard, I forgot which mission it is, but its the mission where you have to chase the guy into the mountains and wreck his car. -- Man that was the hardest mission in that game hands down!!! Still one of my childhood favorites besides the first driver.
You could get out of the car in the free roam mode. I remember finding the secret cars in Chicago and Havana. Chicago had a yellow/black Buick GSX looking thing, and Havana had a white and pink Mini. You had to get out to hit switches in order to get to them.

Cool memories of this game. Yeah, graphics really didn't start coming in until Driv3r (Driver 3) and Driver Parallel Lines. Those were also the ones where you could finally start shooting the police and run down pedestrians.
I spent countless hours playing this game growing up... It was sooo much fun, in Chicago I drove the school bus all the time and pretended to be a school bus driver lol... Memories 😢

Pretty sure you can get out of your car in take a ride? I remember if you go to the top of Chicago at the baseball stadium, go around the side press triangle and up ( I think) at the kiosk, the stadium opens and you get a secret car! Awesome game!
SLAP please play the fast and the furious tokyo drift!! its a Ps2 game but it has better customization than forza no doubt :P i know it would make for great videos and you get to drift and touge race against all the tokyo drift cars!
That was my favourite game back then :D driver 1 and 2 bring back so many memories. It was so difficult that I had to play with my dad to finish the game :D I remember some missions being such a struggle for us but we finished both games :3 Loved the video

I dont know if anyone is gonna read this but at 4:54 he talks about getting out of the car, and he says that is only possible in a few missions, but he is wrong, in free roam u can get our of the car. If I am not mistaken the bottoms were UP and Triangle. You were able to get into other cars the same way.
Dude in free roam you're able to get out of any vehicle, as longs as you're not being chased by the police. I played this on PS1 as a kid, the driver would only walk forward and always had a gun in his right hand, anyways nice video :v

Did you ever find the secret cars in Chicago (Wrigley Field) ane in Havana (underground maze)? The Driver trilogy was an absolute fun and underrated one to play growing up. Keep it real in Steeltown.
You should continue the series with Driv3r. That game had such great car physics + dem cutscenes and the Tommy Vercetti parody. Perhaps even do Driver Parallel Lines.

i remember i had this game and i was able to get out of the car in free roam. i also remember the secret cars, and to get them you had to get out and actually get into them. idk what are you talking about slap, if you ever boot the game up again try pressing triangle and up on the d-pad. you have to be at a complete stop and not being chased by the police
I grew up with the original PlayStation so I enjoy this game so much and I still have that on my PlayStation emulator and still enjoyed to this day plus this driver was my favourite because it was made in the year 2000
