The story of my life right here, man. People who don't play video games are quick to judge when I tell them I listen to VGM but they seriously don't know what they are missing.
Well, to be fair that's what people associate with VGM, and I don't blame them. You should probably try and describe what you're listening to in more detail. For instance, the style of this track is more than just "sounds coming from a video game". It incorporates elements from many different kinds of EDM and the 90s R&B/flava scene. Of course, there are a lot of references likely to Japanese family game titles like Mario and Sonic, but it's more than that. In fact, it's hard to grasp the breadth of VGM as a description. Technically, it incorporates a lot of (otherwise thought of as) cinematic music traits in Western FPS/adventure titles at least, and a whole ton of crappy music that just doesn't sound good in an attempt by developers to make their video game "sound more like a video game".
I think you're wrong there. YOu are clearly referring people who don't play games. But not the people who play it with highstandards. Truly I found this good. But the music only though.
I've listened to this so many times, and yet I still feel a surge of joy whenever I listen to it. My favorite song in the OST, truly a work of art from Jake Kaufman.
MiniMoonSama Having the same problem, only intraural earphones 3.5mm works fine for the portable, on the wii u i crank up my home theater & the steam one thank god i can use bluetooth headphones lol
I don't hate it. In fact, I love it like the rest of this game's OST. I just think the other tracks get overlooked, seeing how most of the MSF remixes or mashups involve either Whoa I'm in Space Cuba or the other really popular track, Love You Love You Love.
Cherry apple How could it not bring memories! Simple story, medium-paced action puzzle platformer with simple yet genius design, Mega Man styled controls and the best keeping-the-pace melodic synth-ish disco OST ever. Just can't get enough :D
Imagine walking into a club and this is playing. Lighting flashing to the beat, everyone's jumping and dancing and just having a good time. That's where I wanna be.
It was plenty The albums it features are: Aquaria, Sword & Sworcery, To the Moon, Jamestown, Machinarium, Shatter, 8-Bit Pimp, Mighty Switch Force, Cat Astro Phi, Passcode, Machinarium Bonus EP, Tower of Heaven, Eternal Daughter, Songs for the Cure ’10, Squids, and Thunderbeam. Pretty niсe for 10$
No. If you forgot to check the description first, then I think people are totally justified in being smart asses when they tell you where to look. It's like not studying, and then getting miffed that your teacher gives you a bad mark and make you retake the test. You should be glad that you have this new chance to study and get a good mark, not angry because you were expected to have studied.

A bassline this fucking feral should not be in the same song as such a beautiful pop melody yet it works so delightfully
That's like a constant throughout this OST. Jake Kaufman is a god of vgm composition

thankfully it's a lot more mainstream than in 2013

Is it okay that I got brought to this game from a mashup on SoundCloud?
M.Bison "YES! This is delicious!
I've probably looped this for over an hour now. A wonderfully creative use of instruments and a feast to the ears.
You could chop this at the pair of bass notes at 2:50 and it would seriously be a great radio tune. Or a club track, whichever lets you jam harder
some nice electro house, espeicially for a $5.99 video game :)
Yummy: what a delicious name for a delicious song!
This is one of the best game soundtracks I've ever seen, unexpected for a indie game.
My god i just keep coming back for this awesome ost
I love video game music because the composers sometimes jump right outside the musical expectations of others and just imagine what COULD be.
This ost slap hard !
first time I listened this in my 3ds: -holy shit this is like sex to my ears!
now: -holy shit this is like sex to my ears!
Seriously, I just can't get enough of this song.

I can’t unhear Patricia saying “Yummy!” Or when her voice clips get interrupted. “Yum- CHECKPOINT”
That's how I heard this! I bought the soundtrack for that very reason, and I've never even played the game. Also, I agree. Brelston is awesome.
I keep expecting this song to break out into full-on mario kart.
but then i realize this isn't mario kart.
*hears item box sound play*
Ah geez, now I can hear the Mario Kart version in my head
This song makes me so happy! I have to smile and dance whenever I hear this. If I ever throw a dance party, this is guaranteed to be played.

There's a clever "I'll have whatever she's having" joke in here somewhere
Sounds a little like Daisy Circuit
When I heard it first time I thought it was a Daisy Circuit remix 😂
