I’m on .5 of ozempic. I will say it has helped tremendously with blood sugar levels. I’m very happy with it.

Hello Yeli! So sorry to hear about your blood sugar levels. Hopefully titrating up will be the key to getting them back down. Your diet sounds fantastic, so it shouldn't be causing those problems. I started on Ozempic this past Monday at 1.0 (I think it may be too strong but I am waiting til Monday to see how things go over the weekend before calling my dr.) I was on Mounjaro beginning in July and did well on it. I started at 2.5 for a month and then was on 5.0 the rest of the time. My insurance will pay for Ozempic but not Mounjaro so I made this switch. She started me at 1.0 and said that was comparable to Mounjaro 5.0. I didn't have any side effects from the shot (other than the tingling I mentioned in my last post) but when I eat, I seem to get nauseous for a short time regardless of the amount (I am talking a couple of tablespoons of food, not a plateful!). It goes away pretty quickly but it is almost a deterrent to eating. Of course I want to lose weight, but I don't want to do it by not eating. Today has been a little better so we shall see how things go over the next few days.

Best of luck! Keep me posted. I hope it works well for you and that you can figure out if you need to titrate down or not wit your doctor.

Hello, has your dietician or doctor ever talked to you about foods that are fast or slow sugar releasing?

No injection site reaction on ozempic?

One time. It was just red and di not itch, but I also think I took the needle out a bit when injecting since I was doing it on camera. It has to be that because I have had no reactions since.

I don't, my doctor has to change my prescription on file. Insurance would never cover them all.

I have done IF - I was doing 16 hour fast and 8 hour eating window where I only had 2 meals. That worked for a while until my body got used to it. I found out I had to change it out and fast some times and not every single day to benefit better from it. Thanks! Glad it's working for you.

DISCLAIMER: NOT A PHYSICIAN or DIETARY SPECIALIST. JUST ME TALKING. I see you have a new video, so I'm going to look at that, but the title is already making me feel sad for you. I am wondering how your fiber intake is. My calories are generally around 1000/day. I add fiber to my morning protein coffee (whey protein, collagen peptides, touch of vanilla, a splenda, 1.5 cups of whole milk and up to a tablespoon of psyllium husk). I do that to help regulate the MJ side effects. The fiber keeps my sugar more level and helps suppress appetite as I get close to 'shot day'. I do not suffer the diabetic severity you do, (I'm very borderline and not about to experiment with what would happen if I ate like the rest of the country or didn't maintain strict control) and I'm so sorry this stupid disease gives you so much trouble because I can tell you are super-circumspect about everything. But I was thinking this morning that MJ helps the Metaformin control my blood sugar. (I'm on 500mg Metformin three times a day). I spoke with my PCP a couple of weeks ago and I just have a feeling if I went off the Metformin, I'd regret it. I think the combo is what works for me, but Metformin alone, while it worked well for several years, suddenly lost efficacy and my weight climbed. (which is what brought me to MJ). While I do lose weight, I am not one of those fast losers, but I'm losing which isn't something i did before. I don't know what I'm babbling about, I just so feel for your struggles right now. Hugs. You have my support.

Yeah, it's a process to find what works best for sure. In my case, I don't get any type of constipation, I actually get the contrary. And the 2 doses of metformin make it really worse. So without going into details, I do take natural fiber but I have not wanted to add any because of how much I go already. Thanks for the hugs. I appreciate you reaching out.
