Proko just can't stop dropping the gold for us. Saw the notification for this and had to watch immediately. Starts playing and we're greeted by Michael Hampton....incredible content!
Hey proko, you’re content is like gold and purely amazing, I’ve just heard about my secondary school results and found I have an art scholarship, I couldn’t have done it without you, so thanks again!
❤ Great, when brought back to the form of a block, drawing is easier to shape, it helps me realize that the whole is not skewed in parts such as eyes, mouth, nose. I like this tutorial, I'm practicing drawing, practicing by myself.
I want to draw an animation but everything just felt to hard to draw even with the things you taught me proko should I just quit? like I said I’m not that good at it.
Hey proko I have tried your line controlling techniques like hold pencil using overhand grip, connecting two dots, tapering lines , etc. yes they help me controlling my lines and line quality and it is not too good but improved compared to when I started. but only when I draw large shapes. It is still very very difficult for me to draw small parts like here when M.Hampton was drawing the eyes and facial forms. Help me😟😟. And can you give some tips for object drawing??
Is there anything you think that you're doing differently when you go to draw small shapes than when you draw the large shapes? Are you practicing those exercises on making small marks as well? While it may not solve everything, try rewatching that video and see if you've glossed over some of the other parts like finding and working with what's comfortable in speed, arm placement and more. Additionally, working small IS different than working large. You should simplify unless you need every tiny detail in those small areas. Both for the sake of the viewer's eye and for the complication of making those small marks. Practice working small but also only draw small what needs to be there, knowing that it gets viewed as a whole.

I looked away for a brief moment and when I turned back, the construction was already done. Amazing.

I had Michael Hampton as an instructor a few years back. Since i took his class, I improved my skills with the knowledge he shared.
I’m always so impressed to see people do stuff like this you can tell he has a great understanding of form and lighting.
