Thank you! 🙏 Yes, the holes are offset from the centre, so that it’s possible to reach them with the fingers. Maybe you noticed that the right index finger is not using the tip to close hole 2. The flute is just too long.
Thank you ! It’s superb to listen to and it makes me want to practice, practice, practice 😊 The sound of a 2.7 is really beautiful and bewitching. Unfortunately this seems reserved for big fingers! not for me ! 🙏🤝
Thank you! 🙏 And: Yay! Practice! ✌ Yes, it is a very nice flute, and I am very lucky to have it. It took me quite some time to get my fingers to stretch to reach the holes.
It seems the 2.7 is not just larger, but the holes are placed differently. Interesting. Well done. Thank you.

Wunderbar gespielt! Danke!
Vielen Dank dafür! 🙏
This is smashingly beautiful. Even inside a sauna!
I never considered this sauna music, but I'm very glad to hear it passed this hurdle as well! 😆

Are you consciously added this sort of tonguing/pulsing/static sound to the piece or is it just how you blow through this shakuhachi?
I was just recovering from Covid when I recorded this, so my breathing is a bit strained. (It’s also very obvious when I breathe in.) 🙂
