Onew is the one who spun the mic stand and he's actually known for having miscellaneous talents like that, he's very good with his hands lol, one example being he can open a bottle with just about anything (be it a pot lid, deodorant etc. haha)
It's nice that when the members do ad-libs that show off their vocals (in this vid Onew and Jonghyun) you smile in appreciation 😊
Also, Minho helped train Chanyeol before he debuted in rapping
You should do a guide to SHINee, so that you know all of the members (cause they're all great). Also, all of the members (including Taemin) have very district, but very pleasant voices.

I couldn't be happier you chose the dance version for this! Chanyeol sounds like Minho because he was his rap mentor. Not sure if you know this, but your boy was never meant to be a rapper- Chanyeol trained to be a vocalist but stepped up to the plate when they needed more rappers in the group. He is equally good at both :) Your cat owned this video- she demands attention. Seeing that up next bit at the end reminds me- you need to finally watch Sherlock!

Thanks for the reaction! I love this song, and your cat is still the cutest cat ever. Fun fact: In one live for "Dream Girl", Minho broke his mic stand mid-performance, but they all (well, except Taemin, who was oblivious) covered the mistake so well that if you're not aware of it, you won't even notice that anything went wrong. They incorporated picking up the pieces of the mic stand right into their choreography and made a last-minute change in who had mic stands for the final formation, all on the fly while singing and dancing. It's pretty impressive teamwork to see, and a good display of their professionalism and experience. I'd recommend watching it. The mic stand that their using was actually personalized only for SHINee! It cost around $1500 per mic stand so that the members can move easily with it ❤️

I love that one of the songs that you actually like from SHINee is Dream Girl which is one of their very underrated promo tracks (even Shawols seem to be very “meh”) about it from my experience. I love it. It was my first comeback in the fandom and I think it is so energizing.

lol, Minho and Chanyeol sound very different actually, but they both have a more baritonish voice, and Minho actually helped train Chanyeol too, so that could be why their rhythm is very similar. so I guess I understand why you thought they sounded similar.

The song is called "Dream Girl" so the whole MV is a dream sequence. That is why you see them dancing on the walls and why the one set has the floor behind them and the walls are tipped so it looks like they are dancing on the walls. That is why you see them with the computer glitches and why they are jumping and falling from the ceilings and walls and why you see Onew roll down the wall, etc. This is also why you can't see the girl's face, because she is a dream girl. It doesn't matter what she looks like because Shawols (SHINee fans) are SHINee's dream girls. So the girl represents all their fans. That is why all the scenes are the way they are because its a dream so anything can happen.
You should really check out their live stage for "Dream Girl" -- the mic stand choreography is legendary and, like SHINee, it was so unique for its time and unlike anything anyone had done up until then. Just another example of what makes SHINee unlike any other and why they are considered one of the best when it comes to their vocals and dancing.
Let's not forget their special stage when Minho's mic stand fell apart!

Hey Ellis! Seriously love your reactions man because you are a musician. Okay, you know how annoyed your cat is making you? Well, guess how annoyed I'm getting... SAME! I guess you don't have a separate room, or that she'll just meow and scratch at the door if you put her in another place while you're recording, Maybe you have a neighbor who loves cats who can babysit once in a while (I know you record at all hours so probably not a practical suggestion). Nothing against cats - have had them myself. But really it's getting a little too much. You may have limited options. But your viewers have lots of options... we can watch other channels. I'm at the 6:19 mark and paused to write this... I stopped watching something else when I saw your SHINee reaction was up. Guess I'll go try again, but I may have to bail from this reaction if the interruptions keeps happening. So annoying when people have to stop the great sound of SHINee to fanboi over fricking Taemin. Taemin isn't all that. Really. He's a good dancer, but he's hardly the most talented member of SHINee (Jonghyun, Onew). Or even the most interesting person in the group, either (that would be Key). So knock off fawning over him. It gets old that everyone does that.
I'm a Shawol all over but I have to agree with Minho sounding like Chanyeol sometimes, or that Chanyeol sounds like Minho, whichever way you want to say it. I hear it too 🙂
