I heard this story when I was a child from my grandmother who grew up and went to school in a French Catholic Monastery in the island of Syros in Greece. In the monastery she was given the holy bible in French with a cover of a picture of Mary Magdalene. She died in 1987 at the age of 90 and she left me this bible which I treasure immensely!

    Interesting🙏.
Religious history remains essential to keep our minds focused on matters related to morality, fraternal happiness and the ideal of world peace.
Looking forward to learning more about the history as surely more evidence will appear, as it does, naturally💜🧘‍♀️🇱🇰

Read the lost books of the bible.
      Also there's a magazine .
      Archyolagy review.
I do believe that Noah's ark has been found. I heard of this many years ago but with drones now.
And the rocks that were used to steady the boat.
The ark of the covenant is very interesting. How it was hidden very fast when trouble was near.
But I have faith and the love of Jesus that I will hold onto
      Yes Jesus loves you too

      That isn't proof, though.
Mystics, monks, hermits, have always been celibate.
Seems to be a natural inclination of the spiritually mature.

You are referring to a post crucifixion religion. Jesus (hazus) Ben David would have had no choice and married soon after bar mitzvah his wife pre-selected. There is evidence of his royal connection hidden in the New Testament… the temple priests listening to a child ie a male under the age of 33. The killing of the male children at the birth.

I lived in Marseille and spent many times on Ste Baume, the long mountain where the grotto where Mary Magdalene lived is found. In Provence the creche at Christmas is very different from other regions and countries. It depicts a hilly region which we created using rocks covered in moss and which is peopled by Santons, the small statuettes of all the characters to be found in an early Provençal village. There are also the characters of the Christmas story because it is/was believed that christ was born in Provence. Having watched this documentary I wonder whether it might rather refer to the birth of Mary Magdalens baby?

When the Gospel of Mary was discovered there is no mentioned that she was in France, there was no written books from any of her companions that they lived and preach there, Ironic...

Thank you very gratefully for that you defend the honor of this woman who was denigrated, her personality trampled on since the beginning of the church. She was the main Apostle. Peter, the one raised in the Slavs, and the founder of Catholic Christianity, fled immediately after the crucifixion crime directly to Rome and in exchange for the transcriptions of Yeshua's sermons, made by Thomas or Judah, he "negotiated" a social position. And, who warned that Mary M. should never be mentioned. Jealousy had gone far. Mary of Magdala was from a Jewish mother and a Syrian-Egyptian father. Her mother was the sister of the wife of Joseph of Arimathea. The woman buried at Saint Maximillian is not her, it is Martha, the sister of Lazarus.
She left France, where the Roman occupiers were becoming a threat, she lived the last years protected by the Apostle John, in Ephesus, in today's Turkey, where she died at the age of 68, and is buried anonymously, near the Ephesus caves.

26:55 “bizarre twist” indeed. Too bad this episode did not discuss the contents of the alleged “Book of Mary.”
why ? maybe bec the book really sounds bizarre. It has missing chapters, and the extant translations of the remainder do not make sense. Like a fanfic gone wild.
It paints Mary Magdalene as incoherent and nonsensical. No wonder it didn’t make the cut. Most likely a forgery.

Yes I beleive she did return to Jerusalem, I watched a documentary about a year ago I cannot remember what it was called but it was about the discovery of Jesus family tomb, very interesting and I beleive it to be true, this tomb or cave was discovered in 80s by some children playing around a construction site where new houses or units were being built in Jerusalem, it was amazing, every bit of evidence was examined and studied by experts, and according to test results and yes even DNA, which they weren't quiet sure would work , but it did, everything suggested that this was indeed the tomb or cave of Jesus and his family, not only that but DNA testing showed there was a different sequence of DNA discovered in this tomb, this would suggest a marriage, and more than likely this DNA would be Mary Magdalene, at the end of the doco, they showed a tiny box also in this tomb with the name Jonah enscribed on it. Remember that after the resurrection Jesus then went on to heaven, and so just like any other human being his bones were left behind, so he was therefore buried in the family tomb

@@jodyarnold2388Simcha Jacobovici is the name of the lead historical investigator. He's channel is still up on YT but has been inactive over the past few years. I believe that he was banned from entering Israel after his team gained access to the tomb.
You must understand that his investigations would shatter the Christian myth, and with it goes unfailing support of the Evangelicals to Israel.

People have tried to undermine the gospel of Jesus for 2000 year's but the truth will always stand, regardless of stories like this. This story is just another attempt to undermine Jesus and God's word. The Bible warns about the false profits that will try and divert us from the Truth.

Engaging with a true mystic while making this film would have clarified much. Trying to figure out what was happening with Jesus and Mary is just not possible from a human vantage point which is dualistic. For instance, a kiss on the mouth was a greeting given to an equal in the Essenes. Celibacy was not unusual because of a Spiritual Focus. Also, he loved Mary more than anyone else? Could it not have been due to her Total Commitment to Truth? ( And Jesus said that he would make her male )
How could one possibly know what that truly means? Yet, a true mystic would know the answer. A true mystic beats to the same drum as Jesus, Buddha, Laotse etc. A few examples of modern day mystics,
Mooji, Eckhart Tolle, The Mother, Sarada Devi etc. There is so much waiting to be uncovered when the focus is removed from the World of Appearances.

I never heard so many historical errors in one documentary ever, ... this is so inaccurate and only opinions. The bible is one of the only historical book of the period giving women such an important place. Making men look bad, when women are full of courage, when Jesus get arrested, crucified and resurrected, in all these events, the apostle are scared and absent, while the women are standing.

It is completely useless to speculate and say it was like this or like that when no one knows things for sure, it's not like scientists or the scholars of faith were there no one can say
things for sure no science, no religious scholars. I think it's just a matter of faith a person he or she believes what he or she believes, whatever science or religious scholars say.
