"Colossus is one of the most fun to play songs for me. This is a mix of pure death metal, hardcore, and of course a few proggy oddly structured riffs. Personally I love the melodic part at the beginning with a shifted accent and the blast beat part in the middle, a bit of Cannibal Corpse flavor.", - says Eugene.

Eugene is up there being one of the best bass players out there.
I’ve strummed the guitar for over 30 years. Wife and kids bought me a bass for Father’s Day and I love it! I spend equal time on both instruments and dare I say it’s made me a better musician. It some how clarified aspects of music theory that I guess I was ignoring. Playing bass made me better guitar player if that makes sense.
Music starts with a beat. When you perfect that, you have your grounding.
It makes lot of sense. Every instrument that you learn to play adds to your musicality and understanding of music.
Eugene is a beast! Such a masterful combination of rhythmic and melodic playing. I love how he is not bound by any playing technique either.
Tatijana, Roman and Vlad are also equally masters of their instruments.
There is a reason these guys are on the first leg of the Slipknot tour. Talent. All of them!
As a former lead guitarist of several bands for more than 30 years, I see this band as something special! THEN I SEE THE SINGER! As good as these guys are as a band, this woman takes them to the next level!!!! She is that something that can take any group over the top! I love it! This is Jinjer! JINJER! Yeah, just like that! The band that can bitch slap you and all the while hold your hand and make you feel OK.
Incredible how much total groove these two cats can milk out of all their rhythmic mayhem!! As complex as Jinjer's music is, that rock'n beat is always in there thanks to these two!

What blows my mind is that these guys have no idea what Tati's gonna do to make these tracks more "listener-friendly." When they write these amazing, complex pieces, they do so by just riffin' their way through it. It seriously boggles my mind. Vlad and Eugene... the best rhythm section going.
I had no idea, but Tatiana posted this on Facebook that Eugene wrote the lyrics to this song as well.
Heard my 1st Jinjer song a couple months ago and 3 days later went and seen you live in Cleveland & holy shit, you all killed it. My new fav band and will see again at Knotfest - you all be safe, peace.

A bass playthrough, but I must mention again how I love Jinjer drum sound (despite being modern metal) sounding not like some plastic shit you can hear in modern metal genres (and from "revitalized" veterans from 80s too, actually) but they sound like drums.

Dude. Even us lifelong musicians get a full eye-opener on these playthroughs! Love the sounds and skill! The bass has an awesome tone, but unlike most modern tones, it's not lacking what it's there for - bass. Many modern metal bassists get a darkglass and dingwall, max out the gain, turn down bass, max out mids and treble and think they're better than Nolly. The drums are otherworldly too, love how bassy, yet defined the kick sounds.
