Every time I re-watch the end of this episode, the depressive, helpless and the hold back emotional lines that came out from Eren just sends me goosebumps. "if we killed off the entire enemy over the sea, can we be truely free?" 😢
it hurts more when he says "this is what i saw through my dads memories" with a sad look on his face. He was most likely disappointed that he saw the wall next to the sea because that meant all the horrific memories he saw was true. To the viewer this scene looked like a beautiful moment, to eren it was more of a tragic moment.
Floch's moment in this episode is one of my favorite moments in the whole show. Floch basically embodies the opinion of all of the non-Scout military personnel by emphasizing that the decision to choose Armin over Erwin was a selfish one based on emotion rather than the wellbeing and success of humanity. He is justifiably upset and while it is grating to the viewer who experienced the Battle for Shinganshina scene-by-scene, it makes complete sense to every character in the background who read an objective report... really powerful scene
7:09 is the moment something broke inside of Eren. One of the subtlest, saddest moments of the show that beautifully illustrates what it looks and feels like when a childhood dream approaches its’ end. The disillusionment and realizations that come with growing up and facing the harsh realities of the world, changes a person forever. The baby Titan scene always pulls on my heart strings. Imagine being unable to do anything but crawl millimeter by millimeter over the course of thousands of years, not even knowing who you are or what you’re doing. The sadness and misery depicted in its downcast eyes was heart wrenching. The empathy and commiseration Eren showed that Titan was bittersweet and shows how far he’s come as a character.

Season 3 just.... its amazing. The ending is so bittersweet, they get to the sea for freedom but its just another wall with enemies on the other side. You may not like Floch but he was speaking facts :(
It's such a bittersweet ending to the season. They achieve everything that they've been fighting for since the beginning of the show, only to learn that there's another enemy on the other side of the sea. They may not be bound by the three walls any more but they're still an island surrounded by an enemy that wants to kill them... everything has changed and yet nothing has changed.
I will always be sad when I see Eren's scene at sea... His eyes filled with sadness to see that everything he saw in his father's memories was real and to understand that the only solution was to kill everyone or they could not live... It breaks my heart
The scene with floch in the funeral was a call back to when hannes said Eren couldn't help his mom because he lacked the strength, and the reason he couldn't help his mom was because he lacked the courage. Not only that, but starting from here on you can start to see floch talking about finding out the truth just like Erwin did. I believe he was supposed to be the successor to Erwin's character arc
When Erin looked over to the sea, pointed and said " after we kill all our enemies, then will we be free"? I just break down every time. my ancestors were slaves. I just feel so connected to this show. everything I feel, the tears Ive cried, the triumph I felt... this is all genuine. I always think back to my ancestors.. .did they go through such madness when they decided to be free? I cant express this enough... i dont think there is another anime that is this good and so well put together. EVERY character matters!

The conversation with the reporters gives such an interesting perspective on how we at first wished to eradicate the titans from the world because we didn't know who they really were to now the world wishing to eradicate us in the same way because they don't know who we really are.
Wow upon rewatching for the million times I just realized the meaning behind Armin's stare. Hiding the fact about Dina titan being royal blood is the first time Eren witholding information to himself. Armin, fancied himself as the one who understand Eren the most, catch this. He know that Eren is hiding something. And Season 4 Eren is fully witholding his plan and informations and always hiding his intention.
You kinda feel for the characters in this season finale, like, we already know what's outside the walls, obviously, but knowing the characters, you actually feel happy for them that they are seeing and experiencing this now. And what excites me is how'd you reacted seeing the first episode of season 4. I can already picture it somehow, but still, I'm really looking forward for your reaction. I remember when these episodes were braaand new, already at that point I knew AoT was the best story written, and s4 will triple it up. The whole thing deals with a timeless topic, as ure about to find out. It perfectly merges a cruel seriousness, with entertaining fantasy mechanics and visuals. Theres actually really no remote match to this in pop culture or well known literature. This stuff exceeds Shakespeare and any other stuff. But u will always need something new... So everyone: Change my mind, tell me whats better..!

This show was the first ever anime I watched, it was my introduction to anime, and after seeing the final episode, I decided to binge watch your guys’ AoT reactions straight through to the end to rewatch it with you, and the stuff you notice is crazy, like after Eren kisses Historia’s hand, you really notice the changes in him, man I got emotional writing this, the first time I ever found out about anime was because I was a massive fan of xxxtentacion and when he died he had an unreleased song called “Numb the Pain” and someone made a remix of it and made an anime music video edit of the final fight in season 1 of AoT between Annie and Eren, and I thought “wow this is anime? I’ll give this a go” and it was the best choice I ever made, and now the show has come to an end it is so emotional rewatching all of it with you guys and noticing all these little details I didn’t notice before, so thank you guys

You two are awesome, you're actually taking notice of the important and thought provoking things. Like the flora already regrowing behind the "caterpillar" titan because it's been there for such a long time goiing at the slowest pace imaginable. The almost eternity it must've taken to slowly get that far and the knowledge that it's a person experiencing a nightmare.

It's such a heartbreaking moment... Armin's dream is achieved, while Eren's crumbles completely. The sea represented different things to each, to Armin it was the first step to finally being able to see the outside world, but to Eren, seeing the sea meant being free. He is tormented constantly by the memories of his father, but it didn't truly sink in until they reached the sea, and he saw everything with his own eyes. Saw that beyond it is no freedom, but enemies who want to take it away from them.
Hitch... I wish I could tell you how sorry I am. Marlo was always going to try to do the righteous thing. He was like that, special. Maybe that was stupid of him, but it takes courage to long for change. I never believed change was possible. Coming to Paradis, even if I might never return to my father, showed me that there is good in this world. Even if it will all be wiped away eventually.
Jesus christ the amount of reactions I watched to AoT I seen this anime 13 times I think. Wait till you get through the first 5 episodes of season 4 its straight heat off the jump. And the rest is just a series of masterpiece episodes.
I think that long text during the break given its format must be part of what was written in their news papers, probably by the journalist we saw earlier in this episode ,addressing the public with his thoughts on the matter
The sad part of all this is that without us realizing it this was the last episode animated by Wit Studio before he left the project due to lack of time. It is here when mappa takes the baton for the path of what will be the fourth and final season of this story and THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, mappa is fine but they doesn't perform the titanic task never before rather, of animating this series with the super highest quality with which Wit Studio made. That's why for me this chapter is even sadder than it is, because those who gave the identity of AoT and made it what it is today abandoned it at that very moment without our knowing. By the way, in the credits scene there are images drawn by Wit Studio of what would have been the last season animated by them.
Both Wit Studio and MAPPA did great. Stop with this MAPPA hate. It's so stupid. Wit Studio style was simply not suited for 4th season which is more grounded than every season before that. Same as MAPPA's style is not suited for 1-3 seasons because those seasons were supposed to be magical and mysterious by design. Which is why there was so much contrast. 1-3 seasons are a fantasy story which is about to end, while 4th season is a harsh and horrible truth in reality happening in a more grounded environment. Such drastic change in style was needed.

14:52 not even halfway there. They are trapped on a plot of habitable land in a vast world full of other beings that want them all dead. Just like where they started from. All that struggle. All that loss and they are back at square one. Maybe not even that.
Eren saying nobody knows what the future holds and that they haven't even seen the see or outside world yet... But then he's cut off by his dad's memories Cos he does know what the outside world holds and its not freedom or a world to enjoy...its just hatred and the entirety of the world being against you for just existing. That's why he can't even enjoy the scene at the sea...cos it just confirms all he saw in his memories were true and its just enemies out there.
This show is just amazing because of a lot of reasons, one of them, is all what you watched, a lot of things, the team of Levi, Rod Reiss, the female Titan Annie, the beast etc... All of that, is in fact just the begining of this show ! You will understand why and love it ! 😅❤ But be very care about all what they are talking in the next episode 😄

I recommend you Vinland Saga, it's as good as AoT or even better, one of the key themes is about slavery

Seasons 1-3 are like prologue. They prepare you for the real story in season 4
