We are thrilled to present 'Somewhere,' the latest release from Swedish producer BExp and Dutch producer and remixer GeorD. This stunning track captures the essence of trance with an exhilarating uplift and a fresh, innovative twist.
'Somewhere' is a trance tribute to old-school vibes, featuring both an uplifting version and a remix by GeorD. The uplifting version takes listeners on an emotional journey, with soaring melodies and euphoric drops that epitomize the spirit of trance.
GeorD, the mastermind behind the remix, shares his journey of blending old-school synth complexity with modern sound purity. By intentionally degrading clean sounds, he creates a unique character that pays homage to classic trance vibes. The intricate sound design layers bring a full, natural resonance that echoes the iconic Gouryella style.
In his own words, GeorD explains, 'I really liked Erik's track, so when he asked me to remix it, I decided to simply edit it to infuse more of my character, improving where I could. It's more than an edit but not quite a remix-hence, a 'respray.' The breakbeat even contains some inspiration from 'From the Heart,' making this a subtle tribute to Ferry's legendary sounds.'

Hi my friend hope your well. I love the emotion in this version and the way you build an uplifting climax. As you say it gives past memory into something else giving a sense of peace. I also felt a calm essence when listening to every element. Good to see you return to Cymatics for a respray.

Hey Joris, it's good to see that everything worked out with the release. I already heard the track in the promo email from cymaticsound but waited until you released it on TH-cam to say something about it.
First of all, I'm happy to see you on the same label as me again, it reminds me of our two works together. Anyway, I really like your version of the track, even if this is your least changed remix so far, but you already explained it and that's why it's more of a "respray". Cool idea by the way, I've never heard anything like this.
The melody is amazing either way, exactly the kind of feelings I like, not too emotional and bright, with a certain nostalgic touch and a bit of sadness, just perfect, and I like that you added your typical style into it. I really like what you did at the end with the fade out, the effects and the gentle breeze in the background that sounds like a quiet choir are very well and creatively done!
All in all, this is a very good release my friend. It's great to see that after all these years you are still motivated to do a lot with music. It shows me that you have a similar passion for it as I do.

Thank you for joining here again! It's good to be back on CymaticSound. It's not a big platform, but they have their hearts in the right place and have plenty of passion. Thank you once more for the great words, and I'm glad this ticks the right boxes for you emotionally. The same goes for me, I think partially due to my changes in sound design approach, and I'm planning to keep developing in that direction. I'm glad you like the details!
Indeed, plenty of motivation left, there's always something new to try. Plenty more in development as well, so more to come soon :). I first want to get some originals signed, but perhaps it's about time to wrap up that trilogy of me remixing a track of yours sometime in the next 1-2 years?

Hey Joris,
You said it perfectly with "they have their hearts in the right place". Well, it's never been important to me to be on a "big platform" anyway, to be honest I can't even remember why I ever had the idea of applying to a label, in this case CymaticSound. When I look at my playlist of my own tracks, the first tune in this label was Playme's remix of "The Promise", it could be that that was the first impetus back then. Anyway, the most important thing is that you produce it primarily for yourself and not for others.
As I said, I love the details. I've listened to the track several times in the last few days because the melody hits the nail on the head for me. I also listened to the original before I wrote the first comment, but I just find your version more varied and creative.
I'm really pleased to hear that you still have a lot going on in the background. I have been in a completely quiet phase since the release of my last track, but of course I already have something new going on in the background too. I've actually been thinking about finishing the trilogy too, I just can't tell you when exactly that will happen. As it currently looks this will be the case after my next track, but this one will again work completely independently because I have already planned something else that will improve everything again, but I won't give anything away this time :P. 1-2 years is definitely more than realistic and I'm very excited to experience such a time again with a perfect double release with the 2 versions. We've both improved a lot since then and I'm very excited to see the result.

Honestly, for how authentic you have remained, I think it's very hopeful that your channel has activity such that most videos have views in the thousands. And that doesn't seem to change so quickly either. My channel is picking up more activity over the years as well, and that is a nice hit of dopamine on top of the satisfaction of music production, haha. So yes, the producing for ourselves seems to be working nicely :).
I'm glad you listened to the track so much recently, it feels like an honour to have you interested in a Trance track again, haha! The whole idea of respraying the original was to infuse some extra of my sound to it. I prefer seeing it as a collab for that reason. Honestly, that is my favourite type of "remix" (or whatever) anyway; respectful to the original, and subtle. And you know I like details, haha.
Art comes and goes like waves, I think it's healthy to take time off in the meantime, especially if that removes any pressure :). Great to hear that you agree on creating another mutual remix in some time! I'm always up for it, so please tell me when you feel ready. And I'm very glad to see you keep experimenting with music, and finding a new challenge, something new to improve each time. That must mean you're curious about music again, and that is a very powerful source of inspiration.
