I’m a right hander. For me, what begins to release the club is in the motion Hogan described in his film drill segment in Shell’s WWOG against Snead: how he keeps his “arm triangle” intact… moving the club (with his body) in a horizontal plane to the ground. Yet, when he makes the FULL swing, his forearms unfold (namely the right arm unfolds) bringing them back down in front of him. To me, this unfolding is intentional, and it is THIS motion blended with body rotation (super important that you keep turning!) that causes the unhinging of the hands, the club to arc properly, and the club face to square. My best advice is watch Hogan do that drill in the film, and try to copy it. The man knew what he was doing.
Hi Zach - My hubby and I are single digit golfers (club champions actually 😅) and wanted to come from Dubai 😊 to Valencia for a couple of lessons or clinic with you week of 6 October; please let me know how to get in touch with you directly to organize this! Can’t wait to discover crazy compression. 🎉
Here is my website zachallengolf.com Also going to be doing some golf schools coming up soon. Or you can always fly me to Dubai. Have always wanted to go.
I appreciate the enthusiasm and dedication you've put into this video. However, I'm having trouble connecting the golf concept to the wrench demonstration, even though I've used that tool extensively. I'm hesitant to purchase the compression video because I'm unsure if I'll fully grasp the idea
Hello, Zach. I have been watching your golf instruction videos for a while now. I enjoy your content, passion for and teaching skills in helping golfers improve in this difficult game. Not criticizing your philosophy, remedy or methodology, I am very interested to know your opinion and thoughts about a particular and overall golf instructional philosophy. Many prominent and respected golf instructors believe in the concept of swinging the golf club as simply swinging a weight on the end of a string. In doing so, they believe it eliminates any improper biomechanical movements or form in the golf swing - weight pressure-shift, tilt or turn of the hips-shoulders, arm-forearm-wrists motion, etc., etc. The concept implies that all body movement should perform and function accordingly if you can swing the golf club having this “feeling”, which I find awfully difficult if not obtainable to find or “feel” on the golf course. Your content and videos have mainly been emphasized on improving the movement of certain body parts and function. You and I also totally understand that when working on correcting specific body part form or movement, it invariably affects other biomechanics, whether you know it or not. Thus, trying to correct one specific body part movement may be at the golfer’s dismay and futility. I have never seen or viewed any of your videos with the concept of feeling and swinging the weight of the club head. Very interested to know if you do have instructional videos for the same. Thank you. “Fight On”.
I use a number of different flexible swing trainer to have that Ernest jones feeling. An I do believe it is helpful. But when swinging a one pound club, there does need to be a degree of structure and width to the arms for the swing to be really good.
The analogy that opened up the golf swing for me is that the shape of the golf club is like an atlatl, which is used to throw a spear. It should be called a “golf sling” not a swing.
With the proper spine tilt away from the target coming into impact and focusing on releasing the club 4’ toward the target INSTEAD OF AT THE BALL, you will get as much compression and proper release that you need. Zach does a good job creating other visuals and feels that will help to compress the ball if you are a flipper.
Everybody and their brother knows what we are supposed to do the problem is getting my brain to obey. I can't figure out how to convince myself that the face will be square if I wait till the last millisecond.
Hmm. Do this: Take a 9 iron or an 8 iron. Get some lacrosse balls. Start out slow!! Make sure sure you're strong enough to do this. Also you might want to use an older club. Hittting the lacrosse ball your hands, wrists and arms will give you instant feedback! Its kind of like the tire drill but better. Like I said make sure you are of above average strength to attempt this. Its pretty difficult. I only hit at the most 10 shots this way at full.speed.
so compression is just de-lofting the club? Why not use a lower number club instead? ie, stop trying to hit a 9-iron 165 yards and just use a 7 iron instead.
Wow, what a great demonstration. Very hard for most to explain, but you totally unlocked it with that clever visual.
Man thank you so much really appreciate that.
This is a very good explanation of how the power is applied and where the hands need to be to get the best contact. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!

I’m in, I almost have this down but inconsistent. It feels essential to acquire this ability. 👍
This latest series of video is excellent. Truly eye opening instruction. Thanks Zach!
Thank you sir. I’m working hard on it.
Great demonstration, season nearly over in the UK , but this has really helped my contact and distance.
Glad to hear it
Fantastic visual. I can really feel what to do just by watching
Nice!

You are an amazing teacher. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
The most excellent instruction, love it.

It’s pretty well explained with different drills and themes from what is on TH-cam. And there is a money back guarantee.

Hey the tag is still on that for an easy return. Love your videos.
Great point, it’s still sitting in my garage. 😂
great analogy. just when you think you've seen it all. very creative and intuitive. thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it. I thought it was clever as well.
Great stuff!
Glad you think so!
Great analogy
Appreciate that
Thanks, I pull the handle through fine but I'm late closing the face or releasing at the right time and hit with face wide open ball goes right?
Definitely need to look at your grip pressure, and also not pulling for too long. Try the left hand drill and make sure you can square it up.
Hey Zack, whats the tatoo on your left arm say? Love the work you do with these video's! Thanks, Ray
Exodus 14:14
Thank you my friend.
How Long should the 90 degree angle be hold in the downswing.
It happens to open up just before P6 or club parallel. Corresponds perfectly to the slowing of the hands, so the club head can accelerate.
How do you square the clubface with that late release? look like slice central if I try this method.
Keep the most rotating and pushing out of the ground, and don’t allow the arms or wrists to tighten up. Feels amazing when done right.
Excellent job
Thank you! Cheers!
This was clever.

Gonna have to look that up sounds intriguing.
Very innovative
Thank you! Cheers!
Hold the rt wrist angle as long as possible and you will compress the gb.
But remember there is a time to let it go. Hogan once said I wish I had three right hands. It’s all in the right time.
@@ZachAllenGolf gravity and centrifugal force will be enough through impact. It's a magic angle....
this doesn't work. you can't 'hold' anything in a golf swing
@johnclancy7465 yes because of gravity and centrifugal force you don't have to release, the physics will release the clubhead for you.

Check out my previous video about this. Doesn’t take strength at all just the proper sequencing and understanding.
I went to Harbor Freight and all of their pipe wrenches are gone.
That is awesome!😂

Zach - loved this one except the wrench should be turned over😂🏌️
He did mention that he wasn't very handy
And using a PIPE wrench to loosen a BOLT is a little painful to think about, but gets the concept across.
Showing exactly how little I know😭
@@ZachAllenGolf You know what we all love you for - golf. And you made me smile big time with this one.
You're not using the wrench in the proper way to unscrew the bolt????
He is if its really tight and you need lots of leverage.
You are using the wrench in the wrong direction
Great lesson !! Thank you !
It’s all I could think about watching the video 😂
This is basically an ad.
Da fuggggg???
A bit over explained which makes it confusing. Not for me.
