Hi Kyle, love the video and the tone is all malcolm and nice playing. I have the same signature malcolm guitar and a Marshall SC20C 800 lead series studio classic amp. I have seen guys getting the great malcolm sound like yourself . Are you going straight from guitar to amp, and what are your settings on your amp please as I am getting very frustrated anything I try doesn't work. I would really appreciate knowing your complete up . Thanks Geoff
freakin awesome man! Those Dr Dan amps rock.. and going back pre-plexi to JMP 45 and 50 and black flags.. I also have some Vineham classic 60/70's in my SG that rock Pre-1981 ACDC to the extreme.. I like to use the solodallas boost for angus stuff.. Is that Gretsch rocking standard filtertrons or TV Jones classics?.. sounds great.. how about speakers .. they used both greenbacks and later V-30's .. but i love the modern creambacks.. Fantastic stuff!
Thanks! I have vineham classic 60/70s in my SG one sg as well and love them. Grestch has a vintage most likely rewound filtertron pickup that long story short I got it from a vintage parts dealer in the states that said he got it from one of the DC's techs but again no 100% proof but it does sound great. The cab is a 1974 with 25 watt creme backs.
@@bjstein4242 Yeah green backs are great. 65 watters sound great to with this amp. Any cabs higher wattage then your have to push things alot harder to get them to break up.
Have been considering the Gretsch MY model and thought about installing a wraparound bridge like you have done. What make/model bridge is that, and you're pleased with having done that mod? And I'm wondering if or how it chanted the acoustic tone of the guitar?
That guitar in the video is an electromatic not a my signature so it's not hollow so easier to install a wrap around bridge if that guitar doesnt already have one. The one on it though is a Leon Quan bad ass bridge. It works and sounds great though.
Not 100% sure as this is an older video but unless you have an identical amp then my settings are no use to anyone and ears are your best friend ;) one thing I will say is Mal don't run his mids high and usually around 3. I usually find around 3 works nice.
That sounds awesome. Love it
Thanks!
Awesome Malcolm tone man!
Thanks!

Equalization ?
?
Hey, do the Dr Dan amps have PPI master volumes? or are you using an attenuator..?
They can come with a Ppimv if requested. Mine in the videos does and love it.
What was the settings u used for this
