Thanks for the great closeup of the difference. I’ve done crochet wigs and crochet hair extensions myself before and I’m gad to see that it’s the exact same method but on a much smaller, more precise scale.

Unfortunately for me, I have a super small head - so none of the regular wig sizes fit me. I have to use custom made, or try to reduce the cap size myself.

Yes you glue it onto the scalp when wearing.
Hi i had a skin base topper...so much of hair shedding from it...can i use the same method to fill in the bald spots???also i have a doubt...since i am trying to fill in the bald spots in already ventilated topper...does there hole be present and will it damage the skin base if i try to use needle on it again and again???
Does the poly base wig cap have a shorter lifespan than the traditional lace wig cap to ventilate on?
It depends on the ventilation method and the thickness of the skin. A v-looped or an injected hair system can last for similar time with a lace hair system or even shorter. However, a knotted skin base with 0.08mm thickness, for example, can last longer than a lace hair system.

I’m trying to understand the difference. So when you’re pulling through two, then you’re pulling to one the second pull. And the other one you’re pulling through two and then pulling through two on the second pull. Is that correct?
If I understand you correctly, you’ve got it right. If you think of it with a single strand of hair that you make a bend in: for the flat knot you pull both ends of the strand through the loop you make, knotting it over both strands. In the split knot, you only pull one end of the strand through to knot it. That way it’s still secured on one strand but the other one looks like it’s growing from the lace.
