My favourite memory with my last pet? She was a big, spoiled lionhead rabbit named Liona who free roamed our basement. She would only come when called if she felt lonely or you call the word "treats". I found her hiding in her favourite large paper bag and did a little experiment to see if she understood what I was saying:
"Liona, I've found you a boyfriend."
No movement.
"Liona, there's a fire in the house!"
No movement.
"... Would you like a treat?"
POP! Liona poked her head out of the bag as fast as a Jack-In-the-Box to get the treat! XD
Needless to say, rabbits know what words and sounds to associate food with.

When I first saw Kirby 🐇 , he was standing up on his Big Beautiful Paws 🐾, looking at me with his Big Adorable Eyes 👀. He said Please Get Me Out of Here. I did. I Adopted him on 10-5-2021. I Promised Him No Cage Never Again. I Meant It. He was 10 lbs., Now 15 lbs. Ever see a Flemish Giant do Binkies ❓ It's a sight to see. I Absolutely Love when he does the Bunny Flop. This world can be so heartless...A Multi Storey Bunny Processing Factory has been refused thier application in Cornwall...Thank heavens but it kills me that there exists people that would want to do that...Bunnies & Thier Babies are so much more than thier fur and dog food !! It is like a Bunny Holocaust in the world at the moment...I swear anyone would have to kill me 1st b4 they took 1 whisker from my Bunny !!

Im pretty sure I have a flemish giant bc my rabbits only 4 months old and shes already the size of some full grown dwarf rabbits

My cat licks plastic bags and so I make sure thin plastic bags are not available. But thick plastic grocery bags he goes after too.

Will this make a good free roam rabbit breed to chill in my room and living room? Easy to litter train?
Joshua Powers a Giant Flemish would be a great choice for a free roaming rabbit. They are docile, so so easy to litter train (mine picked it up within 2-3 days) and love attention, almost like a cat! No matter the rabbit you get, they all like to chew, so I would make sure you remove wires from places they could reach and “bunny-proof” his/her new space. I love my Giant Flemish so much and would recommend the breed in a heartbeat.

I have a normal sized lion head and satin, and they’re both rescues. They had some trauma from their previous situations and it took them about half a year to adjust. It was so worth it!

@@mummybunny331 They are absolutely inseparable! The bonding took about 2 months, and some minor fights but they really love each other. My family adopted my satin, bobka, after my senior year of high school when I was coming out of an abusive relationship. We both really needed someone to love! They are my furr babies :)

the only thing i worry about getting a rabbit is the chewing of baseboards and the legs of the furniture in my room, especially since i have some antiques. does she chew these things, or are there any deterrents to control what your rabbit chews?
I have a flemish mix and her name is Delilah but I rarely call her that, also call her bunbun as well or bubbas
I got 2 bun buns 6 years ago one is called Mojo and one is called Bailey! I would free roam them around my whole house instead of just my room but we have dogs and cats and I don't think I have the gut to introduce them xD

I’m thinking about getting a Flemish giant but I am just not sure if I have the time for one I heard that they do you take a lot of time and I am still in high school and I only know a few things about them so what’s your advice?
I let mine sleep in a large dog kennel at night with padding and litter boxes etc. and let her out at different times each day to hop around and relax! If you raise one from a young bunny you may be able to train it to be able to free roam your room all day, however, when I leave mine unattended she likes to chew things she shouldn’t, but I rescued her as an adult bunny. So with some training, I feel like you could let one roam freely for at least when you aren’t at school! They are so smart and easy to train so I feel like it wouldn’t be too hard for you to figure out a schedule that works for you both. As long as you’re giving it adequate amounts of time outside of his or her cage each day, your bunny will be happy!

They are great pets, but they do shed quite a bit, especially seasonally.

My bunny does a lot of those too like running round my legs or always demanding pets if I stop letting her she will put her head under my hand to tell me she didn’t give me the permission to stop and when I come home from work and I’m falling asleep and she sleeps sprawled up next to me
Kirby 🐇 does the same thing. When I get up in the morning he will run circles around me until I Feed him. He will jump on the couch, kitchen table and my bed at 2-4 am. Kirby 🐇 will Chew the bottom of my jeans when we watch TV together at night. That means he wants me to Pet Him or give him Treats. I always do. When I go to bed at night he will follow me to the bedroom. Big Time Chewer. 2 beds, blankets, rugs and my shoes. I bought 2 more tent beds. 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. Try Amazon Palm Leaf bowls. Kirby Loves to chew on.💞😜🥰🥕🐰🤗👍

Yes she does shed quite a bit. I would compare it to a cat if you brush them pretty often.

Hi! I have a giant bunny as well and she hasn’t licked me yet 😭 any suggestions? I’m super friendly and loving to her so idk why she hasn’t yet
They mainly lick if they find you salty. As funny as it sounds haha, they lick salty areas. I have a guinea pig and she will only lick my sister
I have read they do not lick for salt. They lick for affection. My rabbit will not only lick my skin but my clothes as well! I think they just become comfortable and trust you and begin to show their love in that way!

I bet Olivia would love to have her eyes rubbed too!! Use your thumb and index finger just rub around around around their eyes-- even over the top of them don't push real hard it just a nice light even pressure...they love it. It's very soothing for them because when rabbits greet each other they lick around their eyes or groom around their eyes. I had bunnies for 18 years so I kind of figured that out along the way.

My Flemish giant is great at free roaming and loves attention she is very sweet
It's actually not unhealthy, I have talked to my vet about it and it just doesn't add any nutritional value. I got rid of it a long time ago because it didn't benefit her, not because it was harmful!

salt licks are not very healthy for rabbits you can give her fruit instead
Salt licks are not harmful, but they do not offer much to rabbits. She does have access to fruit and lots of veggies.
