My friend and I talked about falling in love and the art of what it means to love intentionally. I think Khalid wrote this song with the intention of expressing how his love for someone made him feel as if he was living in this parallel universe.
It’s beautiful hearing a different perspective from a voice that shows raw emotion subconsciously. I’m originally from Colorado, solo traveling to different states and learning to love myself more in these individual places. I went to the beach in North Carolina and was on pure euphoria and felt waves of emotion I haven’t felt feeling earth shaking love for myself. “Nothing feels better than this.” I felt that.
