    I have said this before, from the centre of Manchester we less than 90 mins away from such fantastic varied countryside from the peak district to the lake district and into Wales & the coast. All on our doorstep. Thanks again Mary for another fantastic video. Robert from Manchester

    Naze and clough. Two single-syllable English words to learn today. My thought is that single-syllable words are the oldest. Thanks for taking us along on your hike!

    This trail was such an adventure and it was clear just how much you enjoyed it. I watched this with my eight year old grandaughter who thought the stones looked just like dinosaur's! Thank you Mary xx

    If we could only have 10% of that kind of nature, hiking would be so much better here. I am so looking forward to my 3 weeks of hiking in the UK next year.

    As usual, your videos are beautiful. But the music you select is so perfectly matched, and beautiful in its own right, it makes a very soothing experience for arm chair hikers 😁

      Mary, is that a bright (orange, red?) rain cover on your pack? Is it part of the pack or separate? Do you have a link to it? Thanks!

    • @MarysOutdoorAdventures
      @MarysOutdoorAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is part of the pack which is this one: amzn.to/3uI126i It is also detachable using a toggle attachment.

    What beautiful rock formations you have in the U.K., nature is the best sculptor indeed. Filming in the mist gives it a very mystical feel, very captivating, and the color variation is absolutely gorgeous.
    This may sound silly but how on earth do the farmers round up their sheep when they have such a vast expanse to roam in? 🤷‍♀️
    Thanks for a superb video and escape from routine. 🙏🏻🥰

      So glad you enjoyed it! Not silly question at all, the sheepdogs do a lot of the leg work for sure!

    Nice walk and vLog. Keep them coming, Mary. PS: Do you now use Wireless go for all the audio on the go? Happy?

    • @MarysOutdoorAdventures
      @MarysOutdoorAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much! I use it most of the time, but sometimes when there is no wind or background noise it is much simpler to not use anything. I am mostly happy with them, if too close to each other or in a slightly wrong position they can produce interference though.

    Mary, how did you stage-manage the sheep at 2:45? Perfect timing. Another lively and lovely hike! A quick question: It seems like England has so many cool names for pieces of topography. What is a "naze"? I've never run across this word before.

    • @MarysOutdoorAdventures
      @MarysOutdoorAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know, I couldn’t have timed it better 😂A Naze is similar to a promontory which is a raised mass of land that projects into a lowland or a body of water.

    • @johnalden5821
      @johnalden5821 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MarysOutdoorAdventures Thanks! I think we would call that a "bluff" or a "point" or it might be a "butte" out West. What a cool language we have! I like "naze" because it sounds like "nose" -- in this case a big, pointy one.

    • @mikesaunders4775
      @mikesaunders4775 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Naze can be a variation of Ness, which generally means 'Nose', but not always.
