I have to tell you that I really appreciate the tolerant language you use in your videos, aka acknowledging that your version of modesty may not be everyone’s version of modesty, and that you accept and don’t judge the fact that everyone doesn’t choose to dress modestly, in general. I actually take the non “enforcing”way you discuss your lifestyle and opinions as an example for me in my own life.

I live in Texas, it was almost 95° yesterday! As an Orthodox Jew I dress modestly as well, and summer is totally a challenge!

I live in malaysia and thats is in SouthEast asia, its a tropical country so all year round is summer. in general, asian conservative when it comes to clothing. for my personal experience, cotton wear or anything made of natural fiber is more cooling, i tend to wear long pants, shoes and short sleeves, but have hand cover , so i don't get sunburn on my arms ( both arms have different skin shades, due to driving and the window on one side).
i see alot of tourist wear spaghetti straps and shorts and flip flops and i say to myself " they going to get sunburn" and I notice a lot of them had sunburn with skin peeling off.
mentoswatthehell I’m a huge fan of cotton as well. I have cotton dresses, skirts and shirts that are my summer go-to outfits. I also really like black in the summer, not sure why but it’s very comfortable lol

I honestly feel like I dress more modestly and feminine in the summer! I have been doing a long skirt challenge for the month of June, even though I’m not a Mennonite this video helps a lot!!

I conduct early intervention evaluations. Your daughter’s “E” is waaayyyy beyond her age. I thought my son had great fine motor, but she’s amazing!

I have not been raised christian, but I am a christian now, and I feel like God has called me to dress more modestly. I don't feel comfortable in shorts or short skirts anymore, I feel more comfortable in tshirts than I do in tanktops etc. So I really appreciate seeing your super cute outfits! It definitely gave me some fun ideas!

They are all really super cute!😍 I used to wear pants when I was a little girl but then they just went off the wall and made everything so thin and skinny that I didn't think it was appropriate so I switch to wearing skirts a few years ago and dresses all the time now and love them! Not that I didn't wear them before, but......... I just started wearing them more now and ditched pants completely! I won't even wear shorts! I just really feel God was calling me to dress modest.

As an orthodox Jewish mother I completely relate to some of the challenges of wearing modest clothes! I love your tips on wearing flowing dress/skirt will help keep you cool as well as to vaporize your face with some kind of spray to keep things “under control” lol! One of my favorite thing in the summer to stay cool and modest is to make sure my neck is always uncovered! It seems so basic but when I cover my hair with a foulard/ head covering that touches my neck I am sooooo much hotter!!! Maybe it’s just me 😂 thank you again for this video and showing us so many options to stay cool and dressed modestly this summer! Stay safe and blessed!

Hi Megan! I have been shopping Inherit Co. weekly (ahhh!!) during their lives!! I immediately recognized your dress!! I love this dress!! I bought both the small and medium and ended up keeping them both. The small is more snug and the medium is more loose.. LOL .. I love today’s video, thank you. I went straight to the Inherit website to check out the clothes. I really like the Remy and Joey skirts, which are just my style. I’m from the UK so don’t have to worry too much about staying cool as most of the time it’s more about keeping warm! All the same these clothes are so pretty and practical at the same time.

The pencil skirt/sentiment shirt look really cute, the flowing skirt (with buttons) soft, feminine, and the pinky mauve top I like best "un-tucked" (is that a word?). I've never been a tucker. Long tops add height, shed pounds, feel/look comfy. I'm 5'7". Long tops stretch me to 5'9". If I gain weight no one notices. Think Turtle Sundae! Everything about Evonnie makes me smile. From her hair right down to her cute little shoes. And who could not love THAT HAT! Too cute. TYFS, Megan God bless you and your sweet family.
Even though you are comfy you look pretty! Love your outfits! Another thing I wear in the summer is a long tunic dress that hits right below my knee and a pair of Capri leggings. Super comfy and not bad for hot days!

I loved all the outfits! If you add a belt to the pensil skirt you can tuck the front of the sweater to the belt and it’ll look even more girly without the bulk inside your skirt! 💕 this is a new trick I learned on how to make your outfits more versatile!

Man, I am not modest at all really, but I might just have to shop where you recommended. I'm tall and so many skirts and dresses are too short to be comfortable in. Not to mention my building's terrible laundry machines. So many dresses become slightly long shirts and I hate it....those skirts look a good length with some room for losing a bit to the wash. I swear modern women's dresses are made for people five feet and under, never thought this would be my conclusion watching this vid haha. And I appreciate the tolerant way you speak- I can see that you truly do your spirituality the way that feels true to your beliefs, and it's not about control of others. You explain things well too. Thanks so much for your tips, Megan!! Dressing modest with kids and heat both is definitely a challenge! But those tips are so helpful, especially about thicker fabric but less layers! Inherit Co is one of my favorites for clothes too! Pencil skirts don't work with my hips, but some of the floor length denim were life savers during a winter pregnancy because a) warmth without boots or tight tights! and b) stretchy waistband! Thanks for sharing what is helpful with staying modest yourself! I appreciate that!
Ps. Kosher Casual has great light-weight half shirts that are awesome under a little-too-low neckline without the extra layer over your tummy. Awesome with nursing dresses especially because it cover but is easy to reach for nursing!
You always look modest, feminine, and pretty! Great positive energy and you seem to be doing a great job teaching your young children. I love your channel and this was a great idea for a video.
I love your videos. Your outfits are always so cute and well put together. I would like to caution you when using scissors on your dog. As a dog groomer I see a lot of dogs get cut an injured from home grooming. I would suggest investing in a metal comb and a slicker brush if you don't already have them. You want to use the slicker brush first and then go back through with the metal comb so make sure you get out any tangles and knots. Also when using the scissors trying to make sure you put your hand in between the scissors and the dog's skin or you can even use the metal comb in between the scissors in the dog's skin. Sorry I don't mean to sound harsh it just always makes me very nervous.
I haven't cut her yet, but I'll have to look into those metal combs.

I have been wanting to make modest dresses and skirts my normal way of dressing for a while; this video really made me more confident in the change. For my birthday “wish list” I asked my husband for the light blue Remi skirt and the Maddie dress. He also picked out a few more items that he liked as well, including the asymmetrical skirt! I’m so excited to have your styling videos for inspiration.

Thermal water sprays are also good if you don’t want anything heavily scented or you want something with minimal ingredients.

I typically don't dress modestly but I'm studying to be a broadcast journalist and I'll have to start focusing on modesty more, and you're super helpful for that!! The sleeveless tank tops is what I need. I live in Utah so one would think they are super easy to find but that is my number one challenge with dressing modestly. Then there is the challenge of layers when it gets hot.

FINALLY, clothes that fit short people. I can say that because I am also 5'4 and always need petite sizes which are sometimes difficult to find. Love the outfit, very cute!💕

That first dress is a perfect length. I like just below knee best. It’s bendoverable😄. I remember as a kid being so puzzled by how many lines went in an E. I remember struggling with that! Then I’d see a correct E and say “of course I’ll remember next time! But next time I was puzzled again. I was about three. Maybe even four. I finally got it at age 5. 😄. That cake is so perfect I love it.

Love your channel! I sub to Mennonite Mom, you, and Lynette Yoder. Christian, but not Mennonite. I always looked through Pentecostal fashion pins on Pinstagram and IG because it was hard for me to find modest dress and skirt outfits with a bare face. Sounds odd, but it’s hard to find outfits that look nice without makeup 😂 I didn’t know there were Mennonites who wore more... modern(?) clothes until I found your channel! Also, I wish I had your energy, oh my goodness, I love it!

Lovely outfits comfortably practical and stylish! I live in Scotland just did a shopping trip for clothes with my twin daughters of 32! Always have great fun with them since they were babies unusually hot here in East Lothian so cotton dresses useful as you can layer them when its cooler with leggings and cardigans. Top tip for you Megan about skin outbreaks. I was told to eat parsley as a cure for acne so if you can chop this herb up and add to salads salsa and much like it is so easy to grow and tastes fresh. Love your channel and your children are so adorable and smart!

I love that this clothing company uses plus models. One of the struggles I have with buying online is that it looks great on the thin women, but I’m never sure if it will be flattering on me. But seeing plus size women in the styles shows what it will look like on ME!
I loved your outfits; super cute and they look nice and cool too. I tend to dress more modestly than my peers, which can make it a nightmare finding clothing that is appropriate and to my taste. I've sometimes resorted to layering up, but on hot days it's just too much.

Pockets are a must for me. I liked the black top with the off white (?) skirt. Yeah, I don't like showing my arms, makes me feel like I'm not dressed. I used to be Mennonite and we made all of our own clothes. Thanks for the video.
Totally feel that retainer and glasses problem. When my kids were little I used to say "I don't have enough 'up space' to put all the stuff away, where they can't reach them"
And an edit about the kids shoes: 8 years of buying shoes for kids with a little bit complicated feet has taught me, that this is what works best for us, so perhaps give it a try: First check the shoe alone. Bend it, to see if the sole is soft and bendable enough for the little feet. Check if the inlay at the back of the heel is too stiff. Then try the shoes on. Let the kid stand straight, feel if there is to much air on the span, slide your hand down from the span to the big toe (so they can't curl the toe in) if there is one thump width space in the front of the shoe, slide your hand around the the outer side of the shoe to make sure you can't feel the pinky toe from the outside, feel the heel, if the shoes are to wide or narrow. Let the kid run around a bit and look if the shoe seems kind of sloppy or if the kid struggles to walk in it. That's all for the buying part. But it's also important to check their feet once in while when taking off their shoes: Are there any dents/red spots/sores? Do the toe nails start to bend? Small kids are not yet able to point out where something is uncomfortable or hurting on their body and sometimes they literally grow overnight and the next day the shoes are too small.
That's all that comes to my mind at the moment, so perhaps this is useful for you or other young parents trying to find the best shoe for their kids.
Our Big Lots here in Michigan do not carry clothing. I was surprised to hear you say you bought shirts from there.

I love your style! I dress modestly as well - it can be hard to find the right outfit, especially since I'm a very large gal (your height but probably twice your weight). I understand you small-size gals can find it hard to find appropriate styles as well. I'm with you on comfort and ease - there's no reason to be uncomfortable, especially if you're a busy mom or have mobility issues. For us larger gals, Woman Within has been a great resource, and of course I frequent the thrift stores.
Megan, I remember from one of your videos you showed a "skirt lengthener" - a sort of petticoat that peeks out from under your skirt but doesn't make it look like "it's snowing down south" as we used to say. I've never seen such a thing before, would you mind discussing it a bit in a future vid? (I like longer skirts, but tend to trip myself when going up stairs - not fun at my age, when carting in groceries!)

I dress modestly too, but no skirts, long pants, and I'm usually in a t-shirt. I was LDS (Mormon) for about 10 years on and off. They dress really modestly, so I fit in, and didn't need to buy new clothing, except a few skirts for church.
