    In an emergency we needed it and it was a BIG FAIL! 2HRS TOTAL TIME ON A FULL BATTERY. USED ON OUR REFRIGERATOR. RECHARGING WITH SOLAR PANELS 13 HRS OVER 3 DAYS ONLY 4BARS. 6 BARS IS A FULL CHARGE.

      A actually brother ! It’s a great generator ! I hook up fans , loud speakers , skill saws etc !! I’ve had other generators and this works amazing . So yeah anyway . This guy talks about not a lot of videos, it could be many reasons , this guy seems likes he hates the patriots for some reason . Anyway don’t let this guy deter you ! 100% money back guarantee for 365 !
      He’s lying about 10hrs of power lol ! Anyway. This guy is all over place and there are wholes in his facts! I love it and enjoy it !

      @@leosuarezjr8479 I get what you're saying. But after looking around for other generators, I settled on the Ryobi. Interchangeable batteries, low cost and good enough to run my big kitchen fridge/freezer during a blackout. The only other thing I could have wished for was a solar hookup. But, I can make one of those easy.

    At around 2:30 and there after you seem to be confused about the differences between watts and watt hours. With all due respect I’m only telling you this because you’re doing a good service, with the platform you have, helping people navigate to something better. However, it’s important to understand 1800w has nothing to do with how long a power bank will last. A common analogy about electricity is to think about water flow. If you have a bath tub full of water, the amount of water stored in the tub is your watt hours, the flow, is your watts. If there wasn’t a city water line around and you were using the tub of water to put out a fire. The bigger the fire the more flow you would need. A water gun like stream of water isn’t going to help put the fire out, even though you would be able to use it longer. You need a fire hose sized to drown it out. But the capacity of the water in the tub will depend how long you’re able to keep spraying water. So in the case of the 4patriots 1800w power bank, it’s possible to have a small tub with a large 3” drain. Or small battery pack with a large inverter that can output 1800w. The way it was marketed was completely wrong and takes advantage of ignorant consumers thinking they can power a house hold fridge for hours on end. In reality the 4pat 1800 was just a small power bank to keep your phones, laptops, tablets charged with the ABILITY to power a fridge, if you had to. Everyones refrigerator is different so none of them pull the same output. It really wasn’t even that long ago when the first power banks were coming out. They sized the inverter proportionally to the size of the battery. Many people thought these 300-500w inverters were useless because it came with a 120v plug but you couldn’t power something like a 1200w keurig coffee maker, or a toaster, or a fridge. So I think they were cramming larger inverters with small battery packs so they can market it as easy to carry, powers high drain appliances like coffee makers and fridges. Anyway, if you can’t find the watt hours listed easily in the specs, best bet is to stay away from it. Some other important things to consider when buying a solar generator is how are you going to charge it. Some, not so good ones, don’t let you charge while you’re using the unit to power something, that’s not any good. Some limit the solar charging to under 200w solar. You could run the battery down twice as fast as it takes to fill up. Some power banks come with multiple ways to charge but limit you to only 1 way at a time. I like that ecoflow has an ultra fast charging mode when plugged into ac power. But if your plugged into ac it shuts of dc charging. I have a small 800w propane generator I use to charge it up real quick and I can turn off the propane generator to conserve fuel. However, bluetti appears to come with slow charging speeds, but you can use all the charging outlets to charge from a car, from ac, from solar, and charge through the USB-C port all at the same time and be completely charged in under an hour from completely dead. Everyone has got to research before they buy anything.

      Tony what solar generator do you have and what sizes do they make? I need one where I can charge it while it charging items inside my house. What do you think? Any advice

    • @Tony-sy7ed
      @Tony-sy7ed 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Iv held off from getting something more ideal because the technology has been evolving rapidly since this video. I waiting to see where it settles, luckily hurricanes and other power outage events have been pretty calm lately. However i’am looking hard at some offerings from Bluetti. Currently I’m still using 3 different, older, 1800w power banks, and a couple 600w, instead of 1 bigger unit. My thought was if 1 unit failed I have 2 more to keep necessities going. I don’t know what your necessities are but at the very least, if your taking it seriously, I’d be looking at the Bluetti Ac300. It’s a large unit but still manageable to be portable, so you could take it on the road tailgating/camping. You basically buy it in sections because it’s modular. The inverter is a stand alone unit that puts out 3000w continuous and up to 6000w surge. There is no battery inside the inverter so you will need at least 1 b300 battery to use it, you could stack up to 4 batteries for a total of 12,300wh of storage. You could connect 2 sets in parallel to put out 240v. To take it on the road you could disconnect the inverter and 1 battery, leave the other 3 batteries home. The Ac500 would be better putting out 5000w continuous with the same modular stacking design. Up to 18,400wh of power storage if you were to max out the stacking batteries. Both the Ac300 and Ac500 have UPS capability. So you could keep the unit plugged into wall power and the power would bypass the battery and send power to something you never want to power off. Such as a desk top computer so you don’t lose a big report your working on, or you could have piece of mind if you’re on a road trip and you have your refrigerator plugged in to the unit. The house will lose power but you won’t have to rush home to keep your food cold. The Bluetti Ep800 and 900 is a more permanent whole home backup solution. Still modular as you can buy and stack batteries over time so you don’t have to buy 1 big unit now, but it’s not portable. With any of these examples I would size an appropriate ROOF top solar array so your not turning your yard into a mini solar farm.

For me I simply use four Die Hard deep cycle marine batteries from my boat, four $40.00 30 watt 1.6 amp small solar panels connected in parallel to a solar controller used to charge the batteries which are connected to two 1500 watt pure sine inverters. @titanpreparedness  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad i could help and glad you didnt make a choice you might regret. Feel free to email me with any questions but a few quick tips, for this example lets say you are powering a average fridge
      1. Make sure the out put is 500watts or above. Fridges have high starting watts 350watts-500watts and then drop lower. Avg is around 350watts but extra output is better incase you have something else plugged up.
      2. The larger the Watthour (capacity) the long the device will run. Ie 768wh (4 patriots 1800) is less than 1612wh(4 patriots 2000x) and both are less than 3600wh (eco flow delta pro).
      3. According to renogy (link to article below) the average fridge consumption is 102watts per hour.
      So according to this if you have a unit that is 1000wh capicity, it will run a fridge for roughly 1 day, however on my testing for my fridge my delta 1260wh ran a fridge for 15 hrs roughly 85 watts per hour

      Others say that only electronic that are plugged into a oulet would stop working because of the massive surge in power.
      Either way if thats a concern then you might wanna look into building a faraday cage and putting anything you see as a vauable electronic in there.

    I have one building that is exclusively powered by solar power, so I have an idea of what solar can and cannot do. My problem with solar for real emergencies is: can anyone guarantee bright sunny weather immediately following a major disaster? You can buy a premium inverter generator for far less than $2500, fill a couple of gas cans, and have several days of power on tap regardless of weather. Use your solar first, then have the genny as an ace up your sleeve if needed. No way I'd invest big bucks in a solar generator before buying a generator first. Just my opinion though!

    • @titanpreparedness
      @titanpreparedness  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I can agree with that. I have some solar generators because i saw what happened in PR after Hurricane Maria- 1 year without power. The solar stuff would come into play for long term things if you couldnt get fuel but your right 2500 for something that will need recharging daily is a big pill to swallow especially when you could buy a real generator plus a ton of fuel for that price

    They seem to be out of stock often, but my Okmo has done well and we use it a LOT.
    But those solar generators do have limitations. They can’t do big stuff for more than a couple mins. Phones, tablets, flashlights, string lights, fans, and even small freezer are fine

      I can agree know the limits. Thats what i dont like about this one is it overestimates the limits. I know my delta will power a fridge/freezer for about 12 hrs but some how they guess their old unit thats half the size will run one for 20

      The river would power the TV but not the fridge
      The delta 2 would power the fridge and it's only 529 currently.
      The only problem with the delta 2 is size 1kw isn't a lot for the fridge. I have a playlist called ecoflow Fridays where I plugged the delta 1300 to my old fridge it ran for 8-12 hrs so you would get similar results
      If I was you I would get 2 delta 2s or 1 delta 2 max at least

Have put in full use when hit with 2 power outages from storms. Both lasted 18 to 24 hours. Held charges. Had it been for longer outgage times, I would easily rotate them for re-charging. They work perfectly. One each designated for freezer, refrigerators, appliances, and office computers/printers, display screens. Cannot do without power even for a day. They are EMP-proof in faraday bags. Could have bought gold, silver, other investments, but portable solar generators are to me worth their weight in whatever you choose. The purpose of this video isnt to say that the 4 patriots dont work but more so what could you have gotten for the same price. 1 1800 is 2500 and if you are happy with your purchase then awesome but in total thats 7500 spend (maybe they were cheaper a few years ago i dont know) for a total of 300 watts of solar and 2304 whs capicity. 1 eco flow delta 2 max is 1899 (1699 as of today sale) with a 2048 wh capicity. 2 of thes would be $3800 4096 whs (1792 wh more). 110w solar panels Are 400 (299 toadys sale) so 3 of those. $5000 ( 4298 todays sale) would get you almost 1800 more wh over what you currently have with the 3 1800s and would have saved you $2500. Thats the purpose of the video. These units are also very portable and can be moved around the house easily

      Hi. The week after hurricane Beryl Hit Houston. I ordered the 1800 that came with the small buddy. It kept being delivered times, there weren't very good directions, I had no idea really what I was doing but a friend came over with his 2000 during the hurricane and it was all set up and I used it for a day. I was impressed.
      1800 generator showed up. I charged it. When I unplugged it from the wall that front panel doesn't show the bars anymore and it doesn't tell me what wattage I have or what's being used. So then I came to you tube and started looking at these reviews and felt really stupid that I spent so much money on something that may not be working.
      Now I'm incredibly overwhelmed, especially since they're saying there's another storm out to sea. As a grumpy old veteran have I made a huge mistake? I know the solar panels are not going to work during a hurricane when the sun's not out. I just needed something in the house for a light, fan charge my phone. Maybe the internet. I'm not looking to keep a refrigerator going for a few days. The fact of pulling the refrigerator out to get the plug is a tad overwhelming for me.

There are resources both for free and nominal charge that will walk you through this process. If space is not at a premium you can get larger 100 watt panels, if space is a premium you can search for smaller panels that you can wire in parallel to meet your power input needs.

With the expansion battery hooked up, Ran a large refrigerator non-stop for 2 days 7 hrs. That's almost 2.5 days, sure I have other solar generators actually all three Oupes Mega series, Mega 2, Mega 3 and Mega 5 each with an extra expansion battery. Although the Patriots 2000x has less capacity than each of my Oupes Mega series it draws down less energy when its on. Which gives it longer than normal usage when using an expansion battery.

      All Mega series (M1-M2-M3) with an expansion battery will out last the Patriot 2000x with an expansion battery. However, The Patriots 2000x with an expansion battery still does well.
      I have these four Solar generators, Although the Patriots 2000x has its Short comings it's still a good Solar generator. Very user friendly, AC Inventer has low draw down when in use as opposed to Mega 3 and Mega 5 they draw a lot of energy when AC Inventer is on. Not so much with the Mega 2, the AC inverter draws much less in which helps Mega 2 last very long when in use.
      To be honest, I had questioned myself a few times for buying the Patriots generator, now I don't and am very happy I bought one. After learning the Patriots 2000x strengths, See how valuable it is.
      Now with the OUPES Mega series, Very happy with them but they do have a couple of short comings. Overall, I feel everyone needs a couple of good Solar generators and lots of Solar panels. It doesn't do any good to have a Solar Generator without a proper Solar panel system to charge them when the grid is down for long periods.
      Good luck and may we all survive what is to come, the future doesn't look good, people please prepare.

    Lion Energy makes the new 2000X solar generator, and you can review their products (it will have a different name but the same guts) and see their reviews. They did NOT make their previous chonese made junk 1800. I have one but bought it at half off, and this was before I knew all the reviews, but since then, I've bought Bluetti. 4 Patriots is hyperbolic, but I ended up buying the extra accessories from Lion Energy and saved a lot from no longer buying from 4 Patriots.

    Love this video! 👍 👍. Interesting how their ads always RUSH YOU TO BUY their products IMMEDIATELY before they're gone, lol 😆 🤣. Anytime an Ad RUSHES YOU... RUN ALRIGHT 😉 FAR, FAR AWAY!
    I DO HAVE A QUESTION PLEASE: With many of the newer PORTABLE POWER SYSTEMS they use cell phone applications to assist controlling their systems. IF THE DELL TOWERS ARE DOWN ARE YOU LIMITED TO USING YOUR PORTABLE POWER STATION'S FUNCTIONALITY? Or can you TOTALLY use all of its functions still? I've stayed clear of several great Deals because of the reliance on a Cell Phone Application. Could you maybe do a video addressing this topic. I'm certain others would be equally 💯 interested in knowing what impact No Cell Service might play with their PORTABLE Power Stations. AGAIN, THANKS FOR YOUR 👍 CANDID AND GENUINELY INFORMATIVE REVIEW.

      Excellent question. My ecoflow delta pro can connect to my phone via internet service. It can work independently without internet access and works perfectly fine without it.
      Its more of a benefit than a requirement. If I do connect it to internet I can monitor the input output and control the circuits. Without internet I can monitor all the same things from the front screen. Hope this helps

      @@titanpreparedness Yes, your reply very much helped. You answered a pressing question for me. Because of your answers I will HIGHLY CONSIDER an ECOFLOW. I don't require much Portable Power but I don't want to be without the correct available amount when I do need it. Mainly for "tailgate-style" one dish foods using only Low Watt travel appliances INSIDE MY VAN (rainy day camping weekends or when traveling between destinations) for camping, kayaking, fishing trips. I'm not a Van Lifer, I simply enjoy a good camping trip from time to time Rain or Shine. Again, thanks 😊!

    I kind of figured that they weren't a good deal because they use the name "For Patriots". I am a veteran and a patriot, but I don't buy something just because they use the name Patriot or any such thing, especially when they try to use fear to sell it. Knowledge beats fear every time.

    if you lose power for more than 24 hours, you will have more important problems to deal with than your fridge and your CPAD machine because you're probably in some Katrina level or disaster.
    If it's a small disturbance, then just keep your fridge / freezer closed , and insulate it.
    It can keep a descent temperature for 1 day, maybe 2.

    • @titanpreparedness
      @titanpreparedness  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not sure where you live but sounds like your very lucky to never lose power. Where i live we lose power for a day or 2 at a time just cause the weather is nice. A katrina level eve t is a bit of a stretch but i see where you are coming from. In Most cases the power outage is due to a storm but once that clears then the fridge and cpap are important

  • @chrisapattee

    What do you have against keeping your fringe on during an outage? Do you not keep perishables in your fridge?

    • @titanpreparedness
      @titanpreparedness  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So i have nothing wrong with keeping a fridge on during an outage. My problem is people spend 2000-3000 for the 4 patriots and it might keep the fridge on for a single day when they could have taken that and spent it on a better system and keep the fridge on for a week or long.
      Also i reccomend the cycle system when it comes to running a fridge during an outage. On for 1 off for 2 would extend the power stations dramatically

    • @michaelkneefe8776

      So, if the solar panels are plugged in, I can't run the fridge/and other items continuously.

    • @titanpreparedness
      @titanpreparedness  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      False. The 4 patriots offer pass thru charging allowing you to charge amd run devices but so does every other major brand

  • @Sheryl777
    @Sheryl777 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    We haven't had the product (Patriot's) for long enough to be able to say whether it's a good product long term or not, but after we got it, we did have a short power outage, and so just testing it out for that short amount of time, I was able to run 2 fans since I live in an area that gets hot during the summer and a lot of times during the early fall, and it worked out great for that (so far). We also used the generator to power our fridge for a while, and it worked ok for that too. So with the small amount of time we were able to test it out, so far it worked good (if that helps any). I'd like to add that they DO say that you don't run your fridge off the generator constantly, but run it for say an hour, and then turn the generator off for 3 or 4 hours etc. over and over, but don't run it constantly with no breaks. I'm thinking about maybe in the future buying a small fridge off amazon, because I think that would be a better fit for the generator though.
