Today, we have an important update from MPSC regarding the vacancies for Combine Group B and C exams for 2024, and some exciting news about the upcoming 2025 Forest Service exam. We’ll also discuss whether there will be an increase in vacancies, based on a recent demand letter and an RTI (Right to Information) request.
Let’s dive into the details:
First, there’s a demand letter that has already been submitted for the Combine Group B and C exams for 2024. The demand letter has specifically addressed the possibility of increasing vacancies for both groups. We have already sent an RTI query regarding this, and here's what we’ve found:
Group B (Gazetted posts) - The response to our query regarding additional vacancies is unclear. The records for additional vacancies for Group B are not available at the moment.
Group C (Non-Gazetted posts) - The report confirms that a demand letter has been submitted for an additional 140 vacancies for Group C in 2024. So, there’s a good chance that 140 new positions will be added under Group C before the official advertisement for the 2024 exams is released.
Now, let’s move on to the Forest Service 2025. We’ve also requested information about the 2025 Forest Service exams, and here’s what we found:
The RTI request was filed on December 27, 2024, and we received the information by January 24, 2025. The data indicates that for the position of Assistant Conservator of Forests (which comes under the Forest Service), the records are not available. However, for the Forest Guard (Group B Gazetted post), a demand letter for 144 additional positions has been submitted. This means that the Forest Department will likely have a vacancy increase in 2025, and this will be included in the upcoming advertisement for the 2025 exam.
Looking at the current timeline, it’s highly probable that this advertisement will be released soon, and these additional 144 positions will be included in the official notification.
