    I included the whole solution for fixing the specific jump in the video at 1:36. It's meant only for the curious (you can pause there) but generally you can just ignore it. (That's why the code is on screen for only a second or two.)
    There are more tips in (or coming to) the API documentation of the AnimatedCrossFade. The most general tip is to have the two widgets (firstChild and secondChild) unconstrained in both dimensions. Then you don't need to use layoutBuilder at all.

      Thanks, I've seen that jump a fair bit, so that's really handy, glad I watched the video even though it's a widget I knew about 😊

    Can you guys share the code for creating the "animated crossfade" on the end of the video where the blue background and white text invert colors?

    Flutter is like: If Angular had a child but it extracted everything good about Angular and got rid of the stupid html psudo programming and instead made their own language out of that. I love it.

    Off topic question: how to format numbers to be comma separated? E.g. 123456789 = 123,456,789

      That’s what I’m wondering. This is almost like the basic functionality of an animated switcher

    How to use this widget for slivers?

  • @sambaotaku
    @sambaotaku 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have problems putting a GoogleMap widget as a secondChild, because the height is infinite, and the solution of the video and a LayoutBuilder or ConstrainedBox.exapand, doesn't work... the only solution for me, is put GoogleMap widget inside of a Container, and call the width/height with MediaQuery.

    • @dennisbarzanoff9025
      @dennisbarzanoff9025 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you need to learn how constraints work and how align widgets make the constraints loose (no min height)

    Just please, don't make it another Java (as a concept, not actual language of course) with a ton of unused and depracated "features" within huge libraries which are getting more and more obsolete with newer versions. Keep it simple and universal, as always since the release. :)
