edit: talking to youtube support to replace it with the fixed version. if it's successful, you lucky(?) few will see these errors below: 1. ONLY the Fading Twilight chart at 8:45 had an error that I missed for the Elegy and Favonius Warbow's burst damage numbers. All the other charts have the correct damage numbers for the Elegy and Favonius, so you can just fast forward to 9:45 for the correct full chart for the in-game showcases. 2. The charts all say 5 stars for the 4 star weapons... Ugh! The 4 star weapons are all in blue... I missed that detail through copying and pasting -_-
my question is that , if i go stringless id have to go for an er sands , but if i go fav bow i can go hp sands . so which would be better ? my stringless is r3 and fav r4 . i personally want high dmg with a decent uptime .
@@adrianaron9639 event weapon is suitable for you I think it has some dmg capabilities also er as substat But fav is overall better, good uptime and support capabilities
We got a fully HP scaling Bow user... This brings us closer to the day when the Bell will be on TOP of some character's weapon options. I'm so lucky to have it at R6!
This yelan girl is probably one of the best F2P friendly 5 star in the game. She create energy, she give a lot of damage off field (just like xingqiu), very easy to build because HP% useful for her, and her playstyle is pretty satisfying too.
She is pretty decent and easy to build because of her scaling but she isnt really an upgrade to xq and more of a sidegrade for existing hydro 5 stars. Yelans hydro application isnt perfect like xq or childe for pyro dps. For freeze comps, ayato for aoe, mona for extra dmg, kokomi for heals which she couldnt provide. She may shine on taser comps though.
@@kenzacharyrodriguez2591 and even then, she can't replace Xingqiu in the popular Beidou/Fischl/Xingqiu/Sucrose team because his defensive utility is crucial. But still, she's one of the best units to come out in a while and actually works wonders when paired with Xingqiu, making use of his C2 and potentially allowing both of them to use crit weapons
I searched your channel 3 mins ago looking for just this video, and it wasn't there, then I went back to my home screen and you uploaded it. Perfect Timing!!
For those who need "recurve bow" and already fed it to other weapons ; rest assured, there is a npc in ritou docks named "nakano" (soldier with spear) who will give you one once you chat with him. Unless you have spoken to him, you wont spend much time on chest RNG :))
I'd pick fav warbow coz it gives a lot of ER, and paired with 4pc emblem, I can focus on her crit ratios especially on a HP sands which is so much easier to get than ER sands with double crit lines.
plus it's the best looking bow on her 😎 I notice a trend forming, fav weapons are arguably the best for her and Shenhe in their teams and their color schemes actually reflect that
This is the way I'm building her too! An HP% sands Hydro % goblet and Crit dmg Circlet makes her such a great dps and support! Can't wait to triple crown my Hydro Mommy ❤️🥰
Alas, all the lemmings on this channel will continue to think that since the author puts out numbers and lists his calculations, that it is somehow valid. If your test approach is fundamentally wrong in the first place (as is common on this channel), it doesn't matter how well he states his numbers. The equation is wrong in the first place.
@@songrunner3027 the equation being wrong how? he just didnt account the burst uptime as its very dependant on the characters artifacts, the damage numbers are as correct as it gets and its a useful baseline
@@jimmybean2509 Maybe the equations not wrong, but I think all of weapon choices must have same ER (maybe around 200), so if all of the other bow weapon using ER sands, the Favonius/Elegy of the end can use HP sands.
I think this underrates the favonious warbow a bit. The massive ER boost lets you refocus your subs on more crit and/or run a HP sands and the white particles are a really powerful contribution to energy hungry teams. It's a solid 4 slimes in actual gameplay IMO unless you're running double hydro for more energy.
The showcase is more on maximizing personal DMG while using EOSF set, so you're actually gaining enough particles for your rotation with just the artifact set bonus and substats, while also stating the fact that he mentioned that it's an on-field Yelan. And I assume that he's already using HP% sands here so that's that. Needless to say, Fav WB is a great weapon for team support Yelan especially if you're running artifact sets that's not EOSF.
This channel has a reputation for being a joke in the meta community. Just wait for KeqingMains to come up with the real numbers, and you'll see they will be quite different than what's here. This guy doesn't take into consideration ER requirements for Yelan, and getting her burst back up in time for her next cycle. The calculation should have been two Yelan cycles and take the total damage divided by the total time for the true number. If Yelan is floundering around for 20 seconds waiting for her energy to return, it will dramatically lower her dps.
The ability to use an HP sands doesn't necessarily put it ahead of other bows. For example, with an R5 Stringless, you can go with energy regen sands, plus an hp goblet, and the Stringless will provide DMG about equal to a hydro goblet for most of her damage (not the charged shot). With the Recurve Bow, you're getting hp% from the bow, so that offsets the energy regen sands. That said, I would agree that Favonius is better than those two, at least for a C0 Yelan (which this list is for), since it also provides particles for both her and the team. Wouldn't go so far as to say four slimes, since I think Elegy is both properly rated and a better choice overall, but I would put it at a 3.5, as the best four star option.
He doesnt need to rate it that high since Elegy exists. Elegy outclasses favonius in every way and like he said she does so much dmg herself theres no reason to sacrifice all of her dmg for her teammates. Besides you can use fischl or raiden to funnel ER....
Sacrificial Bow is heavily underrated. Energy recharge sub lets u run hp goblet so means a little more damage. Also it gives u another skill charge, basically c1 Yelan.
fr bro i always use my yelan with sac bow and here's what I do- breakthrough barb, skill, burst, breakthrough barb, skill and normal attacks. this deals so much damage that i, with a 40:120 crit ratio yelan am surprised. i hit the same numbers as this guys stringless and this crit ratio is because i hit ar 45 only two days ago lol. but anyway, sac bow is extremely good on her
Nice video as always, but the Favonius warbow should be higher in my opinion. It gives so much ER and so much help for the team... even if it doesn't do a LOT of damage, it is still a really great option for damage output, and it has a unique utility for your team
the thing that people don't realize about favonious is that without it you basically need to run an ER sands instead of HP (unless you are using her with another hydro or raiden). So it's damage isn't really that different overall if you want to have good burst up time
@@pandie_6 unless youre like me who put her in the same team as xingqiu in my hu tao team. and xingqiu charge her ultimate as well (and yelan charge xingqiu’s ultimate too so i can use primordial jade cutter on xingqiu for more damage 🙂) everytime her burst ran out i can use her burst and xingqiu’s burst right away because of this.
PRO TOP: It is possible to change artifacts on any given character. If you equip a fav bow, you aren't stuck at 300%ER and low damage. You can change ER artifact to HP% ones. This makes fav bow the most damaging option among 4* bows once you adjust your artifacts.
Here we see wintolose; weapon inventory full, cryo regisvine at the ready, thesaurus AND calculator in hand ready to amaze us all with his damage while helping us build our characters
You forgot about Elegy...that should be the 2nd best (for any team that do Vap or Melt for damage due to the additional 160EM buff along with the extra 20% ATK buff for the team from the passive) , but with the Favonius being a close 3rd.
Fav bow and sac bow is being underrated in this chart. Fav bow while does not increase Yelan’s damage but it provides tons of energy for herself and her teammates, it allows her and her team run with less ER and focus more on damage. Sac bow, while a bit more situational, is very fun to used. When fight mobs, you can trigger it’s passive and effectively gain another extra charge for her E. While it doesn’t increases her burst damage, it can double her E and break through barb damage.
The calm and soft voice in the closing statement was really nice we were used to every TH-camr giving an explosive and loud outro so a calm voice for once was really pleasant
Thanks for treating Yelan like an on-field carry instead of a Xinqiu replacement like anyone else does ❤️ She's very fun and reliable and finally made it possible for me to get 36* in Spiral Abyss
Been using Favonius and love how comfortable she is. Her burst is always up. I’m considering trying to roll for C1 though, use Sacrificial, and then have triple dashes after her bursts. Her play style is just so insanely fun
My Yoimiya is hitting 130k on N5 with C0 Yelan (elegy) C5 Bennett (skyward+noblesse) and C0 Zhongli(tenacity) Definitely a huge upgrade from XQ With R5 Rust!!
When I get yoimiya next patch I'm thinking of doing overvape with her (yoi - fischl - yelan - bennett). I've seen some gameplay of that team and very similar teams and they look great I'm super excited
The Bufz Probably. I’ll need to test it, the Yunjin variant gives the full elemental bonus to her ult and Yelan’s damage, plus any attack speed buff feels great on Yoi. Alternatively I could also use C2 Jean for heals and VV
Depending on the team, the overall damage can be way higher with Elegy for the End but that requires a good rotation to make a great use of its buff. Aqua simulacra in the other side it is pretty much straight as regardless the rotation and team you choose damage will still be the same. I would like to pull aqua simulacra but I rather save for Sumeru so I will just stick to Elegy for now.
My Yelan currently use r5 stringless to maximize her dmg output with xingqiu as battery and hydro res shread.. I use tazer/electrocharged team with Yelan as on field carry.. Perform really great!
@@spryzen001 hi, so i was saving for Yelan, probably gonna get C1 and maybe C2 if I'm lucky. I was planning on using 80 wishes on her weapon banner, but since it's not 100% secure I'll get the bow, i don't know if it's worth it. I got the Skyward harp bow from the permanent banner, do you think is worth risking 80 wishes to the weapon banner having the Skyward harp? I'm planning on using her as a dps because she looks so fun to use
@@akey_9655 Only go for the weapon banner if you want both weapons. This is a great banner since its homa + aqua so if you want both of those I say it's worth trying for the bow. Otherwise skyward harp is not bad.
@@Shade1445 Okay thank you, my plan was pulling for Yelan until i lose a 50/50 because if i do i can't get her c6 unless i get her off pity, so if i lose a 50/50 I'll pull for both Yelan and hu tao, so I'll probably give the weapon banner at least a try
11:17 I initially thought what slingshot's passive meant was "Increases ALL damage by 60%", I was so excited, but turns out it meant "Increases the normal or charged attack damage by 60%" lol.
I'm running Favonius Warbow and 4pc Emblem on my Yelan as a support in my Yoimya team. My Yelan is working with 230% ER in order to have full uptime on her burst in my rotations. I would say she needs at the very least 200% along with the white energy procs from Favonius's skill just to keep her burst up unless you're running her with Shogun. I would definitely prioritize Energy Recharge bows on her over anything else otherwise you'll spend entire rotations without her burst. Pairing her with Xingqui to produce even more Hydro particles is an option but doing so is also lowering her damage. She has a passive that increases her Max HP the more elements you have in a party. With 3 different elements she gets 18% HP but with 4 elements she gets 30%. That's too significant for me to want double Hydro. In short, I would put Favonius as damn near her best weapon option as nothing else will give her the same uptime on her burst. Players could manage with an ER Sands but why do that instead of an HP% Sands? You'd miss out on a lot of damage that way.
agree with you favonius war bow makes it more consistent burst uptime.. but if I use xq I make him as a battery for yelan so that I can switch her bow out with skyward harp since I don't have her sig bow yet.. but if solo hydro with hu tao or raiden comp I use favonius warbow for better uptime results..
Bows like Skyward Harp can work but are little more than stat sticks if you're really hurting for Crit Rate. It doesn't offer much more than some of the 3 star options so far as damage or utility are concerned. The jump from 18 to 30% HP is a result of her passive. If you pair her with XQ you lose almost half the HP gained from that passive. That's what I was trying to say. If you run an ER Sands instead of HP% then it's 46% HP you're losing. You're better off using an ER weapon since you're unlikely to get HP% from a weapon. The only one that gives HP% is one of the 3 star options. Xingqui works well with her. I l'm not saying he doesn't. They can actually battery for each other and remove the need to use Sacrificial on Xingqui. I just prefer to make full use of her passive and let another team use Xingqui. The resonance for double Hydro is also not worth mentioning.
I'm using the BP Bow Viridescent Venerer, it gives about 7-9K ticks and 30K E Skill damage. I think this one is also a good option for people who are having problem with getting crit rate up. Edit: It's Talent level 8 only
then i hope you have a good e.r sands. i did testing earlier and viridescent with e.r and hydro cup was very close to favonious with hp sands and hp cup in terms of damage with stats evined out. ideally i believe an favonious woth hp sands and hydro cup will outperform but i havent done testing yet.
@@TheSean89420 Naah ER as of right now for me is something around 150% but I don't mind it since it takes about two eskills to fill it back up. My artifact set is 2pc millileth and 2pc eosf. Also all 4 different elements.
the way you are building her and using her i guess you plan on making her more of an on field presence then most. that would work in a freeze team woth ayato and 2 cryo where you alternate constantly to keep enemies frozen or evin a tazer team could work but used in a team woth a greedy dps like hutao and eula you could find issues. anyway its cool to try different ideas and what whatever works 4 you brother
@@TheSean89420 Well I'm using her as a hydro DPS, I'm not confusing her as a Xingqiu for hutao. I'm gonna use her for her dps capabilities. Basic thing being, the misconception of her being 5* xingqiu is limiting most of the people from seeing her capability. But as you said whatever works for anyone. 😉
yeah enjoy yourself is top priority. im seeing mona used often as a support for her greaty helps and i think a bennet kazuha xaingling and yelan team could work well as well. also using raiden in. tazer team could woth fischl would mitigate and energy concerns if you have kokomi that would be a great team
I remember a few months ago, I lookked at the Polar Star and was like "this literally has no character it will ever be bad on, no matter what happens, so I'm pulling for it". I'm so glad that even with a character with unusual scaling like Yelan, this still applies. This let me go for constellations instead of Aqua Simulacra, which yes, is better than Polar Star, but not enough to sway me from my plan!
Underrated comment since all of the prerequisites for the bow can be met super fast - normal attack + breakthrough barb (instant charged shot) + super quick E skill + burst
Used recurved bow allowed me to have decent amount of dmg with of coures with Hydro goblet but i will say Favonius is best weapon for her if u dont have her signature weapon becouse this truely solved her ER problem 100% with 200% ER her ult is alwasy uptime 100% like alwasy is amazing
Tldr, *aqua* *simulacra* bis. Otherwise the free bow *fading* *twilight* for f2p(use *emblem* set for bonus damage) Notable mentions are *recurve* *bow* for hp% Amazing guide tysm iwintolose! Yelan is a metabreaking character.
Sac bow deserves extra points bc her skill triggers a coordinated attack with her burst. MEANING, you can burst, skill, one normal attack, breakthrough barb, and then skill AGAIN, one normal, barb shot. Youre activating her burst many times in this rotation and throwing in those strong barb shots too, I expect that we’ll see more ppl utilizing this as time goes on
I think all the rating is set on what damage per skills and attack each weapon do and no what is the best weapon for a set rotation. But you are right Sac should be above to any other energy recharge weapon. I tested Slinshot with 180 ER and it was enough for a rotation with Baal.
Agree on this. I dont know but it feels sacbow gives more skill dps and energy. its fun doing vapes with diluc's skill and hers. needs proper coordination though
The combo is clunky, more investing on her NA talent, and too much fieldtime for proccing her burst by herself which you can do with your main DPS anyway. Not to mention that proccing Sac bow's passive is not as easy as Xingqiu since he hits twice with his E, yet you get less ER than Fav bow.
Im praying to get yelan's bow, aqua simulacra as a f2p player. idc if the weapon banner is a scam but it does do luck, i wish i will get it so my yelan will be deal great damge
Great as always. Yes for damage and wanting her to be onfield i do agree with this but as a low constellation user, I would prefer Elegy over aqua. As most of her dmg is on her Q and not having it up off cooldown is so painful plus shes on emblem. plus the teamwide atk buff to benefit raiden and hutao (plus EM in this case) Considering aswell that on rotations, I would never be able to get another E after 10 secs of cd, the ER requirement would be quite high unless u have C1 and do E Q E(quick) on her or have raiden/fischl in the team
@@Crazmuss depends on what you're trying to do. If you just want a hydro applicator bot than yes, you need her C2 to be as good to XQ. But if you want damage, its not even close. Yelan is miles ahead of XQ
@@alexanderfebriano4269 you can't be a user of what have no uses. Yelan is not ahead of XQ in terms of damage, XQ can hit 200k with his E twice, his ult deal about same damage with Yelan, exept he shots 5x swords. And his E damage is faster. And his Q activation is faster. Yelan is just trash.
@@Crazmuss or maybe, the reason people like Yelan is not because she's the better Xinqiu, but because finally have "2 Xinqiu." So we can use our favorite team comp. That have Xinqiu as the core element

@@S_M_O Only from mondstadt chests and there’s 1 from talking to a guy at inazuma. If you accidentally used it up while upgrading another weapon before then you can never get it again
I just want to add that the Stringless matches Yelan's aesthetic perfectly, what with the blue 'string' matching her Hydro wires. Gotta at least be a 3.5*.
I think you should have set ER requirement to make her burst every rotation (you can assume Raiden/Double Hydro/Another Fav user as long as you stated it). It'll be more accurate and Fav bow is actually rated higher because it can easily meet the ER requirement while other bow will sacrifice HP for more ER. Overall, it's a good comparison but I'd say Aqua and other crit weapon is overrated a bit while ER weapon is a bit underrated.
Yelan seems to need a lot of ER. Wouldn’t it of been more fair to use a ER% time piece on her when comparing the aqua simalacra and vice versa with a hp% on the ER weapons (which I think you did but not sure). This makes the aqua out to do a lot more damage but in practice it could be different cause of burst up time.
I believe its depends on your team comps. If your teams consist another battery for example Xingqiu or Raiden, then the energy requirement should be as minimal as possible to maximize Yelan personal damage. But if your Yelan roles is support (Hydro application for HuTao, Yomiya, Xiangling) or there's no other battery in your team then yes, ER stat should be prioritize for practical usage.
whenever i feel like i am stuck in the game or planning to pull a character or simply just want a guide and want to see kit of any character and want it to be in details, i come here- he is just too respectful, easy to understand and clears my ever doubts like my teacher LOL
Great Guide and I love how you include the Fading Twilight since a lot of other CC just recommend Favonius. Fading gives you more DMG If you C1 Yelan (I know it's highly not possible but if you somehow got lucky & still have extra Primogems) the Favonius actually gives us too much energy than we need
Honestly i strongly disagree on terms of evaluation because you are just taking damage output into consideration to measure them until u mention Elegy(being that said, support skills of the bow should have not being considered into rating). Favonious not being the "best" at making damge is a sure thing but, its the best at making sure u do get ut Q back maintaining a high damage cuz of the emblem ER buff.. wich is kinda my point... u just cant do a good rotation on 150% ER on a C0 yelan on teams like hutao ones with those 5 star bows unless u kill 3-4 foes with E.. it will work with Raiden but who doesnt work with her? if u cant get ur Q back theres no point on measure damage cuz ur loosing dps waiting to get another E to charge up wich is not optimal at all... i dont think u should drop the rate for those 5 star bows but get a higher rate for Fav(at minimum 4 slimes, displaying it at the best not 5 star one, wich it is all around and have been proved by a lot of other ppl aorund the the community). I have tested this extensively myself also, being Fav r5 even better and easier to build with than Aqua...that of course its her signature weapon but its designed to make you need her c1 cuz she does lack a lot ER(around 180-190% minimum being the only hydro on team with no raiden), or forcing u to get an ER clock with GODLY substats with high rolls, and good luck getting a GODLIKE ER CLOCK on emblem set. i have being 3 months farming it frecuently and i have 2 decent with CV near 15-20. Im a data and indicator analyst at a bank and i honestly love ur videos a lot cuz u bring plenty of data.. but this video just had some big mistakes as methodology itself of the showcase and not showing the potential of her best f2p weapon over all misleading ppl to see Aqua at her best over all.
Thank you for your nerdy maths and spreadsheets. I’m moving my Yelan to my r5 mouns moon immediately. I meant to try it out, and now I know it gets more dmg than the stringless
Remember, sacrificial bow at R5 can reliably reset the lifeline skill. Add this to the fact that the skill can refresh breakthrough barbs and trigger the dice coordinated attack. With EoSF it's very OP. Q -> E -> NA (6 coordinated attack in 1 sec) -> BTB -> E -> NA (another 6 coordinated attacks in 1 sec) -> BTB -> Change to other character. By the time the dice is over, 90% of the time the burst is already full.
EOSF, though it's unclear whether if it's ER or HP sands but I'm inclined to believe that it's HP since EOSF on an on-field character with ER substats on every piece should be enough for a consistent burst rotation.
seems like they're using EoSF, which is recommended but also harder to farm a complete set even if you use something like Elegy, it's +55% ER * 25% = +13.75% damage but on top of all other elemental and burst bonuses, that additional damage would have diminishing value if you have 220% ER * 25% = +55% and +45% Hydro cup = that's +100% (or 200%) burst damage 200% / (200%-13.75%) = 107.3%, or +7.3% and with additional other bonuses on top from other sources, that value can diminish even more
@@tkmk_neu but the question is: how do you get 200 er without a bow with er substat? By having er on artifacts either as substats or on your time piece, but if you do that then you sacrifice crit/hp rolls, so to get them back you have to use a stat stick like aqua simulacra...
ah, sorry 220 was incorrect, I was actually calculating for 200% ER 100% ER base + 20% from EoSF + 55% from weapon + maybe 25% ER from artifacts, which isn't much ER from artifacts but that's just my point, ER don't give that much damage boost even with EoSF, an additional 55% ER boost your burst damage by +13.75% which diminishes by half to around 7% if you add all other bonuses... but if you choose a crit-based weapon you'd get an equivalent of 33%+ crit-rate (Polar Star) or 66% crit-damage (Thundering Pulse) which boosts the damage of your kit (not just your burst damage) by around 20% more you'd just want your ER to be at a comfortable level with no downtime... if you can fulfill that, HP% or crit stats still increases your damage more... EoSF is a good choice if you can maximize it as you get a base boost of +20%ER and +30% burst damage but using EoSF doesn't mean choosing an ER weapon works better for damage but Elegy or Favonus' additional utility is what makes them really good choices
If you use ER sands with non ER weapon then ER weapons (except the new ivent weapon, it doesn't have enough ER) will be much better than in your calc. If you don't use ER sands with non ER weapons, well, then your Yelan is just useless, because she cannot ult. Sorry for my English.
Wait until theorycrafters come up with optimal team combs like double hydro with xingqui. Yelan at c2 barely needs more than 140 ER. With xingqui she doesnt need any ER for her burst skill
This channel has a reputation for being a joke in the meta community. Just wait for KeqingMains to come up with the real numbers, and you'll see they will be quite different than what's here. This guy doesn't take into consideration ER requirements for Yelan, and getting her burst back up in time for her cycle.
Elegy's buffs still overtake whatever personal damage increase yelan gets for most teams, I think elegy is her best bow realistically since she's best suited for off field support
If you people want a guide, pick someone else not this guy, all he tested was damage, sure the 3* have hp mainstats its gonna boost the damage but where ER? Most people are low spenders or f2p you cant 1 rotation sh*t everywhere, you need to balance the stats, emblem set is BiS for her which is required ER for more dmg, Fav bow is free and its good for your team too, also Elegy if you have it for team buff
You didn't test the 3* crit dmg bow, which isn't a bad option either. 50% extra crit dmg at lvl 90 and the passive is decent when using Yelan's breakthrough barb on a target that has weak points. Bit of a niche passive, but hey if your HP and ER is good on Yelan but you lack CDMG it's a nice boost.
@@emily163 I'm running 2pc HoD/ToM. 70/180 crit ratio, 170% ER, 30k HP, R5 bow. Talents 9/9/9. Breakthrough Barb hits for about 20k on weak spots and about 40k if it's vaporized. Her burst does about 6-7k per tick as it ramps up over the duration. Not the most optimal build but it's still decent. You probably want more ER on her but it really depends on what comp you're running. I use Raiden with her and find that 170% ER is enough.
@@d3m3nt3d_t3acup_ If you lack CR then sure, that's also a good option for you. But my Yelan already has like 73% CR from artifacts alone, any more than that is losing value for me and I gain more from CDMG. Almost all of the 3* bow options are decent for Yelan, she's super easy to build at low investment.
3.4 coming and that weapon banner is just too good so ill be pulling on the weapon banner for the first time ever aming for both homa and aqua . . . I wish all the luck to fellow wishers
The problem with your damage calculations is that they completely ignore the real ER-requirements of a character making any ER-weapon looks significantly worse than they are in reality due to a non-ER weapon in your chart being apparently perfectly fine with just 100/120 ER. A better comparison would be comparing the opportunity value/cost of a weapon, i.e how many artifact sub stats does it take to fulfill her ER requirements while also reaching the damage output to her best option (R5 Aqua) and in that category a Fav Warbow would beat all weapons except Aqua, Polar Star and maybe R5 Skyward Harp simply because it provides the most amount of raw artifact value being a 41 base atk weapon with a useful substat while simultaneously having a passive that lowers her personal ER-requirements even further thanks to the extra particle generation.
Thats why i only take iwintolose showcases with a grain of salt since he is always been about the dmg and not real combat applications and abyss rotations. Having a fav warbow on her is the best bow aside from aqua since higher refines means faster energy funneling on your team and faster burst uptime not to mention easy to build artifacts around.
Misleading calcs. Unless you’re in a team that’s specifically designed to generate more energy for Yelan or are simply getting a lot more particles than usual from enemies, her ER needs will be at an absolute minimum of 200%. This makes Favonius Warbow extremely powerful, behind ONLY Aq. Sim. and Elegy. Polar Star, and Harp especially, are weaker options.
I agree because from what I also assumed when switching between elegy/fanvious you will need to swap to more ER to keep yelan's Q up and from what many have calculated the damage loss on yelan does is greater than the damage gained to party making favonious the better choice.. so I would say give elegy the 3 slime and the favonious the 4 sime rating
Got myself to raise the Slingshot to 80, I'm gonna at least try it, as I got no luck on Artifact, that 33% CR is priceless for me. Even without fav bow with 4 Emblem I still got 189 ER so it's usable for the bonus damage.
The thing is tho that most of these weapons that increase her damage come at a cost of energy recharge. And she kind of needs that. Like hydro boy. Her best part is the ult. And putting everything on her damage when she can't get her ult up more than once isn't really worth it.
Wasn't really planning on getting Yelan, stopped right after pulling Ayaka, but it had been so long, figured id just toss the 5 glitter ones from the shop reset at it, and 2 in, there's yelan... really fun toon, even though i haven't farmed her up to full level yet..
Using 2+2 noblesse and hod, got +22% hp on noblesse circlet. Easy 60:180 ratio with 35k hp and 176er. Using eledgy(got during venti rerun). Total hp% from artifacts is somewhere around 108%

I missed that detail through copying and pasting -_-
I wait for your video so long thank God
Thank you
my question is that , if i go stringless id have to go for an er sands , but if i go fav bow i can go hp sands . so which would be better ? my stringless is r3 and fav r4 . i personally want high dmg with a decent uptime .
Goddammit, I only wanted to comment about the 5* mark on the 4* weapons 😅

Just R6?

R6? pump that number up bro
I'm waiting for someone who can dual wield my 2 r5 Bells. 😭
This yelan girl is probably one of the best F2P friendly 5 star in the game.
She create energy, she give a lot of damage off field (just like xingqiu), very easy to build because HP% useful for her, and her playstyle is pretty satisfying too.
Yes I just got her and no good weapons are needed unlike yae who I regret getting because I have no good catalyst
Xingqiu
th-cam.com/video/3lUp2C0pS_Y/w-d-xo.html finally it's here..
But still, she's one of the best units to come out in a while and actually works wonders when paired with Xingqiu, making use of his C2 and potentially allowing both of them to use crit weapons
okay but in all fairness if you managed to get 9,999,999 ATK you'd be better off just using her normal attacks
lol true
Yeah, at that point, she'd be the best character in the game if you used her normal attacks
💯💯💯
Kokopium.
But you can’t, so better off using hp for her hydro dmg is the point no matter how you slice it
I searched your channel 3 mins ago looking for just this video, and it wasn't there, then I went back to my home screen and you uploaded it.
Thank you so much! I just spent my 3 stars on refining pjws :)
i read that only mondstadt chests (exquisite or better) can give recurve bow. For most endgame players, that's probably not an option anymore
Thank you
Omg It wasn't claimed yet for me. Phew
And shame on anyone who didn't keep an R5 copy of every 3* weapon xP
I'd pick fav warbow coz it gives a lot of ER, and paired with 4pc emblem, I can focus on her crit ratios especially on a HP sands which is so much easier to get than ER sands with double crit lines.
th-cam.com/video/3lUp2C0pS_Y/w-d-xo.html finally it's here..
plus it's the best looking bow on her 😎 I notice a trend forming, fav weapons are arguably the best for her and Shenhe in their teams and their color schemes actually reflect that
This is the way I'm building her too! An HP% sands Hydro % goblet and Crit dmg Circlet makes her such a great dps and support! Can't wait to triple crown my Hydro Mommy ❤️🥰
Same here it's performing really good and uptime energy in my opinion is just better for as a sub dps
Alos whit any other you will never burts even whit c1
IMO you should consider to include yelan's ER requirement in this chart for more consistent burst uptime
@@songrunner3027 interensting, i hear this before could you tell me more about this?
@@songrunner3027 what's the correct equation?
Needless to say, Fav WB is a great weapon for team support Yelan especially if you're running artifact sets that's not EOSF.
based
This channel has a reputation for being a joke in the meta community.
Yea if you have high refinement it's basically C1 unlocked
fr bro i always use my yelan with sac bow and here's what I do-
breakthrough barb, skill, burst, breakthrough barb, skill and normal attacks.
this deals so much damage that i, with a 40:120 crit ratio yelan am surprised. i hit the same numbers as this guys stringless and this crit ratio is because i hit ar 45 only two days ago lol. but anyway, sac bow is extremely good on her
The sac series at r5 is broken. I prefer them over most 5* weapons.
THANK YOUUUU!!! Like everyone just making support guides, but seeing a COMPLETE guide is what I needed. Awesome as always IWTL!
Now that her rerun is coming up, i really appreciate these videos.
Nice video as always, but the Favonius warbow should be higher in my opinion. It gives so much ER and so much help for the team... even if it doesn't do a LOT of damage, it is still a really great option for damage output, and it has a unique utility for your team
I agree, the up time of her burst is important and her best teams are made with 4 different elements so often there is no other hydro battery.
the thing that people don't realize about favonious is that without it you basically need to run an ER sands instead of HP (unless you are using her with another hydro or raiden). So it's damage isn't really that different overall if you want to have good burst up time
@@pandie_6 unless youre like me who put her in the same team as xingqiu in my hu tao team. and xingqiu charge her ultimate as well (and yelan charge xingqiu’s ultimate too so i can use primordial jade cutter on xingqiu for more damage 🙂) everytime her burst ran out i can use her burst and xingqiu’s burst right away because of this.
if i use raiden in yelan team, which weapon is good for her??
But I can get full uptime with just Fading Twilight
PRO TOP:
It is possible to change artifacts on any given character. If you equip a fav bow, you aren't stuck at 300%ER and low damage. You can change ER artifact to HP% ones. This makes fav bow the most damaging option among 4* bows once you adjust your artifacts.
Alas I have sacrificed hundreds of hp sands to my other artifacts and now when I need them I don't have single one forget emblem one
Yep because you aren't completely wasting weapon secondary stats and passive. It's really not hard to figure out why it's preferable.
Here we see wintolose; weapon inventory full, cryo regisvine at the ready, thesaurus AND calculator in hand ready to amaze us all with his damage while helping us build our characters
iwtl is the saving grace, iv\ve been looking for a guide that actually mention moun moon. FINaaaaaaaaaaaaaly
Sacrificial bow feels really good on her aswell.
Don't forget that having a energy recharge weapon means that you can have a HP% sand, so it's not a bad choice even if you want the most damage
I'd say Favonius is the best after her signature weapon.
You can fit her into any team and burst on CD all the time, AND provide energy for everybody.
You forgot about Elegy...that should be the 2nd best (for any team that do Vap or Melt for damage due to the additional 160EM buff along with the extra 20% ATK buff for the team from the passive) , but with the Favonius being a close 3rd.
R5 Mouun's bow. 150% ER, Raiden National. That's all
Love the theory crafting you make. It always helps me better understand a character and guides me into building them. Thank you for your hard work.
I got Yelan today and this video was suuuuuper helpful so thxxx!!!
I love the Alley Hunter color Scheme, and matches her outfit perfectly

@@Noctis2525 more resilience using geo resonance with yunjin, but i assure you bennett has better boost for yoimiya dmg.
The Bufz Probably. I’ll need to test it, the Yunjin variant gives the full elemental bonus to her ult and Yelan’s damage, plus any attack speed buff feels great on Yoi. Alternatively I could also use C2 Jean for heals and VV
@@Noctis2525 i can say that because i've tried yoimiya yunjin , it went even better if you bring bennett too, its full house baby !
Great work as always! Kept checking to see more Yelan videos from you.
Every Christmas, my dad puts all the bows from the presents on his head, and that beginning reminded me of that.
Yelan: "I'll need that 3 star bow"

My Yelan currently use r5 stringless to maximize her dmg output with xingqiu as battery and hydro res shread.. I use tazer/electrocharged team with Yelan as on field carry..
Perform really great!
R5 stringless also does a very huge dmg with vape, with her eskill could do around 90k dmg
My go to person for genshin tierlists and comparisons! 🙏
I was mesmerized as how attack is completely useless to her. It makes the great overall bow like skyward harp mid tier for her
It still gives 64 crit value to her, so it's still good but having er is better.
@@akey_9655 Only go for the weapon banner if you want both weapons. This is a great banner since its homa + aqua so if you want both of those I say it's worth trying for the bow. Otherwise skyward harp is not bad.

Great video! Can't wait for your complete guide video of her specifically your favorite team comps and the difference her C1 and C2 does.
I probably use sac bow for that double E, so fun! currently trying to pull her c1
I can confirm double E is extra fun
11:17 I initially thought what slingshot's passive meant was "Increases ALL damage by 60%", I was so excited, but turns out it meant "Increases the normal or charged attack damage by 60%" lol.
Awesomely detailed Guide as Always, I used the Stringless on her along with some Pyro Characters and I can safely say that she slaps on that Vape team
I’ve been waiting for this all day I love your vids your the goat🤞🏿
50 er vs 12 hp%= too significant lmao
XQ shreds hydro resistance…they have synergy
So if i running her with raiden,is it worth to use stringless r2?
Great video, as always
Team comps any team comp can work with her since she is an on field presence she can work with fischl, xiangling and qiqi as a healer. I got no qualms with it.

The best dad jokes with accurate information 💯
Sac bow deserves extra points bc her skill triggers a coordinated attack with her burst. MEANING, you can burst, skill, one normal attack, breakthrough barb, and then skill AGAIN, one normal, barb shot.
Youre activating her burst many times in this rotation and throwing in those strong barb shots too, I expect that we’ll see more ppl utilizing this as time goes on
yep, agree. using sac never had me having energy problems, and doubles the fun since you can use the skill twice
@@daydreamer9469 youre usually going to be hitting twice or more with her skill
Finally, the video I’ve been waiting for!
You should have done elemental reaction using the stringless. It gives yelan a lot more dmg
As most of her dmg is on her Q and not having it up off cooldown is so painful plus shes on emblem. plus the teamwide atk buff to benefit raiden and hutao (plus EM in this case)
Considering aswell that on rotations, I would never be able to get another E after 10 secs of cd, the ER requirement would be quite high unless u have C1 and do E Q E(quick) on her or have raiden/fischl in the team
There is no "low constelation uses" for Yelan. She needs c2 be almost as good as XQ. Almost.
@@Crazmuss he said "user" not "uses" bro

From my experience the recurve does much more dps than polar star R1, I am interested in trying out R5 stringless, definitely giving that a shot
How can you get the recurve bow ..?
Watching his videos almost feels like I'm attending a tuition class

I'm happy to have her C0 + FWB R5
One of the best video guide I watched
Scaling chart
Damage output
Hp %
, thank you very much
Yelan seems to need a lot of ER. Wouldn’t it of been more fair to use a ER% time piece on her when comparing the aqua simalacra and vice versa with a hp% on the ER weapons (which I think you did but not sure). This makes the aqua out to do a lot more damage but in practice it could be different cause of burst up time.
Her ER is not that bad due to the 4 particles generated and having 10 less energy cost than Xingqui.
However good point
Many ppl use her with xingqiu anyways so idts what u said will matter with that team
I've tried using her with Mona in a team in spiral abyss and energy is not a problem at all. You just need a healer/shield to tank the damages
I run her with 148% ER on taser team and its inaff

Great Guide and I love how you include the Fading Twilight since a lot of other CC just recommend Favonius. Fading gives you more DMG
If you C1 Yelan (I know it's highly not possible but if you somehow got lucky & still have extra Primogems) the Favonius actually gives us too much energy than we need
i use sacrificial bow on her to cope for not being able to get her c1 due to no primogems ( T_T)
For sure this video help me so much, that im using Amos since i got her, LOL. Thanks dude.
🌸😹It would be a deep dive into her best armament and how one could yield the most efficiency out of her character.😹🌸
Also credit where credit is due, the 6 hits in 1 sec thingy is found by another of my fav genshin youtuber, KokomiClan
What artifacts are being used in this showcase? I m asking because if you are using eosf won't that make all bows with er substat better?
Yes, he using eosf
EOSF, though it's unclear whether if it's ER or HP sands but I'm inclined to believe that it's HP since EOSF on an on-field character with ER substats on every piece should be enough for a consistent burst rotation.
seems like they're using EoSF, which is recommended but also harder to farm a complete set
even if you use something like Elegy, it's +55% ER * 25% = +13.75% damage
but on top of all other elemental and burst bonuses, that additional damage would have diminishing value
if you have 220% ER * 25% = +55% and +45% Hydro cup = that's +100% (or 200%) burst damage
200% / (200%-13.75%) = 107.3%, or +7.3%
and with additional other bonuses on top from other sources, that value can diminish even more
@@tkmk_neu but the question is: how do you get 200 er without a bow with er substat? By having er on artifacts either as substats or on your time piece, but if you do that then you sacrifice crit/hp rolls, so to get them back you have to use a stat stick like aqua simulacra...
ah, sorry 220 was incorrect, I was actually calculating for 200% ER
100% ER base + 20% from EoSF + 55% from weapon + maybe 25% ER from artifacts, which isn't much ER from artifacts
but that's just my point, ER don't give that much damage boost even with EoSF, an additional 55% ER boost your burst damage by +13.75% which diminishes by half to around 7% if you add all other bonuses... but if you choose a crit-based weapon you'd get an equivalent of 33%+ crit-rate (Polar Star) or 66% crit-damage (Thundering Pulse) which boosts the damage of your kit (not just your burst damage) by around 20% more
you'd just want your ER to be at a comfortable level with no downtime... if you can fulfill that, HP% or crit stats still increases your damage more... EoSF is a good choice if you can maximize it as you get a base boost of +20%ER and +30% burst damage but using EoSF doesn't mean choosing an ER weapon works better for damage but Elegy or Favonus' additional utility is what makes them really good choices
good job bro
this video has to become legendary. i didnt know e lan's damage doesnt stack from her ATK
TY
*yelan lacks if energy to perform her glorious lift armpit (elemental burst)
Raiden : Gothcu homie
If I get Yelan I will finally be able to use my r2 elegy when I was pulling homa for Hu Tao. That is only if I do get her lmao
Elegy's buffs still overtake whatever personal damage increase yelan gets for most teams, I think elegy is her best bow realistically since she's best suited for off field support
This video is exactly what I was waiting for! Now I'm going to pull for the 5 star weapon :(
If you people want a guide, pick someone else not this guy, all he tested was damage, sure the 3* have hp mainstats its gonna boost the damage but where ER? Most people are low spenders or f2p you cant 1 rotation sh*t everywhere, you need to balance the stats, emblem set is BiS for her which is required ER for more dmg, Fav bow is free and its good for your team too, also Elegy if you have it for team buff
always looking forward to these comparison vids. slime rating for life
You didn't test the 3* crit dmg bow, which isn't a bad option either. 50% extra crit dmg at lvl 90 and the passive is decent when using Yelan's breakthrough barb on a target that has weak points. Bit of a niche passive, but hey if your HP and ER is good on Yelan but you lack CDMG it's a nice boost.
the 3* crit dmg bow is what i was leaning towards and watched this video for lmao, kept skipping back in the video to see if i missed it
@@emily163 I'm running 2pc HoD/ToM.
@@VictusPrime tysm!
everyone here missing the 3* bow Slingshot which provides more crit value than the Sharpshooter's Oath (62.4 vs 46.9) and boosts Breakthrough Barb dmg
Me who’s been using Viridescent Hunt on her: 😭
It’s already level 90 and been sitting in my bag, but apparently it’s still outclassed by 3 stars
He forgot to mention Slingshot (60 CV) and Sharpshooter (46 CV)
That way you will get more HP% and ER% from substats instead of cr/cd which is rare.
Liked just for the visual gag with bows on Yelan's head. X-D
Jesus, disliked for all the water puns immediately after. -_-
J/k, have the like back.
Damn, who knew losing hu tao s staff of homa to elegy will be ok indeed for hu tao as well
You make my stats prof look like he's teaching basic stats.....i love how you showcase real data on each weapon which not alot of Content creators do
Got myself to raise the Slingshot to 80, I'm gonna at least try it, as I got no luck on Artifact, that 33% CR is priceless for me. Even without fav bow with 4 Emblem I still got 189 ER so it's usable for the bonus damage.
@@Nightvss it does increase the Crit rate up to 31% tho
I've been waiting for this video
Hope you're doing well dude 😊
Perfect video. Thanks man.
The thing is tho that most of these weapons that increase her damage come at a cost of energy recharge. And she kind of needs that. Like hydro boy. Her best part is the ult. And putting everything on her damage when she can't get her ult up more than once isn't really worth it.
great video, thanks for your efforts
As always an amazing guide! Thanks a lot!
Nice job as always, i come to your channle more often now
