Loved your video. It is exactly what I needed in order to experiment with backgrounds on a watercolor painting photo before I painted on the actual paper one.
Glad it was helpful! Enjoy the process of playing creatively! Thank you for commenting also 🥰
About every five seconds, my mind is blown!
I like that you don’t edit out the tries with the different brushes!
Thank you this is such a great tutorial! 😃
Wonderful and helpful!! Thank you!!
That was fun Cristin…thank you so much
this video is so helpful - Thank you for your very pleasant teaching style!
Wow, this is really cool.
Thank you so much 🙏
Thanks for the clear and detailed introduction. I learned with this video a easy way to separate the picture from the background and the using of noise is complete new for me. Give me some cool new ways to work with Procreate. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for this great tutorial. You have given me a lot to think about.
Thank you so much, for the explaining…I’m a beginner and this I’m going to try…love it!!! 😊
Love this video.
I've learnt so much.
Thank you. Purchased the brushes. It was a bit more in Australia but should be worth it
Can't wait to practice.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I hope you enjoy the brushes! I have lots of fun with them.
WONderful tute!!! You make it look SO Easy - thank you BERY much for sharing your brilliant ideas and techniques. The “quiet” time watching you work is both helpful AND inspiring.
I have watched this superb two-tute series again and now feel confident enough to Try to apply these amazing photo manipulation effects on a b-day card portrait for my 17- year-old grandbabe 🥰. Another Procreate skill I would love to learn from you if you have the energy, interest, and time is your approach to the details of cartooning from a head-shot photo - like the line art drawing of you that appears on your website - it captures “you” in a manner the process of which I cannot wrap my pathetically in artistic brain around. For example, how do you capture the person’s personality in line art so the cartoon is recognizable as the person in the photo from which it was drawn? 🙏🤩👏
@@bnyzhny thank you! For the cartoon line art, I just imported a photo of myself and traced over it in new layers above it. To capture the personality, spend extra time on getting the details of the eyes and the eyebrows because that’s where emotion comes from.
As a complete beginner, this was very easy to follow out of all the tutorials I ended up trying!
I loved this tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing 💜
Great tutorial, thank you thank you thank you!!! I thought the only option to make it look as good was photoshop.
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing. I’m looking forward to checking out your Facebook group.
hi! After playing with noise, when I go to change blend mode the figure doesn't appear is completly hidden under the colours. Not sure what I'm going wrong as I'm just following the tutorial.. thanks
I’m not sure if it got cut out by accident during editing, but before playing with noise, make a duplicate layer of your image.
Thank his for your comment Martina. Cos same. So confusing and frustrating
Mine is doing the same thing. I am following step by step, even writing down each step. The picture is not deleted, its still there but when I go to change the blend modes I never see the picture. Help
I am so tickled I found you !! I am going to watch again ... I am a 100% newbie! I will look for your Facebook page next!!! ◇
I love this video!!! I just had one problem. My image is to dark at the end, and I can not see my image very well, any way to fix this?
It’s hard to tell without seeing your layers. I have a Facebook group where we can help - www.Facebook.com/groups/procreatebeginners
This was great, and easy to follow. BUT, When I first made the mask, the color picker circle was white, not black. I changed it...but then could not get the mask to function. I ended up painting on the white layer, rather than"revealing" what was beneath. I kept trying and same thing happened. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
Hi Ruth! When you make a mask layer, make sure you tap the layer that says mask before drawing. If you’re in the layer that’s masked it will act as a regular brush.
Can you get different colours for this
Yes absolutely! You can use the hue slider, curves tool, and several other ways to change colors.
Bonjour je viens d acheter un de vos brush mais je n ai aucun lien pour le télécharger merci
I don’t understand where the duplicate of the girl went. It doesn’t show in the video. But it’s ticked all of a sudden ? At around 11 minutes in.
Hi Holly, thanks for watching! This must have gotten left out in the editing process 😮 You will just need to turn on the layer the girl was on was on. The extra layer was deleted or merged.
@@CristinAF thanks for sharing never the less. I found the answer in the comments and am grateful for your video! Learnt a lot! Don’t quit
Soo! You don't have to pay it every mont, right? 😮 You pay for the purchase isn't it?

thank you... I purchased last night. I just wondered how to change the colour palette when you put onto multiply? thank you for your videos.
@@uniquevinyls3431thank you! If you’re on the multiply layer, one of the ways you can change the colors is by using the Hue slider under “Hue, Saturation, Brightness” menu which is located in the Adjustments menu (the magic wand 🪄 icon)
Thank you so much@@CristinAF
