Ex etiquette is quite hard if you were dumped and the guy constantly disrespects you and hangs your dity linen out there to your friends and his friends💔💔
To that Luhya lady whose mother does not approve of the boyfriend, i would tell her to please consider her mother. I come from a place where my grandma hated us literally just because she did not approve of my dad. She is a Luhya my dad was a Luo. Gai she used to insult us and call us wajaluo weusi ,(my moms family were light skinned beautiful and kinda well off compared to my dads side)she basically disowned my mom and is and would openly show discrimination against us. So yes its so easy for Lydia and Murugi to say be done with bigotry etc ,its easier said when you have never and will probably never experience that, but for us the victims of that situations we are still traumatised and even though we know it was bulshit and not fair, the feelings are always raw when it comes to thinking about those Christmases where she would buy clothes for everybody but my sisters and i. It was horrible. If her mom means the most to her and if she wants her mom to be a part of her childrens life then she should just do it, but then make it a point to herself to be free from her moms ways of thinking. If she does not care about her mom then fuck her and her tribalism, marry your Kikuyu man, and start a life with him, but be prepared for the consequences. Do not subject your kids to her .its always the first or second generation to make a change that they see fit.
