Damn just got my G0 and paid extra for the mag/tripod adapter. Glad I watched this though because I hadn’t realised holding the button gives gradual reduction to the light output I thought there was only a single reduced light option.
The problem with Ali express is that they use deceptive advertising. OI would like to try the Black Dog but when I visited Ali, they advertised the BD for $5 and when I tried to check-out, I double-checked and saw the $5 was for a couple stickers. When I went back and made certain I was getting the lantern, the price jumped to $18. In America this is called "Bait & switch" and is illegal. China sees this as normal. Be REAL careful when buying from ANY chinese company. My alternate is the UCO Leschi. At $12 it is affordable and I get what I want, not what they switch me to.
It's a but like ebay and amazon. You scan for the cheapest version as they compete and sell the same thingnthen find the cheaper one is insane delivery fees so it's not rally that different. You'll never get a lantern like that fir £5 so anyone that knows ali express knows that'll be for the end can or some option rather than the lantern. In comparison to one of the most popular lanterns out there I've had both for some time now and this one out performs the goal zero and is still cheaper. Of course you can find cheaper lights but not that do what this one does. 👍
Naturehike Black Dog link is confusing! I think what you have is the "Black Lamp" which now says it's £24.08. Then they have "Silvery 1.0" for the same price, "Silvery 2.0" for £19.34 or "Silvery 3.0" for £25.50 (and this one looks like it may have a fold out USB connector like the goal zero). No where does it mention USB-C or show an image of the base. If I could get what you've got for £15 or less I'd go for it!
Dead right! I have a now bricked Goal Zero charger which the same folding USB mechanism. I had hardly used the charger and its now useless. I wont be buying any more Goal Zero stuff.

It was 18months ago so probably changed the link. Can't keep up with them all but I wouldn't go for the fold out usb as its a weak spot

Yes still using it. Not as much as the evenings have been lighter but will be using more toward the winter 👍
