I'm pretty sure there are laws against that. You have a right to privacy in the dwelling you rent. (Depends ultimately on where you live though.) That specific circumstance may also depend on the if the bathroom was included in your agreement and if it was shared by others. A place I rented had one bathroom for the 2 or 3 tenants there. Never had any issues, as everyone took turns, and I was hardly ever there anyway. But yeah, that's really weird.

When a contract is strange, a court could definitely throw it out, but outside of that, these behaviors would need to be proven, which is nearly impossible, especially in locations that have two/all party recording consent laws. Can prove it with a recording but it couldn't be used as evidence in those cases.
For all you renters out there, this is actually illegal. Even if there’s a clause allowing a landlord free access to your rental property, they have to give you at least 24 hours notice. Contracts can’t violate laws
