I think it's to add a defining quality on the other side, simlar to braided faux-hawks.
So glad I wasn't the only one bothered by the scalp of the mannequin head showing. SO easy to fix!!
@@buttarain27 Nah fam. Leaving the bare scalp like that just makes it look like you have thin hair. Braided faux-hawks are a completely different style than what the lady did in this video.

in the sixties. She did this one, and wore it quite often. It was called a " French Twist". This is a pretty way of doing it also , great job

I feel your pain! All my life, complete strangers have complimented me on my long, naturally blonde hair. At 58, it is a darker blonde than the white blonde I had as a child, but I don't have a single gray! I had it cut about six years ago because arthritis and fibromyalgia were making it too difficult for me to manage. My hair was just skimming my hips then and I had nearly 20 inches cut off.
Since then, due to ongoing medical problems, I have been losing my hair like gangbusters! My poor hair, that was once so thick that my ponytail wouldn't fit in those ponytail barrettes for thick hair, is now pitifully thin. I can take a barrette half that size now, twist my hair up into a knot and use the one barrette to secure the whole thing and my hairline is moving further and further back on my forehead.
And, hair! It's everywhere in our house - like there is a hair carpet on top of the wall to wall!
I don't know what led to your unfortunate loss, but you have my empathy. I understand how much it affects the way you look at yourself in the mirror and how you feel about yourself. If you've always felt that your hair was one of your best features, the chink to your self esteem can be even worse. I hope you've found some new and creative ways of working with what you have now that make you feel attractive. Best of everything to you and take good care.
And, for anyone else who may be reading this, I second Ms. Clementine's admonition. Be kind to your hair and be mindful of what you put into your bodies. Some things can't be prevented, i.e. medical conditions, but the effects may be lessened if you've been taking care all along! Best wishes for the best locks of your lives! 💇🏼♀️

U can comb it together, it is just there bcoz she parted the hair with three ponytails, just comb the part together with a comb and hairspray, or just if ur hair is real thin on the sides, this wouldn’t be a good style.

Its a dummy, hair on them are in rows. I dont think it'd look like that on your hair hun.
You can always run a brush or a comb from your hairline towards the back of your head and that'll help smooth out any irregularities or spaces. I hope that helps you💝

This is a quick remake of the French roll, however there as the queen of French rolls back in the day, there are not supposed to be any sections and one side should not have a seem. But I still like this for modern day!
