Mambajao became a town in 1855. The name was coined from the Visayan term " Mamahaw," meaning to usher breakfast and "bajao," which is leftover boiled rice. In the early 1900s, Mambajao prospered to become the busiest port in Northern Mindanao. Source:

Mambajao pronounced as Mam-ba-haw) the center of businesses and markets. Supermarkets, Banks, Wet Goods and other private companies are easy to be found here and even old buiding , Ancestral house are still stood up.
Camiguin Island "LANZONES FESTIVAL" is a yearly celebration in thanksgiving for the harvest of the island's most famous “Lanzones” fruit.

Is it me or does it seem like this city/island has a decent amount of old buildings. Always like seeing whatever old buildings are left and preserved as possible wherever in the Philippines. Hopefully they stand as much possible with modernity. Town/Island also seems more relaxing and maintained than the bigger cities in the country.
