I have to say the Wetlands graveyard really grew on me because of Hardcore. I died twice trying to run to Ironforge as a young night elf, and then once more at a more appropriate level. It holds nice memories now. Top 10 ducks please? 🦆
So fun lore fact about Aderic's Repose, it's where Genn Greymane's son Liam is buried, if you do the questline from Dragonflight where the Worgen retake Gilnaes Genn will visit it, Tess Greymane (Genn's daughter/Liam's sister) left a peacebloom on said grave you can just yoink up, it's a toy that lets Worgen teleport back to Gilneas, non Worgen can pick it up though.
Elephant Graveyards probably did exist, but I doubt they do in today's world. In the sandbox survival game Conan Exiles' major DLC the Isle of Siptah is an elephant graveyard and houses a lot of elephant skeletons. It's one of those cases where it was started in truth but eventually fell to myth. As for WoW, Gilneas definitely has a well designed cemetery. As you pointed out, not many go there outside quests or leveling Worgen in Cata Classic or Retail. As for SM:GY, I prefer the one we can visit in Classic and Cata Classic. Holds more nostalgia for us who played pre-MoP, plus I prefer the Monastery was it was pre-MoP.

I love the kodo graveyard. It's such a comfy area for me, but so is Desolace in general.
