I Am an old school C&C guy yet never got into the mods..is there a high learning curve to installing? do you have yo create a different game instance to run these great mods? how would one go about installing these?

It's simple. All you have to do is take a copy of the game folder and put the mod you want inside the copy. And so on with every mod you want to add.
